Esta casa de campo recién remodelada es ideal para una escapada tranquila. Cuenta con una suite principal grande, con tocador de doble lavabo, bañera / ducha, lavadora / secadora y todos los electrodomésticos nuevos. Con porches delanteros y traseros y una amplia área de descanso, hay mucho espacio para sentarse, disfrutar del paisaje en un entorno de comunidad tranquilo y pacífico. Dos televisores de 40 pulgadas, reproductores de blu ray y WiFi te permiten estar conectado también.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The home was well stocked and the hosts were some of the kindest people, always responsive! We took our boat and kept it at the dock across the street. The hosts allowed us to use their crab pots and we had a delicious feast of sheepshead, shrimp and crab!The setting is beautiful. The views from the dock are stunning, it looks like a little fishing village.We would stay here again in the future.

Beautifully decorated, spacious yet snug-feeling cottage in a quiet, serene setting. Despite the solitude, you are less than 15 minutes from virtually every amenity you could need: shopping, dining, auto fuel and services, etc. This was our second stay and definitely won’t be the last. This Gem is very cozy and clean. Had everything you would need and close to amazing restaurants. The fishing doc was wonderful with our morning coffee or evening fishing. The dolphins visited us almost every day. Short drive to beach as well!

The property's cleanliness was above and beyond. The cottage had all of the amenities that you might need during your stay. The owners are very friendly and easy to get ahold of. Area surrounding the property was very quiet and safe. Would absolutely come back!

Birthday getaway

Second time staying at Hytide, we have enjoyed our stay both times, the cottage is very clean, owners are more than helpful! Highly recommend this place for a vacation getaway!

Incredibly peaceful vacation. My husband and I loved the quaintness and serene cottage and its location !! Sunrise and sunsets from the dock were a daily ritual. The cottage was so well supplied with everything you need when away from home. The hosts were readily available and super kind. Looking forward to going back next year. Oh... fishing was GREAT too !!

We absolutely adored this home and the location. It was so clean and very relaxing. We also loved the fact that we could bring our Yorkie. We will definitely rent this home in the future.

Relaxing getaway

We had a wonderful stay at hytide. It is off the beaten path witch makes it a perfect p!ace to kick back and unwind. We loved Billy's fish market that is just down the street,but I think our favorite thing is that the beach is just a short car ride away. We can't wait to come back.

Perfect Getaway

The property was exactly as listed. It is a quiet area but close enough to the beach. We loved being able to fish and the grassy area was great for our fur babies. The hosts were great to communicate with and very accommodating. We would definitely stay again. .

Vacation Getaway

My husband and I needed to get away and relax. This cottage was all that and more, great location, very clean, close enough to everything you want to do. Beautiful dock with the swinging chair to sit on and watch the sun go down. Best of all we could bring our pup and have a fun vacation! And so many great places to eat, Hytide Cottage we will come back! (And the owners are very nice!)

Peaceful Vacation

We enjoyed being able to have parking space for our boat, a dock and close proximity to two different boat ramps. Sitting on the dock in the evening was beautiful and peaceful. We saw several dolphins. Owners communicated very well and were quick to respond to any questions.

Roomy, comfortable, clean house

We had lots of space for a couple. The house was very clean and we loved the decor. Donna called us the day of to make sure we were all set for check in and was easy to get in touch with over the weekend when we needed help with the AC. The bed was comfortable.

Relaxing getaway

Thank you Chris & Donna! Hytide cottage was an amazing place to get away before the holidays. Quiet, beautiful view of river, close fresh markets, and cottage equipped to make meals. The best part we were able to bring our whole family, including furkids!! Sable, Goldie, & Shaggy were so excited & enjoyed visiting all the surrounding dog parks. We're even found a couple of dog friendly restaurants.

Quaint and Quiet

The owners are very friendly and involved through getting you prepared to visit! The house has amenities such as spices, tupper ware, ziplocks, etc that you never see at a rental. We were perfectly located to everything in foley and GS and two seafood markets in walking distance were a big plus. You must also eat a Tin Top i cannot tell you have wonderful, you must try it for yourself!

Absolutely loved the cottage!!! It was perfect for our little get away. Would highly recommend and hope to return. Owners truly have thought of everything. Just bring clothes and groceries. What a great fishing community! We stayed in one of 8 houses right across from the private pier with plenty of places to fish and crab. This was a first for us, as we usually stay right in Gulf Shores, but we wanted a little more quiet and peaceful setting. The house had everything that we needed. The master bedroom was huge and the bed super comfortable (and we are picky about our mattresses). The provided beach towels and beach bag came in handy. There was lots of storage space. This house was at the end of the row and had a picnic table and fire-pit that we enjoyed.Our favorite part was casting the crab pots (traps) from the pier into the river, and in 2 days we had enough blue crabs to have a feast. We just added spices (Old Bay) & vinegar and steamed them in the 3 provided crab pots. They were delicious! The Tin Top Restaurant was close and fantastic. The people at Aquila's bait shop, just down the road, were so nice and helpful. We highly recommend this as a low-key, quiet stay on the river.

A lifetime Alabama resident, I grew up enjoying the Alabama Gulf Coast and enjoy sharing this beautiful area with others. As a sales professional in the industrial marketplace, I spend a lot of time behind the wheel and have found few places like Bon Secour. Donna has worked as an educator for over 30 years and the peace and quiet of this area is a welcome reprieve to hours in the classroom.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Growing up vacationing on the Alabama Gulf Coast, we discovered this area in the 1960's. My family purchased a cabin in the Bon Secour area in 1985 and have come to treasure the peace and quiet this community affords. Whether its sitting on the pier and watching the dolphins and pelicans at play or walking down to Billy's Seafood for steamed shrimp fresh off of the boat, it is safe to say there is no other place quiet like the Cottages at Bon Secour. While we hope to one day retire to this area, we are now content to share our secret with those who also appreciate this unique riverfront lifestyle.
