Great facility and beach location

Great facility and beach tents chairs were great. Be out there at 6:30 with a towel to claim your tent(umbrella).

Still a great location but the beach rules need reviewing!

Reviewer Comments: This was our second visit from the UK and still love the location, but the large groups on the beach with no restriction on music volume led to a group of drunks playing loud music all day. There were 3 weddings whilst we were there and maybe this is what is behind the 'party atmosphere'. Our previous visit was quiet and idyllic, so now would question whether to return.The apartment was spotless and well fitted out, but the kitchen and bathrooms are looking a little 'tired'.

I saw pictures before I rented and it was stated as #2 premium. It is in definite need of an upgrade. Friends of ours were also in a premium room, but it was totally updated. I asked the staff and they said there was just 5 or 6 standard rooms and maybe our friends room had not been re-classified yet. I just know we payed the same amount for our rooms.

We were not a fan of the long and winding walk to the room outside the building. It was scary after dark with all the hiding places along the way. Beautiful views. Hot afternoon sun on the patio. The staff was very nice and helpful. Lots of nearby restaurants but be prepared, the prices are HIGH but the food is good. We enjoyed the McGuires Irish Pub the most. The pool was beautiful and well maintained.

Cons:Needs new mattresses, you have to take your own garbage out which is in the parking lot and a long way from your room, could only get 1 of the 3 TVs to work..I didn't ask for help but I think in this day the TVs should just be smart TVs and drop the cable. Overall I would recommend to stay here but just be prepared to walk alot to get anywhere.

Beautiful, well maintained property - outdated room

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Last year in 2023 we booked an impromptu 5 night vacation in room 422 and was first introduced to Holiday Surf and Racquet club. We fell in love with the property and had a wonderful vacation. This year, we booked another 5 nights and chose 523. The condo was super clean as to be expected, but was very outdated. Cosmetics was not as much of a bother as the condition of the kitchenware. The pots and pans were all scratched and dented and we were afraid to even use them but had no choice. One of the showers had super low water pressure. Was overall surprised at condition of the unit for as premium of a property as it is. Still enjoyed our stay and love the property but will be more selective on the unit for our next trip.

Complex was great, unit 523 was outdated & needs improvement!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked another unit & were forced to switch to another with under 30 days to check in due to unit sale. The photos are not very representative of actual unit. Housekeeping did a nice job with cleaning the damaged & old unit. Carpets were already showing some wear & tear. Painting needs to be completed. Entire unit #523 needs updating & basic needs were missing from kitchen (cutting board, sheet pan, scrub sponges). All kitchen pots & pans were old & damaged. The HSRC property management team (Brittany, Vicki & Michelle) stepped in & provided some new basic necessities for the kitchen. Unit has stained & broken furniture, very old decor, & lacks many cooking needs for folks that travel in to a beach town. Positives - Spectacular view, location & safety. I do not hold VRBO or HSRC responsible for these issues, but the owner of this property needs so help. Thank you!

Had to purchase a few things to leave for the next guest. Cookie sheet and a vegetable peeler. I have been staying with Holiday Surf for close to 20 years. And will return soon. But i think i will check with VRBO. The private owners give a much better ambiance. 524 is where i was back in April it was awsome.

Perfect location

We enjoyed our stay! Perfect room, perfect view! Only complaints, the king bed is hard. They also say beach chairs can’t be reserved until 9 am, but people are down at the beach claiming chairs at 7:30.

The view was great and it has super easy beach access. We had a water leak while we were there so the water had to be turned off for a few hours at one point, but the property kept us completely updated so we could schedule accordingly. Overall, we loved Holiday Surf Unit 523 and we will be back!

The condo has a great view. It’s located close to the stairs so we were a few steps from our vehicle. Since we stayed during the winter, we spent more time in the room than usual. Loved having multiple TVs and WiFi access. The beach was great. Temps were in high 60s and low 70s. Beach was not crowded and we even swam a little in the ocean. Also, the pool is heated. We’ve stayed there 3 times. Going back next year!

Great stay!

We arrived and check in was very easy. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The grounds were clean. There is only one elevator but we never had to wait more than a minute or two. Great place and would definitely stay here again.
