La casa de los erizos de mar fue construida en 2016 con una excelente especificación. En la planta baja hay un porche y gran hall de entrada con aseo / wc, que conduce a un generoso salón de planta abierta / comedor / cocina. Las puertas dobles del patio conducen al jardín con los asientos al aire libre y la opinión del mar. Arriba hay dos dormitorios. El maestro tiene una cama king-size, un balcón con increíbles vistas al mar, y baño privado. El segundo dormitorio se puede componer como dos camas individuales o una cama de matrimonio con un baño grande con ducha. Proporcionamos una cama adicional del campo (preferiblemente para los niños solamente) con la ropa de cama, que cabe en cualquier dormitorio dependiendo de su preferencia. También hay una cuna de viaje para un bebé si es necesario. En el exterior hay una zona de césped y estacionamiento para dos coches.

Sea Urchins Cottage está situado en el desarrollo de la bahía, un parque de vacaciones galardonado en la costa de Yorkshire, con acceso privado a la playa. La bahía es una base ideal para aquellos que disfrutan de deportes o actividades al aire libre - tendrá acceso gratuito a la gran piscina cubierta climatizada, piscina para niños pequeños, sauna / sala de vapor y gimnasio. También hay un pequeño parque infantil, cancha de fútbol y pistas de petanca. Otras actividades están disponibles en el sitio por un pequeño cargo - tiro con arco, esgrima, tratamientos de belleza / masajes, tenis de mesa, tenis, putting green, aqua-aeróbic y otras actividades de la piscina. El sitio tiene un lago de pesca, prados salvajes y estanques para los amantes de la naturaleza. La bahía también ofrece bicicletas de alquiler, y otras actividades de temporada (por ejemplo, kayak en el lago).

En el lugar también hay una casa pública, cafetería / restaurante, farmacia (que vende algunos alimentos básicos) y un nuevo Centro de entretenimiento familiar (entretenimientos).

Desde la bahía, se puede caminar a lo largo de la playa a Filey. Usted también está a sólo un corto trayecto en coche de Bridlington, Flamborough, Bempton Cliffs, y Scarborough. Un poco más lejos están Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, York y North Yorks Moors.

Short notice Christmas break

Booked on Christmas Eve and the assistance and customer service from Filey Bay Direct (Paula) was fantastic. The cottage is one we have used before and it could never disappoint. The comfort and cleanliness are exemplary and the location ideal for a short walk onto the beach path. There is everything you could wish for within and around Sea Urchins to enjoy a stay at Filey Bay.

Lovely detached cottage

Quiet location, very close to the beach path. Very clean, well equipped. Beautiful en-suite bathroom and shower room. Comfortable mattress and great sea views from the main bedroom. Fourth time we have been to The Bay, this was the best cottage we have stayed in. Great customer service from the moment we arrived. Thank you for a much needed holiday after a very close family bereavement.

Amazing, sunny October break

A lovely cosy cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable sofas and beds. We chose sea urchins because it had two ensuite bathrooms and a TV in each bedroom. And most importantly it was close to the beach and walks for the dogs. It even had a sea view. We all had an amazing stay and would go back again. Very dog friendly.

A wonderful stay at Sea Urchins

Just returned after our first stay at sea urchins cottage. We couldn’t recommend this highly enough. It is in a great position close to the main facilities but also near the beach path and sea views. The cottage was super clean and the beds and chairs were extremely comfortable. Everything you could think of in the kitchen for cooking and eating. Lots of little touches which make all the difference. We shall certainly be back again.

Vey nice cottage in a great location

This is a lovely property, excellent condition through out and high spec of furnishings, towels, bedding, kitchen appliances etc. Very well presented and thoughtfully designed - a real home from home. Location is excellent too just a five minute walk to the beach, we really like The Bay as well as not stayed there before. Will definitely look to re book this property.

Great location with everything you need

The cottage is a great space in a brilliant location. Well stocked with everything you need. Paula is great! The only disappointment was that the fantastic balcony wasn’t clean and could benefit from updated outdoor furniture. We would also have benefited from a property that doesn’t welcome dogs

Absolutely stunning property Very clean and tidy, has everything you need and more for a cosy relaxing stay. Location on the bay is perfect. The walk in shower is an added bonus, didn't want to get out.. Will definitely book again in the summer to make most of the balcony from main bedroom

Lovely place to stay

This cottage is ideally placed only a short distance from the amenities on site and the beach walk. The cottage was very comfortable and had all you could need during a break near the seaside. We have used The Bay a number of times and this cottage was the best so far.

Sea Urchins Cottage is a lovely house set in a lovely complex

What an excellent modern, clean house with all the mod cons you would need to make any length of stay a good one. Good Wi-Fi, excellent TV. The decor throughout is lovely and the bathrooms are superb. The location is great and only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The bay is a lovely quiet place and we will be back.

This cottage is the best one we have stopped in at the Bay , The only gripe was getting into the key safe when it was dark , it took over 20 mins to get it opened .

Absolutely loved it !

We loved this cottage, everything we needed for a home away break was in the cottage. Location was fabulous for the beach and the local pub on site and the log fire was the perfect ambiance in the evening (fluffy socks & cosy toes). Loved the balcony in the master bedroom, open the blinds to a sea view with a nice cuppa. We will most definitely book this cottage again

We are Paula and Tim Foster. We live in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

We have 3 school age children, and love visiting Filey - the children love it too and have their favourite shops, cafes, and ice-cream stalls, as do we!

We regularly visit "the Bay" - staying in our first holiday home (Sea Urchins beach house ref 8162520) which we have owned since March 2014. We've owned the Cottage since September 2016, and I (Paula) now manage both properties.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We love visiting the Bay - staying in our first holiday home (Sea Urchins beach house ref 8162520) every couple of months. On one visit, we found out they were building some homes with balconies and sea views, and we just had to have one as its always been a dream to have a view of the sea and Filey in the distance!

We were first introduced to the resort of Filey around 9 years ago and we have holidayed there nearly every year since.

The beach is excellent - clean, sandy and not too crowded. We have spent many happy days building sandcastles, paddling in the sea and playing beach cricket. The town of Filey has a variety of small shops and cafés, and glen gardens park is excellent for children. We like the fact you can walk easily from one end of Filey to the other, down to the harbour to watch the fishing boats and play in the arcades, or up into the country park to get some great views.

We have our favourite places to visit - Sewerby Hall (with a small zoo), Bempton cliffs RSPB, Flamborough, Scarborough and Whitby (including the steam railway to Pickering). All within a short drive.

We now stay at either property when we visit, and make them available to others when we are not there.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Cottage has the benefit of both bedrooms being ensuite for extra privacy, and the second bedroom can be made up for children or adults as it has a zip and link bed. As we are a family of 5, we have a further camp bed, as we appreciate the difficulties in finding holidays when you are not a family of 4!

The master bedroom has a full width balcony with seating to take in the sea view to the front and side.

The downstairs is open plan, great for family time, and the kitchen has all the mod-cons (dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave etc).

The Cottage is also very close (one of the closest) to the path down to the beach, making it really easy to explore the beach. It is also only a few minutes walk to the resort centre where there is a pool, pub and cafe. There are no passing cars (apart from those staying at the final few properties before the beach road) which makes it quiet in terms of road traffic, but you can sit and watch people passing on their walk to the beach.
