Casa De Emdeko ofrece a los propietarios y huéspedes la mezcla perfecta de ambiente hawaiano con jardines tropicales y los cantos de las muchas aves coloridas disfrutando de las características del agua en el jardín. Disfrute de la piscina jardín situado en medio de un entorno tropical. Casa también cuenta con una de las pocas piscinas frente al mar donde se puede nadar y tomar el sol hawaiano caliente mientras observa las ballenas o los delfines juegan, dependiendo de la temporada de su visita. Palmeras en nuestra área de tomar el sol privada de arena en la orilla del mar ofrece espléndidas puestas de sol con un especial sentido de la serenidad. Nuestras mesas de cabañas, barbacoas y lanai son perfectas para cenas con amigos y hacer nuevos amigos de todo el mundo.

Salt water pool over looking the ocean poounding against the wall. So cool. Chlorine pool was really.nice and warm. Fountain was a tranquil and soothing.

We really enjoyed our stay in and would stay here again. This unit is conveniently located and has a lovely ocean view from the lanai. Everything was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, and I really liked having a washer/dryer in the unit. The air conditioning worked well and the king size bed was very comfy. There is an elevator. The pool area is awesome, with a fresh water pool, a salt water pool, a sandy "beach" area, grills, and tables overlooking the ocean. The complex is very quiet and peaceful and beautifully landscaped.

Pool refurbishing

If we had known that the small pool directly below us would be under construction from 8:00am to 3:30pm every weekday we would not have rented this unit. We ended up planning to vacate the unit every day out of necessity. It would have been nice to have a leisurely morning on the lanai but the noise made that impossible. The unit itself was okay. The bathroom was nice. The kitchen was well equipped. The laminate floors need to be replaced and the bed was saggy.

Our big balcony overlooked the courtyard with palm trees and pool. Salt water pool closed, sadly. K jtso. Instantly responded when we didn’t know how to lock the front door on our way out to dinner. Easy with knowledge! Condo was just over a mile from most sidewalk, so not ok to walk into town at night. Enjoyed dining close to ocean and gorgeous sunsets! Our favorite outing was a long tour of a coffee plantation.

The kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom has been nicely updated and the separate sinks made getting ready for the day fast and easy. The property is beautiful maintained and very well kept. The salt water pool overlooking the ocean was a real treat along with the private little beach overlooking the water. Check-in and check-out was extremely fast and easy. The host was very accommodating and attentive and reached out several times to make sure our stay was going well and to see what if we needed anything! If you are visiting the big island, I would recommend night snorkeling with the Manta rays- it is an unforgettable experience!! I will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit the big island and will be recommending to my friends and family. The location to all the shops and restaurants in Kona is perfect, you will not be disappointed!

Not quite as described

The first half of our holiday was in Maui in another VRBO condo rental. We loved the Maui rental, so we’re excited to come to the Big Island for the second half. Four days before our flight over to the Big Island and this condo, I received an email from the Property management company (Knutson’s) saying that we can no longer have the late checkout time that we’d agreed upon and paid for months prior. They said they were sorry and would refund that late checkout charge. This to me was very unprofessional and put a damper on our stay even before we got there. We had a very late flight back to Canada at the end of our trip and hoped to shower and change in the comfort of the condo prior to leaving. I emailed Knutson’s back questioning this and their response was simply “Thank you for understanding “. I don’t understand! The condo itself was sufficient but not newly renovated as described in the condo description. I’d say the photos were at least 10 years old. It was clean though and the bed was comfortable. The living rooms laminate floors were all rippled and pealing. And other furnature in the condo was not very comfortable. The grounds around the condo were beautiful. We especially loved the salt water pool overlooking the ocean. We did find an alternative stay for our last day on the island but booking so last minute we definitely paid a price for it. I would consider staying in this complex again but definitely not this condo and definitely not if it’s managed by Knutson’s.

an frustrating experience

Reviewer Comments: 1\5 experience even booking property was difficult.very slow when i chose to respond to emails, un-returned phone call. arrival patio screen door broken stuck 3/4 closed. fitted bed sheet w 2 holes in it & what looked like dried blood. dries food stuck to plates (in cupboard) . only 1 kitchen trash bag , next day went out bought more bags. virtually empty (99 %) toilet paper on wall. was NOT able to watch any tv during stay. i was so looking forward to watching Superbowl i nor brother couldn't figure out how to turn on & use tv. Knutsen had pages of generic notes for tv operation. couldn't figure it out , when i mentioned it to Knudsen woman she said associates spent Superbowl mornings going out setting up peoples tv "really" . i thought maybe the problem was the generic long instructions in old out dated Knutsen book. feb 14 between 8:30 - 2:30 someone came into my suite removed something from bedroom closet . called Knudsen no response that day next day tx message sorry we forgot to let you know someone was in your suite . finally i got to speak w a woman about someone coming into my suite her short response was 'Sorry' we should have advised you." tried to explain other issues, bed linen , garbage bag only 1 "no would would have been left 3" . holes bed sheet w dried blood, solid dried food on plates in cup 10 days into stay a woman walked in as i was coming in from porch to say "oh you checked in early" when in fact i checked in 10 days earlier.i wish these people who unauthorized entering my suite would of least asked me if i need anything , yes id say the tv does not work. Knudsen & Associates management company did not to a very good job at all of being polite , professional or helpful. oh yes i checked out a day in advance tx'd Knudsen to let them know so it would give house cleaners more time to come in & do good job for next tenants .towels, bed linen old very used need

Ocean views, bird songs and whales

We loved the salt water pool right beside the ocean, and the atrium and water fountain in the middle with all the birds singing their beautiful songs. The property description was accurate, arrival and departure instructions were straight forward, Knutson & Assoc were great to work with, and we would definitely recommend this property to others. We did however, find the cleaning to be a bit sub par. Housekeeping should pay more attention to the details/high traffic areas (e.g. door knobs and light switches and surrounding areas). We found the kitchen to be very functional, the living area had lots of space, and the bathroom, especially the spacious shower, was great! Having the Kona Trolley/shuttle bus stops right in front of the complex was very handy as well. We spent a lot of our time out on the lanai, enjoying the birds' songs, and watching for whales - and yes we saw some! We very much enjoyed our week at #330 Casa de Emdeko!

A comfortable stay after changes

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First impressions. the unit looked very clean, the front room large with open floor space. The kitchen well equipped. The bed was very uncomfortable. A 4-inch-thick piece of multi-purpose foam was used for a topper and too soft producing sweat and we rolled to the middle.As mentioned by others, the outside lights at night lit up the bedroom like noon time. After a mostly sleepless first night we removed the foam piece, remade the bed, it was comfortable! We had to cover the bedroom window blinds with towels to darken the room at night.The Tv was about 20 feet away from the couch and initially we had to raise the volume, so we decided to move the couch 6-8 feet towards the TV and that made all of the difference solving the TV viewing and loudness problems.We put the large old bed foam piece, behind the couch during our stay.The washer and dryer were a plus as the complex pay machines were very old looking.No beach stuff, coolers, umbrellas, snorkeling equipment etc.The air conditioning was a plus.BTW: during the night the bed without the foam pad was cooler, just used the ceiling fan.The TV had a good picture but no Element remote control, just the Spectrum remote. Our Fire Stick was useless, no other HDMI ports were available. There were no usb outlets so bring your own.The balcony was wonderful for early morning coffee and breakfast as well as an afternoon drink or dinner later. We spent a lot of time here.The beach area was nice for relaxing and viewing the sunsets as was the saltwater pool.There were continuous internet interruptions with warnings on our Ios units saying the connection was not safe. Our MS laptop just disconnected, regularly. Virus scans showed no breaches but be cautious anyway.This unit became very comfortable after we made the above changes, especially discarding the bed foam topper, covering up the bedroom windows at night

The condo provided a lot of indoor space, and included a washer/dryer, as well as a fully stocked kitchen and California King bed. The unit was very clean and the outdoor deck space was large and offered a fantastic ocean view. We did not encounter any problems and the rental through Knutson and Associates was seamless. It was also nice to have a code for the door instead of carrying keys with us. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Hawaii island. 5*

Aloha! This space was perfect for our trip this time. Within 45 minutes of our favorite white sand beaches, and very close to Kona, grocery stores and airport! I would love to see a few more basic amenities like a less confusing tv set up, some cookware and toiletries (was well stocked for the first week, then needed a few more things.). It was also very quiet (aside from the grounds crew on a few days). Would definitely stay here again and thank you to the management team for being so responsive about our requests! Mahalo!

Clean and beautiful site!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
