I did get the initial message from this guest about making multiple trips around to the back gate in the alley. I told her the front gate does not actually have a lock on it and asked if she needed us to come the next day. It sounded like she had not seen all of our detailed instructions so I did re-send those and did not mean to offend by re-sending. My saying the gate does not have a lock on it was interpreted as implying she was lying I guess? The front gate latch is a rudimentary thumb lever. There is no technical lock but the bar and lever lift mechanism can get out of place, which easily sorted out from the inside. In my communications history I was the last person responding to this guest. I do not see any photos she sent with "evidence of the lock". Nobody ignored her. All of her communication was during a late night arrival. We had other guests staying at the adjoining tiny cottage during this same time and they use the same gate so we did assume was was well having not heard from the guests at Tiny Cottage 535 and not hearing further from this woman at Tiny Cottage 537 after her initial frustrated messages about multiple trips to the back. gate. Neither front gate nor back gate has a lock and 3 different guests cottages share the courtyard. We provide 2 phone numbers both of which work.
