Nestling just below Sesimbra castle, on the top of the hill, surrounded by wood and ancient Roman paths, with breathtaking view over the Atlantic Ocean, "Paradise Cottage" it is the ideal place to rest, to enjoy nature in its full beauty and harmony. Totally independent with private parking place, it's about 10 minutes away by foot of Sesimbra's historical center and seaside, convenient if you want to get to taste the local food.
I would suggest you to have a car to be more independent and be able to explore the coastline and the wonderful surroundings near Sesimbra, such as Espichel Cape, Meco village and seasides, or the beautiful Arrábida Mountains and seasides. You are 10 minutes away by foot of Sesimbra historical center and its very mild see beaches, just perfect for small children or to swim like in a swimming pool. You can get to Lisbon in less than an hour.It's about 15 minutes away by foot of Sesimbra's historical center and seaside, convenient if you want to get to taste the local food, we recommend the very good, with no less very good prices, Lobo do Mar restaurant (Wolf of the Sea Restaurant), or if you want to get out and explore the fantastic coastline with its amazing seasides and national parks. From the cottage you can take a 15 minutes walk directly to the castle, through an ancient Roman path.

Abschalten und runterkommen

Der besondere Charme dieses kleinen Häuschens hat uns direkt bei der Anreise empfangen. Um sich selbst zu versorgen fehlt es an nichts. Im angrenzenden Garten lässt es sich herrlich abschalten. Oberhalb des Gebäudes befinden sich Wanderwege, um die nähere Umgebung kennenzulernen. Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub, wir können uns gut vorstellen an diesen zauberhaften Ort zurück zukehren. Amazing stay

This cabin is wonderful! Very clean and spacious, equipped with everything you need. From bedlinnen to washing machine, to books and games. The location is great, close to everything, and still very quiet and peaceful. On top of the hill, in the woods, overlooking the ocean. The view is extraordinary! From seeing the sun come up over the hill in the morning, to the glistening of the sun on the ocean in the afternoon, to the flickering lights of the town at night. You can make many daytrips from this location, as it is close to Setubal, Troia, and even Lisbon. The owner is very nice. The communication was fast and easy, and he made sure we really felt at home. We will most definitely return, and recommend this cabin to all. Thank you, Nuno!

Lovely, quiet place to stay

This was just what we wanted from the point of view of quietness, facilities and a fantastic view. The only problem we had was that there is no local bar or café. We love to be able to walk out and have an early evening drink without having to get in the car or, as in this case, walk twenty minutes into Sesimbra

Ruhe mit schöner Aussicht

Wurden herzlich von Herr Nuno empfangen. Das Haus hat alles was es für den Urlaub braucht. Vom Haus hat man eine schöne Aussicht auf Sesimbra und das Meer. Die Lage ist ruhig.Für Ausflüge um Lissabon und Setubal optimal.

Great little house for two people

Nuno's little house is really wonderful. It sits high above the village with wonderful views out to sea. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and tranquility. We very much enjoyed visiting the market in the village almost every day. It has an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables and most importantly fish which we barbecued on the grill in the garden.

Great authentic place

We had a great two weeks in Sesimbra. Our host, Nuno Barosso, was very helpful, flexible & gave some good tips. The house has a nice view on the bay of Sesimbra, right from the dining table. There a books in all sorts of languages, in case it rains. The house has a welcome, open, warm and authentic feeling. From the house it is easy to walk to the castle from one side and to a waterfall from the other side. Everything you need is in the house, including a washing machine and WiFi. We can certainly recommend this place.

Sehr schönes Haus, mit voller Ausstattung, ruhig gelegen mit tollem Blick auf Sesimbra.

Wir haben als Paar zwei tolle Wochen in dem Haus verbracht. Das Haus besitzt alles, was man benötigt und im Garten und auf der Terrasse kann man herrlich entspannen und ausruhen.

we have spend an amazing time in this house of Sesimbra. It is equipped with all necessary and has a very good stable internet connection. The house is absolutely separate from another neighbours. It has its own garden territory where you can have a breakfast, sunbathing or grill something. From garden there is a wonderful view overlooking the town. The location is perfect. You are in nature and in the city at the same time if you need. Sesimbra is 15 min by foot. It is a very nice place with developed infrastructure. There are many restaurants to choose from. It has also a fish market. The big supermarkets are also given and they are about 7 min by car from the city. The location of Sesimbra is also suitable for those who prefer to visit the north of Portugal and the south as well. I would like to thank Nuno for his assistance! When we had some questions he was always available and helped us whatever we needed. I wish you also enjoy your holiday in Portugal in this house and I am sure it will be unforgettable. Aleksandra

Fantastisch uitzicht en veel privacy

Kleine en allerliefst huisje en moet je het ook zien als een vakantiewoning. Hoewel het huis niet groot is voorziet het in alle behoeften en is de woonkamer en keuken groot genoeg voor een gezin. De tuin is groot en grenst aan het terrein van het bovengelegen kasteel. Een wandel- en fietspad loopt achter het huis langs, maar heb je weinig hinder van. De tuin biedt een geweldig uitzicht over het stadje en zee. De zon verdwijnt circa 17:30 achter de berg. Eigenaar Nuno is een rustige en charmante man. Hij vertelde bij ons aankomst de belangrijkste zaken omtrent de woning en gaf tips over het verblijf in Sesimbra. Wifi netwerk was top, werkte altijd en vol speed. Als je gaat voor een mooi uitzicht, veel privacy en een charmant vakantiehuis.... boek dit!

Lovely chalet

We had a very lovely stay at this cottage. Everything in the house and in the garden was exactly as described.The stunning view from the property was our personal highlight. The host-family was very helpful and friendly - thanks again Nuno for the fresh fish on the first evening! We would recommend this house to our friends and family, since it is perfect for couples but also for families. The beach is just a 5 min-drive away, the city centre of Sesimbra is perfect for strolling around or enjoying a coffee in one of the cafés. Some other attractions are close nearby (f.i. the Castelo de Sesimbra, Cabo Espichel, Setúbal,...) and Lissabon is only a 30 min-drive away. There's a good chance we might come back ;-)

petit paradis

Excellent séjour dans cette jolie petite maison au calme sur les hauteurs de Sesimbra, très bien située par rapport au centre ville, ses plages et ses bons restaurants où manger le poisson frais grillé. La maison est parfaitement équipée, avec une vue splendide sur la baie et l'océan, un accueil très chaleureux et généreux des propriétaires qui nous ont donné plein de bons conseils et adresses. Notre petite fille a dormi dans sa "cabane" sur la mezzanine, nous avons pu profiter du jardin fleuri et du barbecue pour les sardines grillées ! Un petit paradis que l'on recommande vivement.

Localização de excelência

Fiquei espantada com o local. Serra, quase a paredes meias com as muralhas do castelo, e mar a perder de vista. A casa é confortável e acolhedora, envolvida numa biodiversidade de sons, cheiros, cores e ar puro. Muito relaxante, com cabras a pastar no meio da propriedade. Aconselhamos o restaurante Lobo do Mar, com um passeio pela doca pesca, e a visita ao Cabo Espichel. Gostámos muito. É um sítio onde apetece estar, ficar e voltar. O nosso muito obrigado aos proprietários pela excelente estadia que nos proporcionaram!

Boa escolha.

É uma casa especial, com uma vista fantástica e um espaço exterior agradável. Totalmente diferente, para melhor, dos habituais apartamentos disponíveis em Sesimbra. Não sendo muito central, permite ter a sensação de estar "no campo", quando até se pode ir a pé até à marginal. Possibilidade de estacionar à porta de casa. Os proprietários são muito simpáticos e acolhedores. Um ou outro utensílio de cozinha a substituir, mas nada de importante. No inverno deve ser muito agradável acender a lareira. Em resumo: gostámos bastante, e recomendamos.
