Our stay on Sugar Mtn

The condo is located on the beautiful Sugar Mountain. The views are beautiful and the staff are super helpful! Even though the building has hundreds of units it was really quiet. The condo is dated. The guest bathroom ran several times but overall it was comfortable and a nice place to stay of the holiday weekend.

It is an older building but it was clean and had great staff. The unit itself was in good condition, and very comfortable for our stay. So nice to just relax and enjoy the views. This unit is above the lobby area and since we had windows open, you could hear cars and people but it did not bother us.

Great view and great amenities

We had a great time staying at this property. The place was very clean and there was a good amount of space for my husband and I and our kids. The view is absolutely stunning especially in the snow. We were expecting the drive up to be tough but the roadways are kept clean and free from ice. We had everything we needed for cooking and there were plenty of towels. The indoor pool and hot tub were great! The only downside I had about this property was having to park our van and ride another van up to the condo. It was just a bit inconvenient with kids. But overall I'd definitely stay here again.

Loved that the condo was central to a lot of what we chose to do. (Grandfather Mountain, zip line tour, yummy food). Having no air conditioning really wasn’t an issue as it cooled down a lot at night, even late July. Having to park a little bit DOWN the mountain in overflow parking was annoying, but the shuttle service was on point! We never waited. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

Update

This property needs a serious update! Everything is from the 80s from the stove to the curtains. Blinds don’t work drains leaking, burners on the stove need to be replaced and the toilets hardly flush. I’m sure some are nicer than others but not 2210 the management company did try to help and did go get a new air mattress to replace the broken one in the pull out couch. Location and view are great!

I had a wonderful, restful, and peaceful time at Sugar Mountain

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was spectacular. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful over Grandfather Mountain. The condo was clean, beds firm, and kitchen well equipped. It took a few minutes for bath or sink water to get warm. Also flushing toilet and draining tub was slow. The staff were very polite, happy, and helpful. Overall it was a wonderful experience. I'll probably stay at Sugar Mountain condos again.

However unfortunately we were there to ski and we will never return sugar mountain ski resort has by far the worst owners and staff i have ever seen. i only write this here in hopes that enough property owners and managers can put enough pressure on the ski resort so as they might understand that without customers there is no ski resort. my internet review of the ski resort only mirrors the thousand of the same complaints.

Unit 2210

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the third time for us to rent this unit usually it is very clean and nice. This time we had some issues with cleanliness (coffee pot had mold in the baskets and dishes in the dishwasher upon arrival), the toilet seat in the guest bathroom had a bolt missing therefore making it slide while using and the guest bathroom electrical plug not working at all even after pushing the reset buttons. We love the location and the staff....Joan from the property management group is fantastic!!! We will do business with you again but will probably ask for another unit.

Everyone was kind & the view was magical

The unit was very nice & well equipped. Although there was no internet access in the unit it was good to be away from it for 2 weeks. I understand that the internet will be available soon for future guests. The view was always changing, I hated going to bed 😊. I highly recommend this until to everyone who just needs to take a break and relax.
