Amazing Time in Barbados at Fosters House

We loved the house and the staff!!! The staff were amazing and like family immediately. They were so kind and helpful and the cooking was fantastic! The house is exactly like it appears in the pictures and is a great place for the whole family with plenty to do. Near enough to attractions and activities but far enough away to have some quiet time.

Perfect paradise

Our group of 2 couples thoroughly enjoyed our week at Fosters house on the island of Barbados! From the beginning planning stages we worked with Chris, at tropical island rentals, and his efforts were flawless! He was always quick to respond to your questions and provided other services such as restaurant suggestions, tour opportunities and even arranged in-home massages for our group. Upon our arrival at Fosters house, we were warmly welcomed by the staff of the house. Cheryl, the chef introduced us to the housekeeping team consisting of Anthea, Catherine, Chris-ann and Junette. The house was very well represented on the internet and there were no “surprises” when we toured the property. It met all of our expectations. What completely exceeded our expectations was the staff. These hardworking women made us fell comfortable, welcome and safe. A rental house is just that however, these ladies made us feel at home. It is easily recognizable that their winning attitudes are what makes this property special and they genuinely care about their guests and the upkeep of the house. Because of their efforts, it made our group decision to return at our earliest opportunity!

Fosters House is Paradise

My wife and I selected Fosters House for our recent anniversary trip to Barbados. From the moment we walked in the door, we knew we had made the right choice. The house is incredible and immaculately maintained by the staff. Cheryl, Clare, Anthea, and Catherine were there to greet us when we arrived and immediately made us feel like family. The location of the house is on a beautiful stretch of beach on the sought after west coast of the island. The water is calm due to it being the Caribbean side of the island and the colors are incredible. We enjoyed watching the sunset every evening poolside. No two Bajan sunsets are the same. It does wonders for the soul. Speaking of things that are good for the soul... one is a home cooked meal. Cheryl, the chef, is incredible. She prepared everything from macaroni pie to steak and lobster. Everything she made was incredible. We live near downtown Chicago and trust me when I say that Cheryl could be a chef in any of the nicest restaurants in the city. She’s just that talented. Clare is extremely helpful with putting nice touches on arrangements. She was so helpful with helping add to our experiences at local restaurants and even arranging for jet skis to be brought to the house! Anthea and Catherine are also wonderful. Anthea always has a smile and Catherine is so funny (not to mention she gives the best hugs). Thanks to them, we came home with clean clothes after a trip for the first time ever! The ladies all added to our experience in their own unique way and I feel they truly set Fosters House apart from other vacation rentals on the island. The only regret that we have is that we couldn’t stay two weeks! I guess that means we will have to return!

Wonderful trip

We were part of a group that stayed at this fabulous villa from the end of February and what a wonderful trip we had. From the moment we dropped our bags off in the bedroom I knew it was the perfect place as the sea views were just stunning. We have stayed at several beachfront villas in Barbados and this is definitely one of the most private. It is slightly raised up from the beach so you have lots of privacy by the pool and yet you just open the bottom gate and you are straight out on to a wonderful beach. The beach is great for both swimming and snorkelling. You do get the odd catamaran stopping for their lunch just off the shore but this didn't bother us and it was normally the time we went round the pool anyway. A big thank-you to all the staff for looking after us and for the lovely meals you cooked too. Also thank-you Chris for all your help before the trip and arranging all the details for us so efficiently. Highly recommend this villa.

fantastic villa

What a great house on a beautiful beach. The staff were fantastic and catered to our every need. I must say this is the first time I have come home with clean laundry as they washed everyday and ironed if needed. We left the menu up to the cook as we were on a true vacation and did not want to make decisions at all, this was a good move and all the meals were good. Would I return YOU BET! the only advice I have for visitors is bring a good amount of cash as groceries on this island are extremely expensive, but that's the same on most Caribbean Islands. Looking forward in the future to a return to this paradise. Mike (Toronto Ontario)

Location, location, location, none better. Staff was fantastic as was the Villa itself. Have been to many Caribbean Islands and Barbados is one of the best. A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to experience a unique vacation

Fabulous Experience

We celebrated 3 special occasions at Fosters House, an anniversary and 2 birthdays including my 50th, everything was fabulous, the location of the house is accessible to Holetown and Speightstown. We arrived at the house to be greeted by the 4 fabulous ladies running the house and from the very start they all made sure the experience was one to remember, the house was very clean, tidy and presentable, clean laundry on a regular bases and clean towels daily, pool was cleaned 3 times a week and the food was local and to a great standard, they cooked what we asked for. We had a blast with Claire and her team, we had so much fun with them, they could not have been more helpful and accommodating to our wishes, they really made the extra difference to the stay, Nothing was too much trouble from arranging trips out, to a local taxi service, booking restaurants and even organising a massage therapist to visit the house – just perfect, a big pat on the back to them!!! We booked though Chris at Tropical Island Rentals - chris@tropicalislandrentals.com he did an amazing job with the booking, his communication and answering of key questions fulfilled and exceed all the expectations and was seamless in making sure it was a stress free experience.

Stunning Beach Views

If are looking a villa right on a beautiful beach on the west coast with stunning sea views then seriously look no further. The villa is well maintained with a gorgeous pool and great privacy for a beach front villa. The gate at end of property takes you straight out on to the beach which is quite quiet (we loved that!) And great for swimming. There are also some great snorkeling areas too. Staff were lovely. We didn't actually use the cook that much as we like going out in the evening but everything she did cook was great. Great time had by all! Thanks very much.
