Tissington Ford Barn es una conversión de granero de piedra de Grado II, ubicada en el Parque Nacional Peak, cerca de Ashbourne y Bakewell. The Barn está adyacente a un sendero y un arroyo que se une con High Peak, Tissington Trail y se conecta convenientemente a Carsington Water (la famosa Ellen McCarthur aprendió a navegar); Ofreciendo a nuestros huéspedes buenas oportunidades para caminar y andar en bicicleta desde la casa rural.

Hay mucho que hacer, ver y explorar en esta área con algunas de las mejores casas señoriales de Inglaterra para visitar, como: Chatsworth House, famosa por la serie documental y también la muy querida serie de televisión Pride & Prejudice. los fans de Jane Austen amarán la finca y jardines tanto como los niños! También existe la inquietante encantador Haddon Hall a visitar, que es una de las preferidas de la mina, donde Jayne Eyre se proyectó desde y son a la vez un viaje en coche escénica fácil de 25 minutos. Bakewell es una ciudad impresionante Pico Park y todos los lunes tiene un gran mercado ocupado y varias tiendas para explorar. ¡Bakewell todavía está abierto para los negocios los domingos y también te da la oportunidad de pasear por el río Derwent y alimentar a los patos y tal vez darle un bocado al verdadero pudín de Bakewell!

Si su amor es para el mar, incluso en el medio del campo podemos ofrecerle agua Carsington como alternativa. Un marco natural incomparable a un par de millas de distancia se puede hacer la mayoría de los deportes acuáticos o de dar un agradable paseo por la zona. Los parques temáticos están disponibles y el más famoso de la zona es Alton Towers, a solo 30 minutos en coche, y se encuentra en un escenario impresionante. 20 minutos en auto hacia el norte por calles tranquilas lo lleva a Gullivers Kingdom para los miembros más jóvenes del grupo o Las alturas de Abraham explorando las cuevas en Matlock Bath.

Los paseos son infinitas y en función de su capacidad tenemos montañas a las colinas a los valles que rodean el Parque Pico de explorar. Uno de los más famosos paseos suaves es el Dovedales y está a sólo 5 minutos en coche. Visite Alstonefield o Hartington, Ilam y, por supuesto, Tissington para ver algunos de nuestros pueblos locales galardonados en la zona.

El alojamiento incluye:

Beautiful, comfortable cottage.

The cottage certainly lived up to expectations even though the weather did not. We were a party of ten and stayed for a week but had plenty of space and found everything provided to be both plentiful and of a high standard. The owners were pleasant and helpful and we would certainly return.

Our 50th birthday weekend for Shirley in Derbyshire

It was a perfect home for 3 nights for my family. A great base for the 4 and 2 yr old. They loved the brook. Bakewell, Chatsworth, Gt Longstone etc not far way so an excellent location. A very easy place, well equipped and a thank you for returning one forgotten purse SO promptly !

Lovely converted barn with all you require for a short break in the Peak District

Tissington Ford Barn is a great holiday home with ample bedrooms, great size kitchen and lovely family lounge complete with log burner. The barn is very well decorated and equipped - you need only bring yourselves! Lots to do in the area; walks, pubs, shopping and even golf! Welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch. Fantastic for Family and Friends Reunion

We were visiting from the USA and needed a base with six bedrooms so that we could invite family and friends to visit us. Tissington Ford Barn was a superb property for this purpose. Very well appointed and furnished. Everything worked as expected and the owners were very attentive and available. We used the change of linen servise twice which was done very effieciently. We thouroughly recommend this property.

Had an amazing stay with my friends and family to celebrate my hen do, it was the best weekend! The property was gorgeous and the owners were so lovely. amazing post Christmas break

had an amazing stay at the Barn with family and friends. The space was amazing, decor and feel superb and the communication and help from Sophie was fantastic. We always have a pre Christmas break with our family and friends from Manchester. This is by far the best house we have stayed in and 7 days went far to fast. would highly recommend the barn and will be back ourselves.

A wonderful home away from home

Fantastic barn

Tissington Ford barn is beautiful. The accommodation itself is perfect for larger groups. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need & the welcome hamper is fabulous. There are great walks on the doorstep (with pubs on the way!)so you dont need to drive anywhere if you dont want to. All in all an outstanding property in a great location.

A warm welcome from Tissington Ford Barn

What a wonderful first impression of Tissington Form Barn we had. Everything from the generous luxury hamper as we walked through the door, beautiful decor, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and the attention to detail at every turn. Our group of 8 friends and daughters have definitely found our second home to meet up annually. The private picnic area was such a privilege , the weather was beautiful and a perfect afternoon to enjoy the delights from the hamper washed down with prosecco . Sandy has thought of everything and the hot tub is just the icing on the cake.

Very comfortable and clean. Near a quiet (ish) road, but the orientation of the barns means it is quiet and private, even when sitting outside. Fantastic location for outdoor activities and sight seeing.

Excellent property in a great location!

We had a fantastic stay at Tissington Ford Barn to celebrate our Dad's 60th birthday as a family. The property is excellently furnished, very comfortable and easily accommodated the whole family (Adults and little ones). The location is great and very picturesque. There are plenty of shops, villages and attractions within a short drive of the barn, so we were never without supplies or something to do. Communication with us was excellent and made us feel very welcome for the duration of our stay. Thank you!

Large but cosy house, in a fantastic location, with hosts who commmunicate fantastically

We stayed at Tissington Ford Barn for 3 nights. Before arrival, communication with Sandra and Sophie had been great. They answered all my queries and offered no end of knowledge on things to do, etc. On arrival, we were greeted with a lovely welcome pack (thank you!). The house was immaculately presented and well equipped for all our needs over the long weekend. The barn is very big, but still felt very cosy. The sofas are super comfy and the table in the kitchen makes the space a very sociable area to be with your friends/family. You don't get any signal in the house, and so WhatsApp/FB message was used a lot to communicate with anyone (using the barn WiFi). However, the WiFi doesn't reach the annex and so you can't communicate via phone once you are in there. We hired a hot tub and it was delivered the day before we arrived and so it was hot when we got there. Absolutely perfect! Only three very little things to mention - There was no coal for the bbq (it didn't matter because we had bought some with us, but if we hadn't....) The bbq was filthy and the handle on it broken All bathrooms had ran out of toilet rolls by the Sunday morning (and we weren't leaving until Monday morning!) Thank you for having us! We will 100% be returning and also recommending to our friends and family

I grew up in London and relocated with work to Derbyshire. It was after exploring the area that I realised I would never return to city life - the fresh air and freedom of the countryside and hills made me feel alive. I have now been lucky to live in the area for 30 years and in this time I have married and have three wonderful children who have grown up in this glorious part of England!
Our favourite places to walk from Tissington Ford Barn is the Dovedales and Ilam Estate, Tissington, Alstonefield and Mildale, Carsington and the Chatsworth Estate. If you like to venture a bit further then north of Bakewell is some outstanding walks and views. Monsal Head near Ashford On The Water, Curbar and Frogatt Edge, Stanedge Edge near,Hathersage and Kinder Scout are some of the ones which stand out if you are a keen walker. There is also Buxton Town which is another lovely day out with outstanding walks on the North side.

Tissington Ford Barn is close to two enchanting market towns, Ashbourne and Bakewell and the best stately houses in the UK - Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. If this is not all, Alton Towers, Heights of Abraham, Gullivers Kingdom Theme Parks are all approximately 25 minutes drive away from the Holiday Accommodation. The charming stone barn is in a secluded corner set in its own detached grounds with fabulous views of the Peak District. It really offers you a place to relax and enjoy walks and cycle paths from your door. Venture a little further to Tissington Village a mile away where you will go back in time to the enchanting Hall, church, duck pond and little stone cottages.
There is so many places to visit here in Derbyshire and the area offers the finest stately homes such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Sudbury Hall. Alton Towers Theme Park is only a 30 minute drive away as well as Gullivers Kingdom and The Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath. The pretty market towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne are in easy access as well as Carsington Water and the Dovedales, Ilam only a couple of miles away. Whatever you do during your day, you know that you will be able to relax back at the Barn and enjoy the fine views. There is also an additional picnic area located by a steam a few minutes walk from the property to relax and take in the natural setting with a glass of wine or a morning coffee and newspaper.
