Impresionante casa de suegros. ¡Masivo! Privado, tranquilo, pero a poca distancia (1. 5 millas) del centro. Pacífico. Vistas del patio trasero arbolado, que comparte con el propietario y el venado local. Garaje privado y entrada; biblioteca grande, juegos de mesa, artículos para manualidades, colchonetas de yoga (mucho espacio), ¡incluso un caballete! Nueva lavadora / secadora de tamaño completo, una bonita cocina grande, ¡todo para su uso exclusivo! No mascotas, no menores de 6 años.
2 habitaciones grandes: cama king-size en la planta superior y 2 camas individuales en la planta baja (+ colchón o sofá Ikea para una persona adicional). Elegante, espacioso, acogedor!


El espacio

Este es un lugar perfecto para relajarse y descansar, pero aún muy cerca de la cultura del centro de Olympia, con sus paseos artísticos, teatros y el centro político que es la capital de nuestro estado. Un hermoso parque de 2 cuadras justo en la esquina ofrece baloncesto y tenis, ¡y tenemos 2 raquetas para su uso! Varios autobuses están a poca distancia a pie; una gran tienda de comestibles y un popular y único restaurante de comida rápida se encuentran a pocas cuadras de distancia.

Estacionamiento en el garaje solo para usted, así como fácil estacionamiento en la calle para un automóvil adicional si es necesario.

Ropa de cama: Súper cómodo colchón Tempur-Pedic tamaño king y dos cómodas camas individuales en el enorme dormitorio de la planta baja. Su quinto invitado puede elegir un colchón de aire de tamaño completo o el nuevo sofá seccional (¡con ropa de cama, por supuesto!)

Hay un área de oficinas dedicada y mucho espacio para sus trámites, ¡si lo necesita!

Tranquility

The host has done an amazing job creating a relaxing, tranquil indoor space full of extras. The outside garden while not in bloom during my stay is truly magical. I appreciated the attention to detail and the extra attention that she gave before our stay to make sure we were comfortable.

Great place

We were five adults basically needing a comfortable place to sleep during Christmas vacation. We had family in the area that we spent the majority of our time with. The owner met with us and showed us the place and later communicated with us by text. She was mindful of our privacy. We, in turn, tried to follow her house rules as best we could. She has provided a library with an eclectic array of subjects and we found some to read that we enjoyed. Two of the other perks provided were the Wifi and the laundry facilities, both of which we took advantage. We enjoyed our worry free stay at this property.

Fantastic!

We were met by property owner who showed us house and provided valuable information on the area. We used the property as a base for visiting the surrounding National Parks, including Mt. Saint Helens, Mt. Rainier, and the Olympic National Park. We also toured the Capital Building, and thoroughly enjoyed the local restaurants! The place was super clean, and we had a fantastic week!

Amazing and Tranquil

This is an amazing place tucked into a quaint and quiet little neighborhood. The owner, Shanti, personally met us on the first day and gave us the layout of the space. The greeting and hospitality provided by her was unprecedented and greatly appreciated. The space is well laid out with plenty of books and games to use while there. Shanti even provided tennis rackets and a basketball that we used at the local park that was located just a few hundred feet from the house. I have to mention that the garden space that Shanti has created in the back yard made for a nice and peaceful place to read one of those many books from her library. The reason we chose this property was to use it as a base while we hit the coast for one day, Olympic National Park on another, Mt Rainier and even Portland Or. Didn't realize the gem that this place was until we got there. I highly recommend this property to anyone that wants to visit Washington State! It is centrally located, easy to get to around and the owner is just a wonderful person. Happy Trails and safe travels!!!

Perfect for Our Short Stay in Olympia

This place had everything we needed and Shanti Mai was a gracious host. It’s a short walk to downtown Olympia and south Peugeot Sound. It does not have a full kitchen, but it suited us fine for cereal breakfasts. It’s layout is a little unusual, but Shanti’s explanation and orientation explained it all and made sense. We would stay here again.

Shanti Mai has thought of everything!

I stayed with Shanti Mai for 3 weeks and felt at home. This space is beautiful & comfortable, and Shanti Mai is very welcoming. She has truly thought of everything to make her guests stay comfortable. If you need anything, she probably already has it in the house. The king bed is incredibly comfortable. The backyard is gorgeous. It's on a quite road with friendly neighbors and easy parking, yet it's still extremely close to everything Olympia has to offer (plus the necessities of grocery stores, gas, yoga, etc). I'd highly recommend staying here!!!

Nice, quiet and clean

My father and I stayed at this little retreat and it was actually the perfect spot for us to be while visiting family in WA. Very close to shopping centers, Lacey and Olympia. The owner was very friendly, attentive and flexible, which I was very much appreciated. We had a good time and I would stay there again.

Fellow gardeners will know what a joy that is! I recently planted the apple tree I grafted 2 years ago, and harvested several varieties of apples that I grafted onto my crabapple tree that same year. So fun! There are now 2 grape arbors here now, too! One variety was there years before I arrived; the other two I grafted, based on grapes that grow well in the Puget Sound, and whose qualities I particularly enjoy. I love to discuss everything from science to spirituality. I'm irreverent, sensitive, silly, love learning, love change. Very friendly in general, sometimes need my down time. Out of the box and a bit rebellious as needed. :~] Raised as a military brat. My favorite places on Earth tend to involve water: Ireland, Salt Spring Island, B.C., Canada, and the Salish Sea area of Washington State. As you can see from these, great heat is not something I tend to need or enjoy! I'm a former: Head Start Lead Teacher, German teacher, Sign Language Interpreter, Resident Manager of a Group Home for Schizophrenic Adults, and Transcendental Meditation teacher. But, wait - there's more! (No, that's enough for here.) It's important to me to greet you personally to orient you to the space. AND: For Winter of 2022/23, we will do a Zoom Meet and Greet and walk-through of your upstairs, both so that I can get to know you, and so that you will know everything you need to know to get the most out of this unique retreat. Then, when you arrive, we will do the downstairs orientation. :~]

I've always been a "plant person", and the idea of owning a double lot with mature trees really spoke to me! It's also in a really convenient spot in the city of Olympia, but doesn't feel that way at all. l love being a steward of this land, and love to show people what I'm doing to create more and more of a spiritual and emotional retreat here. This is an perfect place for writing, doing artwork, dancing, reading, yoga, meditation...

Quiet, convenient, spacious. Really spacious. And unique. I've set it up to allow you to remember that you used to like to write poetry, or sketch, or do magic tricks, to knit, to do yoga, to read, to gaze out at nature, to have your coffee under quiet trees. And to walk to downtown if you'd like to! Or play basketball or tennis at Lions Park, just a few doors away. I can also show you what I've done here with plant grafting, in that's something you'd be interested in. :~]
