Completamente remodelado, dentro y fuera de la temporada 2014! Difícilmente puede acercarse más a la playa que esta casa de playa de Lost Colony. Situado a pocos pasos de la piscina o al complejo de paseo a la playa. El salón principal tiene una sala abierta y cocina. Hay dos mesas de uno de cuatro asientos y los otros tres, junto con barra asientos para cuatro. La cocina está bien equipar y hay unas vistas del agua desde cualquier lugar de la habitación. Las ventanas de 30 pies con impresionantes vistas al mar son el punto central de la sala. Hay un baño completo situado en esta planta. La planta superior tiene tres dormitorios y un baño completo. El principal tiene una cama King size, la segunda habitación 3 con dos camas y el tercer dormitorio una reina. El sofá bajar escaleras también se abre en un sofá cama doble. El segundo gran maestro en la planta baja cuenta con una cama King size y sorprendentes vistas del agua, a pocos pasos de distancia. Esta unidad de capacidad para 10 personas en camas y es adecuado para mascotas. Hay internet inalámbrico para su uso. Had a wonderful time, all was great, we enjoyed it very much. The water was the clearest we had ever seen. Few items to check out - bottom master shower has low to no pressure. 3rd floor bunk room ceiling fan didn’t work- light was fine. Side porch light out. Pest control didn’t stop by and there are some ants, spiders and roaches. Normal stuff- lovely home- we look forward to staying again in the future.

This is our third year renting this property because it is beautiful with plenty of room for all of us. The best thing about this property is that it is right on the beach, and it is a clean, quiet community. Port A Escapes rental service is wonderful and very easy to communicate with. We love this property and will definitely be returning again.

The location and view of the beach from the home was incredible! We enjoyed the back porch very much. The king beds in the rooms were very comfortable. The bathrooms were a great size and accommodated everyone well. We all had plenty of bath towels. The walk to the beach was very easy and quick. The home definitely feels well loved. The kitchen was lacking in utensils. There were hardly any spoons or kitchen knives. The water pressure wasn’t very strong, but the water was being worked on in the neighborhood so that could have been why. We loved using the outdoor shower, so we mostly used that when showering. We did appreciate that we could bring our dogs. Overall, it was a wonderful space for our family and we loved our time on the beach!

It is a lovely, comfortable, spacious house right next to the beach. The large deck that overlooks the beach is especially nice. The property is well maintained and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking and serving utensils. The house is located close to a beach access walkway. We plan to return next year.

Review

The house is very nice and close to the beach. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star review is because we stayed there last year and said the ceiling fan in the upstairs master bedroom is broken. It is stuck on the low setting. The low setting does not cool the room off enough. It was very humid in the bedroom. Either fix it or buy a new ceiling fan that runs faster. They do not cost that much!! We plan to make reservations again next summer and would really appreciate a new fan that runs on high.

4th Get Away

Great house located directly on beach. Grandson’s first trip to ocean. we all loved the views from the house and deck. The kitchen was a delight to cook in with the beautiful view of the ocean. We fished, made sand castles, and enjoyed riding the waves. Also enjoyed a couple of meals out. Great weekend away!

Perfect location!

Definitely a beachfront home - loved hearing the sound of the surf as we sat on the deck. It was one minute walk to the beach - could not have been closer!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view at this property is as published. Beautiful! However, it was disappointing that they didn’t clean the windows so we could see the view clearly. We ended up cleaning them ourselves so we could fully enjoy the view. The house was too close to other homes. Someone had rented the house next to us, and they had large groups over the first two full days of our stay, parking more cars in their space than allowed and feeding the seagulls from the deck right next to ours. The sliding door in the downstairs bedroom doesn’t lock, and the doors on the bathroom for that room are only small saloon type doors that cover half the opening. So basically felt like an open bathroom. Despite some of these issues the house is nice and we were thankful we could bring our dog.

Location was great! Fridge & freezer smelled HORRIBLE when we got there & we ended up having an ant issue but the property manager was super responsive & helped us resolve the issues promptly. Overall, a good stay.

Family Vacation

We stayed in one of the homes in Lost Colony last year. We decided to try this one for our annual Port Aransas trip this year. The view cannot be matched. The downstairs bedroom runs a bit warm. There was a cleanliness issue when we arrived. It smelled like smoke inside the house. In the kitchen, there was a new trashbag with beer bottles and cigarette butts and ashes dumped in the trash bag. There was also an issue with the cleanliness of the toilet in the downstairs bathroom and sand on the entry floor. It seemed like the previous guests had left quite an unexpected mess, but my call to the property manager had someone over to fix that issue in less than five minutes, and some airing out and our own sanitization of the home did the trick. The beds are comfortable, and the showers and bathrooms are nice and roomy. The furniture is comfortable. The home is just beautiful. There is the usual wear that you would expect for a home that is on the water and occupied by numerous vacationers. You just can’t beat that view though. In all my years of vacationing in Port Aransas since I was a child, these homes at the front of Lost Colony have the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen in any home or condo I’ve stayed in. So many nice people were also there vacationing. I could sit on that balcony or inside the house all day just staring at the water. Did I mention the sunrises? They are pretty breath taking. We will be back again next year, likely to this same home.

Excellent beachfront property

Everything was as advertised. Beautiful home in excellent condition and very clean. Well stocked kitchen service was great; we had a problem using cable tv and they responded with a service man at night. Turned out to be just a reset which we could have done if we knew the system.

Family time at Waters Edge

We so enjoyed our annual family vacation at Waters Edge. It is perfect for our family of eight. It is quiet and right on the beach and the sound of the waves. Sunrises are beautiful and glorious! The only thing I would suggest is that there should be more hand towels for the bathrooms. There were only 3 hand towels and there are 6 lavatories in the bathrooms. Thank you for a wonderful time!!
