Un ático de una habitación ubicado en una calle sin salida con amplio estacionamiento justo afuera del edificio, pero también tiene un garaje en el sótano. Todavía está a solo 5 minutos a pie del centro de la ciudad de Alora, donde podrá encontrar todas las tiendas, restaurantes, bares de tapas y supermercados. El ático tiene una cocina moderna, WIFI, Sky TV y aire acondicionado / calefacción. Alora es un pueblo blanco tradicional andaluz que se encuentra en la cima de las colinas de El Hacho, que está a 400 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Un pueblo tradicional español de trabajo, con sus calles estrechas, sinuosas, empedradas y tiendas locales, encontrará una gran variedad de restaurantes y bares de tapas. Alora es muy popular entre los golfistas, caminantes y escaladores, ya que está a solo 20 minutos del hermoso distrito andaluz de los lagos de El Chorro, famoso por su barranco y escalada en roca y una visita al Caminito del Rey.

Perfect choice in Alora

We stayed in this this lovely, bright apartment for one week in March. We had everything we needed, and the hamper of goodies left by Helen & Steve was much appreciated as we arrived on a Sunday when all the shops were closed. For a one bed apartment it is very spacious, with plenty of storage space. There is a file full of information on places to visit and local cafes/ bars etc. which are all within easy walking distance and a large, well stocked supermarket just a couple of minutes drive away. It is spotlessly clean and the views from the bedroom balcony are breathtaking. There is a lift for access and we always found room to park outside. Although you can easily reach Alora by train from Malaga, we decided to hire a car so we could explore the area. We're glad we did as we ended up clocking up 800 kilometres! We walked the Caminito Del Rey in the El Chorro gorge, a must for anyone adventurous and had been on our wish list since it opened. All in all, a brilliant choice of accommodation - we loved the apartment and loved Alora. Thanks Helen & Steve.

Fantastic apartment in a lovely village

A lovely, well equipped and tastefully decorated, comfortable apartment. Alora is a welcoming village with an excellent selection of bars, restaurants and a variety of shops catering for everything we required for a two week holiday. The owners, Steve and Helen made us feel very welcome and we now regard them as friends. They arranged transport from the airport, met us at the apartment, provided the best and most comprehensive welcome pack EVER, drove us round the village the following day and pointed us in the direction of tapas bars and restaurants and supermarkets, printed boarding passes, drove us to the train station and did everything they could to make us feel very welcome. We cannot recommend this apartment and the owners enough and we will be back there next year with a view to buying our own property.Helen and Steve introduced us to local estate agents and gave valuable advice regarding property purchase in the area. The property itself has quality kitchen equipment which is important when the tapas bars have been exhausted and the views from the balcony are beautiful. Already looking at flights for a return visit!

Fantastic apartment in Alora

We really enjoyed our climbing holiday in this beautiful apartment. The apartment is very well equipped and has everything what is needed for a comfortable stay. It is also very well situated in Alora - easy to walk to the bars, supermarket and not far from amazing climbing area in El Chorro. Helen and Steve waited at the apartment to greet us, were very helpful and provided us with the welcome pack (so we didn´t have to go shopping immediately). We can only recommend this place and we are really considering to come back another time.

Perched on the edge of town

This is a well-equipped clean apartment located on the edge of town with good transport connections further inland and to Malaga. The train connections from the airport to Alora worked out smoothly. We didn't meet Helen and Steve until the day we left because they were with relatives in Granada when we arrived. So we didn't get any first hand advice about places to eat or visit nor transport options. Alora is built on steep slopes with a warren of narrow streets and and we quickly found acceptable good value places to eat but none of them would be on my top 10 list. Over the course of our week's stay sightseeing in Alora occupied about a day total. We climbed El Hacho by a long circuitous track but apart from the extensive views it was rather boring. We took the train and bus to El Chorro several times and explored good trails in the area and the famous Caminito del Rey. But to explore further afield you need a car. We visited Malaga on a torrentially wet day but were able to enjoy the main sights either side of the downpour. Two issues that disappointed about the apartment were that the circular floorplate by the WC leaked and the cacophony of barking dogs at night. The latter made for an interrupted sleep and we had to close the double patio doors for sound proofing which cut down ventilation.

Viva Alora!!

My Wife, Tracy and I had a wonderful two weeks vacation in Alora. Helen and Steve provided the perfect place to stay, the apartment was exactly as we envisaged prior to arriving. Helen and Steve were at the apartment to greet us and were very helpful with the where, what and how of the town and the surrounding area, as in shops, the all important tapas bars and restaurants and interesting places to visit. They also provided us with a Welcome Pack of necessities which was very considerate and takes away the immediate pressure to go shopping. The apartment was everything as described and provided the perfect base for our holiday. It is very much a home from home and is equipped to a very high standard. One unforgettable element is the incredible view from the balcony, I never tired of just gazing out on the beautiful landscape of Andalucia, a perfect place to sit and relax, drinking in the view. It was very obvious to us both that Helen and Steve work very hard to ensure that their guests have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday, their helpful presence when needed was an added bonus. All in all, a wonderful holiday in a very special place - of course, we will be returning.

Superb apartment

Helen and Steve's apartment was a fantastic base for our climbing holiday. We were met at the apartment by Helen and Steve who made us feel very welcome and gave lots of useful advice about the town of Alora such as where all the supermarkets were and places to eat out etc. They really went out their way to make sure we were happy. The apartment itself was ideale with all the facilities you need for a stay including a good selection of DVDs and books. The welcome hamper was a fantastic touch meaning we didn't need to worry about shopping for the start of our stay. If ever i was to go back to Alora i'd definitely be checking to see if this apartment was available!

Amazing little place!

Even before arriving to this little but amazing penthouse, we had a great contact with the very friendly owners Helen and Steve. They sent us a description how to find their place and welcomed us personally, showing us around. The apartment is perfectly equiped, quiet, close to the towns main plaza, not too far from Malaga or el Chorro, wich is a marvellous climbing area. We wanted to thank Helen and Steve once more for the fresh oranges, the welcome pack, the cava and making us feel so at home in Alora! Definitely worth staying at their place!!!

Holiday special

Our holiday was made special by the standard of this property it was clean and well laidout.The owners Steve and Helen were very helpful and their welcome hamper was exellent.The property was well situated for us to discover this part of Spain.The town of Alora has a good selection of restaurants at very reasonable prices, DeKnas being the pick for us.We would highly recommend this property and Alora for a special holiday.

The real Spain

We have stayed at this Penthouse a few times now and absolutely love it.... to be able to walk into town to experience true Spain, without the usual tourists is exactly what we wanted. Helen and Steve are the perfect hosts: from the minute they collect you from the airport to dropping off, a wonderful couple. They are one of the reasons we come again and again. Alora is a place you never get fed up visiting and we will be back again!
