We loved the convenience of being about to walk around Florence every day. The 4 floor with no lift was no joke! We usually only left once a day because we dreaded that climb back up! We were disappointed that we were unable to ever get in contact with the owner for check out directions. We cleaned up our messes and left the keys on the table.

Perfect location. Beautifully decorated and appointed. The apartment was very clean. The bed was a bit hard. Apartment 4 flights up...we should have realized from view photo... but we didn't. We are seniors and climb a bit difficult. View pictured is very limited and located in room that is under utilized ( spare bedroom?). The balcony was absolutely delightful! We were met by an associate of the owner who provided unexpected and much appreciated assistance. Grazie!

Excellent location and stay

The apartment was great. We did not lock the iron gate on the third floor based upon reviews so we had no issues with that. We assumed the four flights of stairs would get easier over our 10 day stay. They did not. Antonina checked in on us by message and was very friendly but the language barrier was a challenge. Location was fabulous as was the balcony. Would stay again.

Communication awful with host, bedbugs in the bedroom (photos provided of bites on face).

Stressful few days after being locked of of apartment and host did not help with the jammed door lock. Communication awful with host, no sheets provided on second bedroom. I purchased sheets for 81.00 to sleep on and ended up with bed bud bites on face and extremities.We then had to find other accommodations and left the apartment due to this.

Great apartment!

Great stay perfect location. Right by the David gallery. Great view of duomo from window. Great terrace. Apartment was awesome! But don’t lock rod iron gate! we got locked in. Antonina is very kind and wants to help but language barrier was difficult. Directions were not helpful to get to property. There are two same addresses. Need to know to go by academia.it would have been very helpful to have known that in advance

Great location. lovely apartment, 66 steps

Overall very pleasant Love the historic building and nice finishes. Only problem was check in. Not enough detail provided on location - crossstreet should be noted as Ricwsoli. The host does not speak or understand English very well. So you need to know italian or impose on someone walking by to aid in communicating over the phone.The host was ill and could not meet us to hand over the keys and seeminly waited until after we arrived to make arrangements with a friend to bring us keys. It took three phone calls and we kept being told someone would arrive in 20 min, then 30 min in total, we waited nearly an hour. So, a rough start but overall we were pleased with location and accommodations. Note: there are 66 steps and no elevator.

Authentic

Great very clean authentic apartment with modern renovations.  Centrally located with walkability to major sites and restaurants.  View of the Duomo and a lovely balcony.  For check in, we had to call the host to find out how to get the keys.  Her friend brought them to us within a few minutes.  Speaking at least some Italian is definitely a plus for checking in.  We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it.

We loved the apartment decor and location. Steps up to 4th floor are steep but for us it was well worth it. Would stay here again if ever in Florence. Beautiful city!! Thank you Antonine.

Great location, beautiful apartment with view

We loved our stay. Once we finally found the apartment we were greeted with a bottle of wine. The apartment info is a little hard to navigate. You must look for the black number not the red one. Communication was hard and sporatic. Be prepared that you may need to buy toiletries or other necessities while using the apartment. There are about 60 stairs to the apartment, but they are worth the view! If you are aware of these things your stay will be great! Our overall stay was wonderful and the location is perfect for walking to and from all the sights Florence has to offer. There is also a very convenient cafe right down the street to grab a coffee and quick breakfast before you head out for your day. Florence is beautiful and we can't wait to go back!

We had problems with the stairs. We had a lot of luggage and the stairs are medieval. Also communication problems due to the language barrier. The apartment is ok but the stairs are a problem.

Nice views and well stocked

Well stocked apartment with great views. Bed was comfortable, AC worked well. Kitchen was decently stocked to make some coffee and food. Finding the place was a bit confusing, check in process could have been made more smooth with better directions beforehand. Google maps will take you to the wrong address, but Antonina helped me find the right place. Also, be ready to use google translate to communicate with Antonina. All together a nice stay.

Great location and amazing stay!

We had such a lovely time in Florence and the apartment was just what we needed! It's such a cute space with everything you need. We even did laundry which was so nice to have access to on a long vacation. The only thing that I wish were different was the bed. It's the firmest bed I've ever slept on and as someone with back and shoulder problems, that was a bit challenging. But Antonia was very helpful and responsive, even making sure we had extra pillows because I told her that I am pregnant and extras would be appreciated for sleeping comfortably. Which definitely came in handy given the firmness of the bed. The location was also great, just a short walk from all the activity of Florence. We really loved the apartment and had such a great time!

Beautiful Apartment in a great location

We stayed for four nights and loved every second. There are stairs, but this is Europe. They're manageable, but know they're there. The apartment itself is fantastic. The host is reachable via WhatsApp if you needed to call or text her. Her English is limited, but better than our Italian. We used google translate to message on WhatsApp and it was dead easy. Antonina was wonderful, we had a coffee with her. The apartment is clean, has beautiful views, is in a great location and I'd stay there again! As others have said look for the Blue house numbers, google maps will put you down the street about a block or two. This is right near the corner by the cafe w/ gelato by the Accademia.

Beautiful,but???

The apartment was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The patio was a wonderful asset. We loved everything, but we had a problem that worried us. The iron gate that goes up the last flight of stairs would not open to let us out. It was very frightening for an hour before we could pry it open with a knife. The deadbolt jammed and had a problem which we hope has been remedied. You must be aware that there are 60 large stairs to climb up, but the apartment is worth it if you are able to do so.

Great option in the heart of Florence

Perfect location! Yes there are stairs to climb, but you should expect that in Europe. Great experience and I highly recommend. Warning: if you use Google maps to find it, you’ll go to the wrong location. There are 2 places with the same address - the business section and the residential section. Google maps takes you to the business section. Once you find it - it’s well worth it.

Great location, lovely property

The property was as advertised. It's located 1/2 a block from the Accademia Gallery and about a 10 minute walk from the Duomo square. The apartment has a lovely balcony for late night glasses of wine and was spacious and clean. Beware of the steps to get up to this 4th floor apartment (63 in total). Also, we did have some trouble finding it. Florence has two numbers on each property and it's the newer blue ones you need to look for, google maps lead us to the older number system. Once we found it it was perfect for our needs. Communication with the manager is best done via messages/email as there is a bit of a language barrier. All in all I'd highly recommend this property.

A gem in a great location

Apartment very tastefully decorated within walking distance of just about everything. Lovey terrace. Note the 65 stairs may be a challenge for anybody with any kind of mobility issues. The host spoke very limited English, which made communication a bit of a challenge, but her friend, Antonio was super in stepping up to support our needs

BAD access to site. 4 floors with tiny, dark, irregular steps. INFO WAS IN ITALIAN!

Unit was rustic,cute and convenient EXCEPT FOR ACCESS TO THE UNIT. Hosts approach to our asking for assistance getting luggage upstairs was."hahaha not my probem". Emergency required us to vacate unit early morning before last day. When asked for refund said 1day would be refunded . Should have been ~210€. But was much less.(30€) Haven't received yet from VRBO. This unit isn't for everyone, description should be better and in English. I expect to receive full refund for last day as promised.

Wonderful Visit!

Just loved our stay in Florence. The apartment has a great view, the perfect perch to sit and sketch awhile. The sunrise is amazing! The location was ideal, close to everything--and being high up from the street, the city noise was minimal. Those stairs are no joke, though, so pack light and be prepared for a good workout!
