Enjoyed our stay

Enjoyed our stay here. We always choose the Whaler due to its prime location and beach access. This unit was spacious with gorgeous views. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay!

We recently stayed at this property and had a great experience. The unit was spacious, clean and perfect for our family. The bed was very soft and cozy. Highly recommend staying here, we certainly will!

Great location!

This condominium has a great location and a beautiful view of the ocean. It is well equipped for cooking and the BBQs onsite are great. There is also some fun beach gear you can use (eg boogie boards, snorkel, etc.). Highly recommend this property!

I would recommend this condo.

We loved the condo. Very clean and hand everything that we needed. The location was very convenient and the ocean view was wonderful. James always responded quickly with any questions I had.

Our Maui dream vacation

This unit was great. The location was great. The views were amazing! Jim, the owner, could not have been better to work with. The staff at the Whaler were very kind and helpful. Maui did not disappoint, and neither did Jim.

July 2023 stay

The unit was nice; we’ve stayed there before. The location and views from the property can’t be beat. James was an awesome host, and beyond helpful when we had to adjust our stay/dates. Made sure we were able to check in to the unit and made himself available if we ever had questions. We always enjoy staying at the Whaler and will definitely go back again.

Excellent!!

The Whaler’s proximity to Kaanapali Beach and Whalers Village makes it one of the best properties on Maui’s northwestern shore. James was a most gracious host. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. When I book a VRBO, location and testimonials about the owner, are my top 2 considerations. This condo does not disappoint in either regard.

Great Condo

The condo was as shown on VRBO. Although located in the back of the property we had an enormous lani with views of the beach. Condo was very well equipped with beach supplies and extra towels. It is also very convenient to Whalers village. Whaler offers free beach chairs with other items for rent. James was a perfect host, who stayed in constant, text, contact. We would stay here again!

Couldn’t ask for more!

Great location! Beautiful corner unit with all the amenities including boogie boards snorkel gear, quality beach chairs ., owner was extremely helpful and always available on island.He even got us guest cards to Lahaina yacht club From check in at the Aston front desk to sunsets on the lanai this unit and property checks all the boxes. Underground parking and the fitness center we’re also a bonus! We would not hesitate to rent this unit again.

Well maintained and great location

Nice views from the Lanai. The unit had ample room for 4, and the murphy bed in the living room is a huge upgrade over a fold out couch. The kitchen was well-stocked. We liked the grounds of the Whaler and the proximity to the mall and the beach path. Very convenient underground parking. Generally pretty quiet at night (except for the horn from the sugar cane train). We would definitely look to stay here the next time we are in Maui.

Kaanapali Family Vacay

We were very happy with all aspects of this fully stocked condo in addition to its convenient location. The view was spectacular and wrap around lanai added so much outdoor light and airiness to the living and dining areas. My family with young also enjoyed the pool and proximity to beach as well as its access to Whalers Village. A good time was had by all! Thank you to James who ensured all questions were answered and was so very accommodating. We will return!

Wonderful comfortable stay

Loved everything about the condo. Comfortable with lots of amenities. The whaler never disappoints. The only negative was it was noisy being right by the lobby and the driveway which was only a problem when the sliders were open. Beautiful condo with everything you could possibly need and Jim made sure we didn't lack for anything. We loved our stay and appreciated Jim's concern for our comfort.

Great condo on Kaanapali

The condo itself was great. We are a family of 5. Having two bathrooms and a full kitchen made our vacation infinitely better. The murphy bed meant that everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The wrap-around lanai was spacious and had great views. 3rd floor location meant short elevator rides, or stairs. Jim was a very accommodating host and checked in to ensure we were comfortable and happy with the unit, before, during, and after our stay. He went above and beyond. We would stay in this unit again if/when we return to Maui!

Great Vacation Accommodation! A perfect getaway!

I stayed at this Whaler rental condo in February 2018 with my family. It is in a great location right in the middle of Kaanapali. Close to restaurants and shopping as well as snorkelling at Blackrock. There was enough room for four adults when using the Murphy bed which was very comfortable. The room was clean and really well equipped. Check in is through the Whaler Hotel which should make the renter very comfortable renting this unit. No worry if anything goes wrong. The owner is very quick to respond if you have any questions. A really great place to stay that I would highly recommend. Thanks so much.

Beautiful, updated and spacious unit

We love this unit and rent it once a year. It is conveniently located on the 3rd floor. It has a large wrap around lanai, since it is in the back corner with a courtyard view. The furniture and beds are quality and very comfortable. The kitchen is nicely updated with top notch appliances and is fully stocked with all the essentials you need. The unit is very clean and well taken care of. The owner of the unit, James, communicates with you before you come and after you arrive to make sure you’re happy and to see if there’s anything else you need. We couldn’t be happier staying at this beautiful unit with much aloha🌺

perfect location in paradise

This unit has everything I needed for our stay. There are beach chairs and coolers to sit on the beach. The kitchen has everything we needed. Having the corner unit means a bigger balcony. Beautiful views of the ocean and hills. The location is perfect and easy to get to if you don’t want to bother with the elevator, the stairs are right there. It was nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit. Jim was so pleasant to talk to and he just really wants his customers to have the best possible vacation and he’ll do anything within his power to do just that for you. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Btw, I had the best night’s sleep in that cozy bed! Thank you, Jim, for your hospitality!

Perfect Condo

My husband, two children(11 and 12), and I stayed at this property in early August. It is in a prime location and is within walking distance of stores/restaurants and Black Rock to snorkel. Due to storms earlier in the year, many other properties nearby lost their beach. There is an excellent beach in front that we went to daily. We also swam in the pool conveniently located right off the beach. The kitchen is fully stocked, so we could have meals at the condo and enjoy the beautiful ocean view while sitting on the patio. We brought our own snorkel gear, but there are chairs, snorkel gear, an umbrella, and a cooler that are available for use. Jim was a wonderful host and we sure that we, were settled in, and he was super helpful. It is a great

Amazing place and amazing management

It all starts with the property manager. Jim was excellent from beginning to end. His communication was attentive, but not overwhelming. I would 100% rent from him again. If you’ve never stayed at The Whaler look no further. We’ve stayed up north Napili and down south in Wailea. This location is the best! Beaches are top notch, restaurants are covenient and the hotel vibe is perfect for honeymooners or family. We had no issues but in our unit and having our own laundry and drier was super convenient. This unit has everything you need to cook a large meal. Ice chest, float toys and chairs. There is not 1 negative I can think of. Thank you Jim. Our stay was everything I could have imagined.
