Great location - nice place to stay

Great property location and ocean views and amenities. Nicely stocked with all items needed for our 5 day stay. A little worn (doors/baseboards etc could use a coat of paint to freshen it up) but everything in good working order.

Great property!

This was our first visit to Destin and first time using VRBO to stay at a rental property. The condo was exactly as described with many amenities, great atmosphere, and very clean. It was just a short driving or walking distance to many other local businesses too. Staying here made our trip very enjoyable and we would definitely stay here again!

Great stay

Our stay at Pelican Beach was great. Location was perfect and close to everything. The beach access and pool were easy to get to. No issues with our umbrella and chair rental. I recommend booking that once you book your stay that way you get good location and views. Overall cleanliness of the rooms were great and accommodating for our family of 3. Balcony view was great as you could see dolphins, sting rays and fish from it. The free round of golf was great too.

Beautiful view! Can't beat it! We stayed with 5 (3 kids, 2 adults) It was enough space for sleeping, maybe a bit tight when we were all 5 awake. The unit is on the 6th floor which makes the stairs not a huge deal if the elevators are busy (we stayed in a busy season and oftentimes the elevators were very crowded). Check-in/out is easy! The Pelican requires you to pay to reserve chairs/umbrellas or you cannot set-up your beach stuff unless your behind several rows of chairs. That wasn't ideal and very expensive, but that is a pelican issue not the hosts. Overall, great space for a beach vacation!

Good, but could be better

2 of the four elevators in a 20 story building not working created unnecessary problems on a regular basis. Check in was a free for all with too few staff, too few parking spots for unloading cars, and too few luggage carts too carry bags to condos. Overall property was fine, but many frustrated people trying to start their vacation.

Fall on the coast

The condo was just as I expected, property management was very helpful & responsive but Pelican Beach Resort has entirely too many rules! We stayed here 28 yrs ago in the summer and the property has been renovated and was very clean. If you don't rent umbrellas and chairs then you must sit in the back with no view of the water and only if you have small children can you sit by the water in your own chair. We have a CoolCabana and were told we couldn't use it because it's too much like a tent even though it's more like an umbrella. Needless to say we will not be staying at this property again.

Perfect relaxing beach getaway at a really nice property.

This condo was exactly as. It was described and pictured. We really loved the property too with the three pools and hot tubs, cafe, tiki bar hut, and beautiful beach. The elevators all worked properly and were not slow as some can be. It had two coffee pots which were perfect for us. (My husband is regular coffee pot guy and I’m a Keurig girl. It was the best of both worlds. The condo decor was very light and beachy. The only thing I didn’t like (and it was my fault for not noticing in the pictures) was that the balcony furniture was not tall balcony furniture which made it hard to see out on the beach and ocean unobstructed. The railing was right at eye level. I have never stayed at one that didn’t have the tall chairs and table to have a clear view unobstructed. It was a nice beach vacation and would stay on this property again.

Great location and condo

The condo was great. It was like staying in a resort hotel with beach service. We had a relaxing and fun family vacation. The location had the best access to the beach and was close to all of the shops and restaurants we love to go to!

Our condo was great, unit 608

My only complaints would be about the complex. No washer and dryer in each condo. You can’t sit in front of the blue chairs on the beach. I still would stay here again.

Beautiful condo & view!

We really enjoyed our stay at this Condo! The view from the balcony was awesome. We had coffee there every morning! The only down side ,which may prevent us form staying here again, is the resort took over the beach with their chairs & umbrellas. 1/4 of the chairs were never used but it prevented us, who didn't want to pay $35 a day to sit by the ocean. (And they were sold out for the week),We only could sit behind ALL their umbrella"s
