Had an awesome week stay

The room was perfect. Had an awesome view. And the grounds were amazing. Tiki bar was a plus. Kids enjoyed being close to the beach and pool.

Great Stay in Unit 110

We loved the condo and overall were very happy with our stay. There were a few cosmetic things like a missing towel bar in one bathroom, and some loose fixtures. The location of the condo was perfect and we had a great view of pool and beach! Would recommend to a friend!

Good location

There was one coin operated washer and dryer on the floor we stayed on but was advertised as if in condo. No chairs or umbrella included but the elevators were very fast. Loved the view from the balcony.

Great location to beach and alot of activities

The place had a great view to the beach and close to alot of other activities. The check in process was not real clear as we were not sure about the app (thought that was just extra), didn't realize we had to go through app to check in and out. Maybe that should be explained better. Also, the place was very nice but could use a little updating. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back in the future (hopefully bringing our kids the next time).

The best view!

We had a great experience at the pelican beach! Our balcony over looked the gulf and you could see dolphins swim by at least 2 times a day! To respond to reviews that almost didnt make me pick this condo, yes its a bit dated but how often are you really in the condo when there are 3 pools, beach, and countless activities in the area! The garbage chute accross the hall can be a bit loud but we had a sound machine and could hardly hear it! Overall would recommend this condo. We also booked some of the free experiences that came with staying here which included golf and a sunset dolphin cruise!

Not really worth the price and out dated

Beautiful view of the Gulf from the Balcony. However, there was no patio furniture on the balcony. Check in process was delayed because I was not given the unit number. Kitchen was good with basic utensils needed. There was a musty smell through out the unit. Alot of construction being done. Lots of traffic in the area, do not attempt to go to Okaloosa Island between 5-7 pm. Served our purpose for a place on the beach but would not stay here again.

Property needs updates from the "tired" decor with a good spring cleaning. The added cost of administrative fees and cleaning, I would have expected an emaculate condo, as I have rented in the past. The webpage is confusing and somewhat deceptive as room cost is only a fraction of what was charged. I do not believe I will use your site again or at least work to find a condo with lower fees.

Check in was efficient and convenient. The property amenitites are awesome; pools, tiki bar, beach service, location. The room was super clean but the unit is in need of repairs. Just normal wear and tear items that appear to have not been addressed for awhile. Electrical outlets throughout the unit do not hold a plug; both bathrooms, the master bedroom wall plugs, and the main living area plugs. I had to blow dry, curl and iron my clothes in the kitchen. The light in the hallway is out and the refrigerator ice maker is not operable. We only stayed 3 days so it was managable. However, if these items were addressed, I would have rated the unit a 5 star. The owners need to stay in their unit to learn about a guest experience.

The room is directly across from the trash shoot, I understand that can’t be prevented but It’s bad!

When people are throwing away trash and yelling right outside my window all day long, it’s irritating. Also, i believe that there’s an additional shoot above our room. We were there for 3 days and all 3 days you could hear noise coming from the shoot above the room and outside our room window. Wow! Also, we couldn’t get the tv in the living room to work at all. For almost $400 a day, I would expect a little better service. The toilet paper sucks so glad that I brought my own. There was a flood warning and tornado when we were checking out and they wouldn’t do a late check out, only offered us the lobby. Check in isn’t until 4:00, they wouldn’t let us stay another hour to stay out of the storm? Wow! The indoor pool was good but there was only 12 plastic chairs. Families of 4 came In and took all of the chairs. We had to sit our stuff on the ground. Also, the arcade games don’t work but they will take your quarters! Overall I will give it a 2.5/5 stars bc they were available, we could watch the dolphins right from our beach front balcony and they had a lot to do on site. The rates were not horrible and the place was very clean!

Nice location but dirty

We stayed at the Pelican Beach resort which was nice. This condo was handled by Panhandle Getaways which I do not recommend. Upon arrival the place was filthy. There was cheese stuck in the microwave, something had spilled in the refrigerator and was not cleaned, the floors were dirty, and the bathroom had toothpaste splattered all over the shower. I called them and they said they could not come and do a total clean during our stay. I demanded something be done about it so they said they would send the property manager but due to COVID we could not be there. She came but only cleaned the spill in the fridge, nothing else. For the amount of money we paid I expect at least a clean place to stay and someone to take care of it if it isn't. All I got was an apology saying I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. If you are staying at the Pelican Beach resort book directly through them. The resort is nice but this condo was dirty and really needs updated.

Terrible experience

They did not send code to get in and could not get ahold of anyone for hours and hours. It was very stressful and property was very old and dated and handle broken on drive - ceiling fan almost fell on us - patio chairs were awful. View was only positive thing - sorry but true

Stay was nice but condo needs some attention.

Our stay was nice but the condo needed some assistance. 1) very large roach in den on 1st night 2) globe on den ceiling fan was loose and vibrated with fan on 3) mold in sev places along caulking 4) master bedroom fan vibrated loudly. 5) ** bunk bed mattresses are pitiful! Absolutely pitiful! Other than that, stay was fine.

It’s okay.. over priced and needs updating, but we overall we enjoyed our stay.

Check in was very easy and on time. When we walked in the place wasn’t very clean, there was sand all over the balcony, floors and furniture. There were also brown splatters all over the curtains. The listing made it seem like there was a washer and dryer in the room, instead you had to use the one in the hallways just to wash the ,lack there of, towels. The place needs general updating, the floor under the sink is rotting, the mattress was VERY hard and uncomfortable, the pots and pans are falling apart, and the top bunk had the underneath torn up. The beach was very crowded due to multiple condos using an allotted space. But In the end we did have a good stay! The view was great and the resort was full of fun things to do for the kids!

Visit to Pelican Bay in Destin Fla

My wife and I had heard such wonderful things about the Destin beaches that we had to check them out for ourselves. The beaches are remarkable to look at. From the tenth floor balcony they are wonderful but walking on them is a bit of a challenge unless you are remarkably fit, and we aren't. And we enjoy sitting around the pool. Not a good choice either. Absolutely no shaded areas or umbrellas by the pool. The room was nice but rather outdated. It was clean enough but could really use a sprucing up. From our balcony the view of the gulf was extraordinary. The area around our hotel was much like the Wisconsin Dells. Very touristy. Lots of miniature golf, etc. Not much in the way of shopping. We enjoyed several local restaurants because we like the appeal of outdoor dining on the water.

First time in Destin

Our trip could not have been more wonderful. The view from our balcony was fabulous. The room was clean and exactly as advertised. The beach was wonderful. The umbrella and chair rentals were convenient and easy to use. The gentleman renting them was very kind. The Tiki bar was a fun plus for getting Dr. Pepper!! And we enjoyed the little gift shop. We are already hopeful and planning to return to Pelican Beach resort.

Only Fair

Let me say the only positive thing that I have to say about this unit is: that it is beach front and the AC unit works great! The absolute worst part is that the king bedroom is in the very front of the unit, which makes the trash shoot RIGHT OUTSIDE THE BEDROOM WINDOW! People cannot read the sign that says don't use between 11pm and 6am. Awakened EVERY morning. This unit is very outdated. The baseboards have holes in them. Everything worked in the unit, but extremely outdated. The patio had only 2 chairs and they were very uncomfortable. If you want beach front, this is the spot. The bunk beds in the hallway are definitely for only small children. Not for kids over 10-12 years old. Overpriced!

I know it's been a long time and a lot has changed, but you will be delighted to know that all of the items you mentioned were remedied and this property is in perfect condition :)
