It's very well situated to the main bike trail, village, Lodge and golf. We would rent it again.

Entertainment didnt work

Everything was great. It was clean, and in a great location. The only thing is the cable didn’t work. Not a big deal because we weren’t at the house a lot of the time but I like to watch news in the morning and wasn’t able to do so. In the winter no tv could be rough.

Lovely location

Excellent location, beautiful view, lovely deck. Golfers need to be aware that Sunriver Lodge golf access (both courses) is now private or Lodge guest only. After 25 years of visiting, we were unpleasantly surprised.

Review time

Was a great stay but condo could use some minor updates. First, the bed needs updated badly and a curtain in the upstairs bathroom for privacy!! While this was a quaint place the small spiral stairway is small for big people. Loved the pine and location!!!

Great location; not all as advertised

This place was nice and centrally located but was a missing a couple things that were advertised. There was no hot tub. Wasn’t a deal breaker for me but if it was advertised, it’s a little misleading not to have it. Also, there were two bicycles there, which we appreciated using, but they were VERY old and beat up. Could not adjust the seat on the women’s bike and it was Very low and not so comfortable to ride. The bikes need to be better maintained or replaced. The property management was very responsive when we couldn’t get the cable TV to work and when we were missing a window screen. It was VERY hot while we were there, so the absence of A/C made it impossible to sleep upstairs. It does cool down in the middle of the night/early morning. Overall, we were pleased with the property.

We love our Sunriver vacations each year

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We escaped to Sunriver to enjoy some quiet and outdoor recreation. When we arrived our second day was blasted by the noise of a jackhammer right outside our condo. As this continued unexpectedly throughtout the morning we called Sunset Lodging. Our concern was handled in a kind manner by the staff with a satisfactory result of compensation for the disruption in our not so quiet retreat. Ware grateful for their understanding in a difficult situation.I am writing that I would not recommend this particular property due to the large selection of newer rentals available. We came with our own bikes and decided to keep them in the space which meant lugging then upstairs. however, for the price, it was satisfactory. Staff was kind. The location was convienent with a lovely view. Downside was the unit is upstairs, the TV is mounted up very high, the toaster didn't work and the hallway had an unpleasant odor.Upside was location and price, view and kind staff!

Wouldn't waste the money staying here

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We take a trip go to Sunriver every summer & winter. This place looked nice & cozy from the pictures but it was anything but that. The only unit that doesn't have AC, but NEEDS it. We knew it didn't have AC before we rented but was promised fans-no fans in the unit. It was 85 in the house when we arrived. The house smelled. The couches, carpet, chairs, and beds all had stains. I didn't let my kids sit on the couch without a towel over it. The mattresses were worse than a cheap hotel mattress, and we're probably older than I am. We had to take the hide a bed mattress and put that on top of the futon for our kids bed but you could still feel the bars under both those. Honestly there was nothing enjoyable about this home and for the price we should have stayed at the small resort room. This house needs a lot of remodel and just basic cleaning but seems they don't even want to put the money into even a new mattresses. Very disappointed and I don't see us using any of these homes again.

Perfect condo for 2!

The kitchen upgrade is very nice, although it could use more utensils, but we made do. The TV mounted high above the slider makes viewing a bit awkward and hard on the neck. Condo was in good shape overall, but the squeaking floors in the bedroom was annoying. The cruiser bikes are great for exploring the miles of paths and the views from the deck are the best of all Kitty Hawks! We also appreciate the quietness of our surroundings and the walking distance proximity to the Village.

I love Sunriver and Kitty Hawk #9 is part of it

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I love Sunriver and we have been coming there for the past seven years. Out of these we stayed in Kitty Hawk #9 five times. The cleanliness of the unit improved, there were nice updates to the unit, so overall it is a great place to stay. Some downsides: we used to get free tickets to SHARC (swimming center) for all four of us for the entire length of stay. Now it is only four passes for the first day of stay, then $13 per pass per person, so if you love SHARC you are looking at substantial cost increases. Also, SHARC passes cannot be used for the morning swim anymore :( Hopefully, property management company can make a better deal with SHARC next year.

Mother daughter getaway

It was almost like sleeping on a piece of plywood Called staff about key instructions and the lady was very short with me when I picked up the key she pointed to where the packet was and didn't ask if I had ant questions or offer any information. When I called the next day to find out where the bikes were, the gal was pleasant enough but didn't know the color of the bikes but told me sunset lodging was engraved on them When we found the bike carport with many bikes, we just had to try the combination until we could find the bikes. We couldn't find any engraving on them. It seems there should be a information sheet with your packet that includes he bike info and the iffice should have a master notebook with that information readily available

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A delightful and cozy unit with a beautiful kitchen with ample work space and many appliances, very well lit. The décor has a real log cabin feel to it. The living area has a comfy couch and fireplace, with a spectacular view of the golf course and mountains. A circular staircase takes you to the bedroom with a full bath, and also a great view of the golf course and meadow. There is some construction going on in the exterior but this did not at all detract from our stay. This unit was an easy walk to the village and accessible to all bike paths. It was clean and very quiet!

Sunriver Stay at Kitty Hawk Condo #9

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have enjoyed spending a late fall vacation in Kitty Hawk condos at Sunriver for about the past ten years, booking with Sunset Realty. We prefer these condos because of their proximity to the bike paths around the river, the stables, marina, airport and lodge activities. However, after checking in on Thursday afternoon for four nights, we found the parking for our condo (and a number of others) was completely closed off because of resealing the only driveway into it. Sunset personnel were surprised to learn of this, directed us to a parking lot some distance away, and provided a maintenance worker to carry our belongings. Then we found the building housing our condo was being re-sided and fitted with new windows on the walls of our condo—resulting in a such an intolerable amount of construction noise on Friday that we left for the day. On returning we found construction-type debris on couches & carpeting by a window and the same thing in the bathroom. Again, Sunset seemed unaware of what was going on. They immediately sent ladies from housekeeping to clean up the mess. Things went well over the weekend, but, of course, the construction began again early Monday as we were preparing to leave. Sunset Realty was not open to any reimbursement for the day we actually had to be away because of the noise and stress of the construction.
