Great place to stay!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this property in Mauna Lani. The location of the unit was an end unit and had great views. My kids loved the backyard which was shaded by a nice big tree. The pool is close and the private beach access a few miles away is a great spot for families. The layout of the house worked out well for us. Overall we had a great experience

Great corner unit

My friends and I were on the Big Island for a wedding and we wanted a private corner unit that was big enough to accommodate 5 people—this was perfect! This is very spacious and clean and we loved the views. The beach chairs and snorkel gear that were provided was a great added bonus and access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club was definitely a highlight!

Great Villa, wonderful time

Very clean and welcoming. This corner villa gave us extra privacy and wonderful views from the deck and lanai. My only criticism would be the wording in that it "sleeps 8" . All competing villas that I researched referred to beds and or sleeper sofas when stating how many people a rental sleeps. This particular villa will provide you with a couple blow up mattresses for a 7th and eighth person, but that's not really what i expect to sleep on when i go on an expensive vacation. Also, only one small pan in the kitchen was safely usable, as far as frying pans go; the rest had non-stick surfaces that were deeply scarred. I suspect this is just something that has gone unnoticed. The rest of the kitchen was well stocked. This villa has a great layout, and a nice feel to it. I would definitely choose this same unit again, only for a smaller group.

Two weeks at Golf Villas

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at many of the Golf Villas condo's over the years. This unit is nicely laid out and location is great but ---- it needs refreshing! One of the better layouts in the Golf Villas but the beds were in terrible condition and the headboard in the second master is coming off of the wall and needs attention before it falls off and hit's somebody. The furniture downstairs is not comfortable and should be replaced. The master shower - well they are doing something to it now, just not sure what they are doing. Door is off (and in the master closet) and the shower curtain is "kinda" on. The big problem with the master shower is that you get a shower just turning the shower on! No doubt it is probably original layout but should be updated. Lovely place, lovely layout, great location - just needs some up dating. With these relatively minor issues addressed, I would stay there for a month next year! If not - I won't be staying there. Again I can't stress enough - it is a BEAUTIFUL place but just needs some aloha.

Gorgeous View Condo in Lovely Mauna Lani Neighborhood

We had a fabulous time at this condo in the Mauna Lani Golf Villas near the famed Mauna Lani and Fairmont Orchid hotels. The photos do not do the home justice - the views from the two story living room windows/downstairs area are just spectacular! The home was very clean and the end unit location afforded us privacy and even more view. When we checked in we noticed that the glass door of the shower in the master bath was missing (it had been placed on its side in the master closet along with some other miscellaneous wooden doors) and had been replaced by a makeshift shower curtain that didn't open or close easily. Not ultra luxe but somewhat serviceable - it would have been nice to be notified beforehand that the shower door was missing. Kitchen is large and has a few cookware items. Could definitely have used a large strainer/collander, a few baking sheets and some more glassware. Carpet on the stairs and upstairs hallway/rooms definitely needs a deep clean. But otherwise, the home is really lovely and well cared for. The garage is locked for the owner's use but there are 2 decent sized spaces in front of the garage and to the side where we parked our rental car and the Moke. (We highly recommend renting a golf cart from Resort Carts for buzzing around the community.) Communication with Michelle, the property manager, was easy and responsive. We truly enjoyed our stay at the condo and would love to return! Mahalo!!

The end unit is amazing and perfect for our family. We had some problems with the dishwasher and sink and they promptly sent handyman to fix. Would stay here again.

Lovely Villa needs Refreshing

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to the Big Island for years and have stayed in four different units in the Golf Villas. This one by far had the most spectacular views from its lanai. Upon arriving we discovered we could not access the garage, the downstairs closet and linen closet which hampered storage since we stay for a month. The front bedroom closet was filled with beach equipment which we appreciated but did not allow guests any space. The master bath shower door was sitting in the closet, and we had noticed that in a previous review it had been removed in June 2021. It is odd the shower door was not put in the garage or replaced. The shower curtain to replace the door was stained with mildew. The fan/light was not working in the dining room but was promptly replaced. The living room sofa was uncomfortable due to the elastic strap supports being stretched. Although we don't go to Hawaii to watch TV, the TV was not a smart TV which we have come to expect in the Villas. Some of the boogie boards needed replacing due to age. Michelle Coupe the property manager was very helpful and great to work with. Our thanks to her for her diligent and professional care. In general, the Villa is a beautiful unit but needs updating and care.

Terrific home for family of 5

Perfect location with sunrise and sunset vistas. Great community with terrific pool and hot tub. Ability to use beach club is a huge plus for great snorkeling, beach lounging/walks or going to Mauna Lani restaurants. Nicely appointed with everything you need in the house as well as beach equipment (towels, chairs, beach bags, boogie boards). Great lanai for meals, reading or napping.

Carpet, matresses, missing shower door are an indication that the unit is lacking updated and new furnishings. Silk plants and tired furniture need to be tossed. The property managers were responsive and helpful with all the issues we faced as renters. Due to no access to the garage we had to haul golf clubs and dive gear into the house which is a problem. I hope this input is helpful to the owner. I own rental properties and have sold real estate for 40 years.

Property as described with everything in working order except blender and front door outside plug for golf cart. ( Our work around was charging cart from the lanai plug on west side of building). Beautiful sunset view every night from this unit. Pool/work out room on site were great for beach alternative lunch cookouts. I would without a doubt rent this unit again. Mahalo.

Lovely stay at a beautiful property!

The property is in great condition, very clean, nice amenities. The pool was very nice for the keiki as well as relaxing. Only minor complaint would be the owner provided comically minimal quantities of items such as toilet paper, dishwashing soap, and laundry detergent, and charged a comically inflated sum to deliver more, which felt strange to be nickel-and-dimed on such things considering the nightly price.

Great accommodations!

We stayed in this condo Mar 2021 and it was wonderful! Great location, clean and very well stocked! It was very nice to have access to boogie boards, sand toys and sand chairs too. It was the right amount of space for 2 families with 3 young children. They really enjoyed the pool and having a lawn area outside. We hope to stay there again next time we visit the Big Island.

Lots of great beaches around. Listing a little misleading.

There are so many great beaches around this property. The property was wonderful, but we thought it was a little misleading with the fact we thought we were part of the mauna Lana resort. You are in the area of the resort and have a different private beach club access but the mauna Lana resort facilities are not part of this package. We felt like the listing was a bit misleading letting us think we could use the pools at the resort. The pool at the area and private beach club access we had were great though. The pool at the resort only allowed 8 people at a time which made it difficult to get in. One day a full time resident came and kicked us out of the pool because 2 families were there. He was very rude and yelling at children. The house was clean and did have some beach gear we stumbled upon. I wish there was a book or something letting us know about what was in the house. The kitchen could have been stocked better with garbage bags and things. The amount of soap, shampoo, toilet paper isn’t sufficient for the amount of time stayed there. Overall we enjoyed the area and would probably stay again. The kids loved finding stray golf balls around the house in the lava flows.

Great location, quiet and private setting.

Great location, access to the beach club and pool were some of the highlights. Still within short drives to the popular beaches but you have the option to stay within the villas and community and enjoy great beach access, shopping, dining, and activities. There are beach chairs, snorkel gear, and water toys for guests, and a kid friendly area and dwelling. The outdoor lanai and kitchen was supplied and had enough dishes to enjoy family meals if you choose not to eat out every night. We enjoyed that K5 was an end unit, very quiet, gorgeous setting right on the golf course and plenty of privacy to catch sunrise and sunset. Pool and health club hours are very accommodating and a night swim and hot tub was our favorite way to cap off our days. Pool was never crowded or chaotic and the beach club was a great setting as well. It’s amazing how roomy it felt inside, plenty of sleeping arrangements and we loved the 3 bathrooms which allows you to have your own areas if traveling with friends or family.
