La casa de vacaciones Spence Villa se encuentra en una comunidad cerrada llamada Little Bay Country Club, cerca de Norman Manley Road. El encantador, tranquilo,
Barrio colorido está equipado con seguridad las 24 horas. Beautiful Community- Had a Blast!

Really enjoyed staying at Spence Villa. The gated community is lovely. The security guards make you feel very safe. They're also very friendly and helpful. We did not experience any problems. We met the owner and the care taker who were very friendly, helpful and answered any questions we had. The private beach and pool were the best part. What an amazing view and a great area for snorkelling. Would definitely stay here again!

Owners use cameras to check on guests!

There are two cameras outside the house and the owners of the property send us messages and questions based on what they see on the cameras. For example about the vehicles or asking us when we leave! And they live in Canada... Or why the same car appears again... They say it is for security reasons but thats no I would never ever go back to this house!excuse at all!

My husband said he has never been so relaxed! A piece of heaven! The beach was great , snorkeling was excellent . 10 dollar taxi ride to seven mile beach area for dinners, shopping an nightlife. The house is clean , modern and update.the bed was comfy. Cosmo I believe was our favorite dinner spot,of course you need a jerk chicken to go home with, and my husband loved Best in West. Spent 12 nights and didn't want to leave, I know I will be back, if they would have me. Stopped at mo bay for food at mega mart,just bought breakfast and lunch items. Brought all kinds of snacks in suitcase. Dinner out each night, negril people are wonderful, love talking to the old timers for hours.

Rest & Relaxation & A little Adventure

My two teenage children and I enjoyed Spence Villa, in the Little Bay Country Club Community. We stayed for two weeks. We felt safe with the security presence. Neighbors were friendly. We loved the pool and I especially loved the private beach. Cabana chairs and tables available, no life guard. The home was comfortable and clean. The villa has cable T.V (on the lower level only) and Wifi. The bedrooms have air conditioning. The pictures posted show you what to expect. The caretaker was friendly and available (if we needed her). The owner dropped in to introduce himself. Great suggestion made for transportation (Joe Cool) to and from the airport by the coordinator, thank you. We also visited a few attractions using the private driver suggested-Keith (friendly-negotiable daily rate). There are flyers and a notebook on the table to give you suggestions on things to do. I even took the taxi bus to the gas station for $200 Jamaican dollars ($2.00 USD). I picked it up right outside the security gate of the community. We found that using a map helps a lot, you can download one from the Time Square Negril website by selecting maps. On this map web link, the villa is beside the Riu Club. If you can print it off ahead of time to familiarize yourself with the area (you can only go north and south in Negril speed limit is 40-50 km). From the Villa to Ricks Cafe is roughly 30 minutes drive. To get to Time Square (shopping) less than 15 minutes drive. We picked up groceries at the HiLo grocery store (downtown negril). We ate out a lot for dinner. We went to Three Dives (local food), Cosmos (local food/closest*), Alfred's and Xtabia (pub food/ burger & fries). One night we had the caretaker prepare a shrimp meal for us and it was very tasty. We had a great time. We look forward to staying here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We spent 6 weeks in this condo; a working washer and dryer is essential for this long of a stay. 2 days prior to our arrival, we were informed the dryer wasn't working but would be fixed upon the owner's arrival Feb. 8th. Once he arrived, we were told a dryer wasn't available so we had to hang our clothes outside, causing a huge inconvenience. The owner suggested we use a public laundromat but we did not feel safe in doing so, nor did we want to spend our time sitting inside of one, taking time away from our vacation. The mattress in the 2nd bedroom sags on both sides and there is a hump in the middle. We addressed this with the owner who promised a replacement, but one never arrived during our 6 week stay. When we arrived, the shower in the main bathroom was not operational nor was the TV remotes and ceiling fans. After several visits by maintenance, the shower and fans were fixed but we had to wait 2 weeks before getting replacement remotes, causing frustration when wanting to watch tv. The back porch light did not work causing a safety issue. The owner, who was well aware of this, finally had the light fixed after our 4th week stay. Other problems with the condo include a loose faucet in the powder room, main shower heavily stained with mold, shower hose had hole in it, shower heads clogged, toilet in master bathroom leaks, screen door in master bedroom off the track and no screen in the front door. Although we were in constant communication with the owner regarding these problems, there was always an excuse as to why these issues could not be addressed. The maintenance on this condo has been neglected and we do not recommend anyone staying here.

The Best of Both Worlds!

Our family stayed at Spence Villa for one week and really enjoyed our stay. We only wish we could have stayed for longer. We really loved the quiet and privacy of Little Bay Country Club. Since we visited during low tourist season, we had the pool and beach all to ourselves all week! It was really great having a really nice beach that is truly private, with very good snorkelling right from the shore, with a huge warm infinity pool, a short drive away from so many good restaurants and bars along Seven Mile Beach. We loved having the choice between the action of Long Bay and the cliffs, and the peace and quiet of the country club. In my experience, there really isn't anywhere else like that in Negril. The villa itself was cozy and clean, and the kitchen was nice, new and well equipped. Both bedrooms have nice big beds, ac, and balconies. The big screen with cable in the living room was great for the evenings. Perfect for our family of four. The grounds of the country club are big and well maintained, with really good sunsets from one side of the property. Nice for an evening stroll. We were picked up at Sangster by Joe Cool taxi service as recommended, they were very nice and efficient. Our driver, (Mervin) was great. He also took us to Mega Mart in Montego on the way and helped us shop. I highly recommend their service. Upon arrival we were greeted by Karen, who gave us the keys, showed us around and how a few things work. As mentioned in previous reviews, you should pay attention. The doors and windows work a little differently than most people would be used to, but easy once you get the hang of it. The starter package of breakfast food was a nice touch, thanks. We made our own breakfast and lunch, and took taxi rides (John) into town for dinner. We visited Hammond's Bakery for beef patties(very good), Best In The West for jerk chicken and pork, (which really is the best in my opinion) and had dinner at Ciao Italian restaurant. Ciao had excellent food, and a free shuttle to and from the cliffs which saves you a fair bit of money. We also visited The Boardwalk Village for some fun, food and drinks on Long Bay during the daytime. We spent an afternoon at Kool Runnings Waterpark which was a total blast, and spent an evening at Rick's Café for cliff jumping, live music, and sunset. Also great. We definitely had a great time at Spence Villa, and would love to return soon. Thank you Cal, Dahlia, and Samantha for sharing your vacation home with us!

Perfect relaxation vacation

If you would like a relaxing vacation, a semi-private beach on a beautiful little bay that often feels like your own little piece of paradise, nice swimming area and easily accessible great snorkeling, no crowds, choice of beautiful pool or nice sandy beach -- complete with some shade trees -- and a roomy, clean, comfortable, well-equipped, relatively new townhouse just a 2-minute walk from the pool and beach -- in a safe and secure gated community -- then this place is for you. If you are looking for a fancy all-inclusive resort with a lot of night life, this is not the place for you. If you like to get away from the crowds and relax on your own little beach, this is for you. You can always go to 7-mile beach some day if you want to, but we were content at Little Bay. Negril is a short (5-6 miles) taxi ride away. You can hail a local taxi by the road near the gate for just about $2/person one-way. By the way, you can use US dollars just about everywhere in Jamaica. No need to convert a lot of money into Jamaican currency. When we arrived, we discovered -- to our dismay -- the coffeemaker was broken and would not be replaced until the week following our departure. And there is no coffee shop nearby. We let Cal and Samantha know this was unacceptable. We did make our coffee the next morning the old-fashioned way boiling water on the stove. But that day Cal brought over a new coffeemaker (ahead of schedule) -- plus a bag of Blue Mountain coffee beans. Thank you , Cal! One night Andrea, the manager and housekeeper, cooked us a delicious fresh fish dinner at our place. I recommend if you don't want to cook for yourself or go out every night. We did our own breakfasts and lunches and went out the other evenings. Most romantic evening: Samantha made reservations for us at Ivan's on the West End. Such a lovely place with an incredible view of the ocean, cliffs, and setting sun. And good food at a reasonable price for such a romantic place. Plus they pick you up (free) and return you (charge). For a different experience, we liked "Best of the West" for Jamaican jerk chicken or fish or shrimp (or lobster). I also highly recommend Joe Cool taxi service to and from the airport. Safe, personable, and they will stop for groceries (and help you shop) on your way to the townhouse. $120 round trip -- and worth it. My wife and I would return here -- and hope to do so some day. Very nice just like the photos!

We had a really nice time in Negril! Little Bay is one of the first private homes before you get into town. We were very pleased with our home for the 6 nights we stayed. We had a rent a car so it was very easy for us to get around. My husband is a morning person and walked to the resorts every day along the 7 mile beach. The security guards were so nice and friendly. We did not have a beach view from the house, but definitely loved our stay here. The house was great! everything you needed there to cook and have family meals. It would have been great itf there was an outside BBQ.. But that ok I enjoyed cooking in the beautful kitchen. The pool is great and we enjoyed snorjking all around the private beach. We had a lovely time!

Perfect charming place to be................

Our stay at Little Bay Country Club was just heaven. The location was perfect if you want to be at a quiet place, yet you are so close by to all the other activities as well all along the 7 mile beach. The charming 2 bedroom was just perfect and could not asked for anything better being at Negril. The private beach area was just heaven. We had the whole pool house and beach area all to ourselves. It was incredible. The instructions on how to handle the doors, remotes to fans, AC and TV was all in the instruction book. It took some doing, but overall, it all worked out great. We want to come back again. I loved it so much. Thank you for having us.

Schönste Stelle auf Jamaika

Während unserer Rundreise war in der Ferienwohnungsanlage mit großem Pool und Privatstrand das der schönste, sauberster und leisester Ort. Wir hätten dort 14 Tage bleiben sollen statt 1 Woche. Wir waren von dem abwechslungsreiche Korallenriff sehr begeistert. Die Karibiksonnenuntergänge waren ein Traum. Schade, daß die Jamaikaner noch nicht erkannt haben, daß die Strände sauber gehalten müssen, damit die Touristen wiederkommen.

Very Nice Stay for a Family of 4

This was our 5th visit to Negril, and our stay at Spence Villa was satisfactory for our family. We rented a car in Mobay and drove to Negril (about 1.5 hours realistically). I feel you need a car at Little Bay Country Club as the location is a little far from downtown Negril and 7-mile beach. Plus, we like to drive around and explore the beautiful island and all it has to offer. The villa is modern and well-equipped. The gated community is safe and nicely kept up. The beach and pool area is beautiful, with good snorkeling right off shore. The private beach can be very quiet, so when we wanted some action we would drive to 7-mile, no problem. All the staff we met were super friendly and helpful. Mr. Spence and his staff were great at making sure we were happy with everything. The wifi worked OK, but there were times it was down, no problem. We didn't go to Jamaica to surf the internet! I wish the landline phone allowed outgoing local calls because it would have made things a little easier as we had difficulty with our cell service. The A/C in the upstairs bedrooms was great as it gets Hot up there. The kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. The starter groceries were a nice touch! A word of advice: when Mr. Spence's caretaker shows you around the house, please pay attention! Especially on how to properly lock the doors, because it is a little tricky at first. The biggest issue we had with the property is solely due to its location in the community. The house is literally about 20 feet from the A1 highway which runs runs along the back of the property. Honestly, the noise level is annoying. In the evening when you want to relax and have the windows open for the breeze (which is essential since there is no A/C on the first floor) the sound of traffic is obnoxious. We never got used to it. It was difficult to watch movies without turning the volume up to a deafening level. We were a little disappointed with the noise level. All in all, we had a good stay at Spence Villa. It really worked for us as a family. I would absolutely return to Little Bay Country Club, but I would stay in a villa closer to the beach and away from the road next time.

Better than a Resort

My family and I visited Jamaica for 10 days and stayed at Little Bay Country Club, Spence Villa (Unit 30). We registered online with Joe Cool (as suggested) who picked us up from the airport. 1st the driver brought us to "Mega Mart” in Montego Bay. Prices cheaper with North American imports. Round trip airport transfer $120 USD for group of 4. The villa is approx. 60 minutes from Montego Bay. When we arrived, we checked in with security, the caretaker and the owner greeted us. The owner welcomed us and left shortly thereafter. The caretaker provided us with a tour, the keys, WiFi password, a binder with suggestions & phone numbers. She is also a RMT. She also prepared our first dinner and it was fantastic! The house is very cozy, clean and well maintained. The kitchen is equipped with all essentials. The laundry machine was handy (we opted to hang beach towels outside to dry them faster). The bunk bed on the main floor is a plus. The fridge had milk, water, bread, eggs and butter to start us off. (Thank You). Having Wifi, cable and a landline are a huge bonus. The community grounds are breathtaking, safe and private. The patio is under construction & looks like a beautiful project in the making. The quiet serenity is just what we were looking for away from the busy party strip of Negril. I rented a car for a few days and the rest of the time we depended on shuttle service that many restaurants offer. We paid $5 USD for the taxi ride downtown and picked it up right outside the security gate. We visited: · Cosmos (approx. 7 minutes from house) *they also deliver. · Time Square Duty Free Mall for shopping or the Craft Market · Ciao Italian-Jamaican Restaurant (free shuttle service to and from villa) · Push-Cart Restaurant (West End) try the jerk sampler (amazing and inexpensive) · 7 mile beach was great but busy, we were content with our own private beach (villa) We Ordered from Broadway Jerk Center · Delivery ($3) · Grilled Lobster · Jerk platter with 3 sides (festival, veggies & rice) We really enjoyed ourselves. I read the first review and can’t believe we stayed at the same place. I’ve been to Jamaica numerous times always staying at resorts on 7-mile beach or West End but staying at unit 30 was a positive memorable experience.The team here went above & beyond to ensure we had a good time. We really appreciate the recommendations offered. We will be back again! Thanks again, I recommend staying here to everyone!

NO activities, NO services No nothing completely isolated Pool OK Beach really did not use no view

We rented this property from Jan 7-16, 2016 and here I am on Jan 10,2016 after flying back home last night writing this review. If you like carrying water to the second floor to flush the toilets, this place is for you, if you like showering at the pool rinse showers because of no water on the second floor, this place is for you, if you like sharing the living quarters with the huge ant population over the counter tops bathrooms and other places this place is for you, if you like your doors locked at night, this place is not for you, we tied the patio doors closed with a plastic garbage bag and used a plastic clothes hanger to hold the screen doors closed as they are not properly installed and could not latch or lock creating a huge security risk and little sleep.. If you like headlights in your master bedroom all night and the sound of jake brakes because the property is 50ft away from the major highway in Jamaica and on the curve this is the place for you. The washer was out of commission but the manager said it could be used as long as a rug was kept under the front load door, well it turned out the washer worked fairly well with the leak but the dryer kept kicking off because of overheating, we could not find any outside venting and the heated bair was being blown back into the unit in the kitched area, needless to say this created a very uncomfortable heat problem espicially since there is no air conditioning in the kitichen living room area. Andrea was asked about repairs and she indicated repairs would not be done until the unit was empty. I think it was but best by my better half stating I am not staying in a place that I cannot even was my hair so the decision was made to leave. We are not there to supervise repairs or the two hours that was necessay to install the internet. We asked if we could get the code for the pool WiFi but that was met with a big fat no. Horrible cheap construction and only a text message response. I would greatly appreciate a refund of all payments or at lease the $ 1,000 it cost to change out airline tickets. We abandoned about $ 350 in groceries that we tried to negotiate as part of the fare back to the airport but good luck with that. You are very isolated here and dependent on staff help and there is none. We had originally planned 16 days in Jamaica and ended up staying half of that. None of us want to destroy the absolutely wonderfui memory of our first 8 days in Jamaica at another place seven miles away.

Cal is retired and lives on the island nearby to the villa and Dahlia travels back and forth often. The couples daughter, Samantha, is the reservations coordinator and will be able to answer any questions planning your upcoming trip. She can make suggestions for transportation, excursions, attractions in the area, restaurants or bars to see or beaches to visit nearby.

This property is in a gated community with 24 hour security. It has a private beach, infinity pool and club house access. The colorful houses, natural beauty and friendly atmosphere are perfect for anyone looking for a vacation surrounded by serenity. Enhancement projects are ongoing for the community such as: improved paved roads, additional outdoor lighting, a tennis court, basketball net and a visible security entrance lounge.

Little Bay Country Club is a charming gated community that enjoys a private beach, clubhouse, infinity swimming pool, and 24-hour security. The beach leads onto the clear waters of Little Bloody Bay, where a protected fish sanctuary means that there are no motor boats or fishing allowed and one of the most incredible snorkeling environments on the island.

This beautiful vacation property is private with friendly neighbors and visitors from all over the world. The house itself is fully furnished and air-conditioned. It has a walkout to a quaint backyard with patio (currently in development), bunk beds for extra bedding, a washroom on the main floor, two bedrooms with own bathroom access. Full Kitchen, basic cable tv on the main floor only and internet access. It is driving distance (20 minutes) to many amenities: gas stations, restaurants and tourist attractions. The community is located in the resort capital of Negril bordering Hanover off the main road Norman Manley Road) and is before the RIU club hotel facility on the right hand side.
