This is a great property and my family had a wonderful time. The only thing is that the pictures online are not accurate. There are two room which we supposed to have two double beds which have been updated to have king beds. This became an issue as my 13 and 16 year old did not want to sleep in the same bed but we figured it out. Other than that, you cannot beat the location and proximity to the ocean.

Can't beat this house. Kitchen is very well-equipped!! The location and view are the BEST!! We were there for our 30th anniversary and decided to make it an annual anniversary trip.

Fun family stay at the beach. This house is right on the beach and lots of windows to view the waves. Listing photos are accurate and property’s management great to work with/ quick responses.

Not worth it

Two cockroaches in the kitchen area. I had asked prior to arrival to ensure a clean house. I guess they let the beach front sell itself but don’t take ownership in the quality of the home.

House was well equipped from kitchen to bedrooms and the beds were very comfortable. My family had a great time and also being able to bring our fur babies made the trip complete, only problem we did not want to leave, will definitely rent out again and recommend to friends and family.

Tita's Sandcastle in Lost Colony

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great place to stay! It's pet friendly and the kitchen is well equipped. The views and access to the beach are unlike any place that we have ever experienced! It could use a bit of updating and minor repairs. The pocket door to the bathroom on the downstairs main bedroom did not work and should be fixed for bathroom privacy. We had to lock the bedroom door for bathroom privacy. The down stairs bedroom door had a hole on the inside that needs to be repaired. There were grass burs in the lawn, but we worked around them. I wish that there was beach access for golf carts. We reserved a golf cart only to find out that there was not golf cart accessible roads to the beach. Luckily Island Outfitters returned our money. Overall, this is a great house, and we will be booking it again.

Nice House Not Nice Mosquitoes

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I put “mosquitoes” in the title so future guests wouldn’t forget to bring mosquito spray. The pet friendly beach house was really nice for our family. It was clean and Port A Escapes staff were very friendly. Kitchen was nicely stocked but future guests might want to throw in their own 7” non stick frying pan if they intend on frying eggs. We did see the usual beach roaches in the house, but we could tell the house was sprayed on a regular basis. The laundry room was not in the living area of the house (located downstairs near the garage) but that was not a game changer. Plenty of seating in the kitchen and on the deck. The best house in Lost Colony for beach location.

Reviewer Comments: This is our second year staying in this house ... we have come to vacation in port a , corpus , rockport, South Padre, North Padre, Sergeant, Portland, Port Mansfield, and all the years with our kids when they were little to now as they are young adults we finally found the perfect beach vacation home, and the people at port A escapes are amazing and friendly and the house is clean and equipped with everything you need and we never plan on using any other house except this one again for all of our vacations in Port Aransas thank you again for an amazing wonderful time

Great location

Can’t beat the location of this property and the deck feels like you’re right on the beach. The neighborhood is also great. Only complaint is the dishes and pans were dirty when we showed up. Our dogs also got fleas on the property but hard to say where. Overall great stay in Port A!

Location

We stayed in same house 12-14 years ago. Location is excellent and very hard to beat right on the beach. The deck offers 180 degree beach views. Lots of light in kitchen / dining area. Kitchen is well appointed. My singular ding has to do with the 5 dead roaches we found (3 within first 15 minutes) on the floor, and the deck which had not been cleaned up after prior tenant.

1. Could not access ground floor room until second day 2. Ground floor room does not have shower/tub (should have been noted in description of property) 3. Dirt/heavy dust in bathrooms on cabinet doors and all doors that are louvered 4. Flying cockroaches (we have been going to Lost Colony for over 16 years and never saw cockroaches until this property 5. Great wrap around porch 6. Not enough towels 7. Responsive property manager
