Casa De Emdeko es uno de los complejos de condominios frente al mar más populares; Visítelo solo una vez y, como la mayoría de nuestros huéspedes, seguirá regresando. Hay algo mágico en Casa de Emdeko: hay un ambiente social acogedor y puedes conocer a otros huéspedes y propietarios por la noche en el patio de la comunidad mientras observas la puesta de sol o las barbacoas y los restaurantes frente al mar. La unidad # 115 es una unidad del primer piso (fácil acceso a todo) y muy cerca del océano.

Este recién renovado apartamento de 1 dormitorio, 1 baño está en la planta baja, tiene fácil acceso y se encuentra a pocos pasos de la zona de playa de arena (sin acceso al mar) y de la piscina de agua salada, pero muy seguro, tranquilo y privado. Dormitorio principal cama King con un cómodo colchón de espuma de memoria. Sofá-cama en la sala de estar. Unidad es de aprox 700 pies cuadrados. Lo sentimos, la unidad no es adecuado para los niños. MAX OCUPACIÓN es 2

This is a great location, a couple of miles from Ironman race start/finish, quiet property right on the ocean and with a gorgeous Oceanside pool. Our host was very communicative and we had no issues at all.

Casa was a wonderful place to stay in Kona. Cathie was amazing with communication and trying to be helpful in ensuring our stay was comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, the pools relaxing and having the ocean just steps away to watch the sunset was so amazing!! The only small negative was that the complex was working on the air conditioning so the one in the unit was not functioning properly. That said, it was still comfortable after getting acclimated to the island temps. Cathie offered to bring us extra fans to help. On check out day, we had a late flight out and she gave us a late check out which made our day go so much better!! I would and will definitely stay here again. Thank you Cathie and JP for the use of your lovely place while we were on the island.

The best place to stay on Ali'i Drive

I had an amazing 2 week stay. I have been coming to the Big Island for many years and this was my favorite stay. The unit was super clean and set up. The pool area was beautiful and the sunsets breathtaking. I am looking forward to returning next year.

Awesome location and beautiful place

The hosts are extremely responsive and everything you need is on site. The building is beautiful and the courtyard and sand area are perfect. Great place for meeting friends and family.

I would definitely stay at the casa de emdeko room 115 again. The owners were wonderful and thier condo was just wonderful! Beautiful property and the best place to see the sunset at thier beach or swimming in the salt pool!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa De Emdeko. Loved the salt water pool and the convenience of stores and restaurants. The condo was clean and well-appointed with everything one would need. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location

Loved the outside common areas. Saw my first green flash sunset there. Host left a couple of beers in the fridge which were appreciated. Easy check in and check out. Nice having a/c if needed.

Friendly spot

A very nice condo with lots of supplies and equipment to make a perfect vacation. The landscaping is gorgeous with an endless shower of fragrant plumeria blossoms. Staff keep the grounds immaculate. Best of all is the friendly community of the resort with the lovely tradition of watching the sunset each evening, including the blowing of the conch shell, while enjoying the gorgeous oceanfront view. Can’t be nicer! And the hosts are near enough to take care of any problems. Great place!

Wonderful property

We loved this condo!! Cathie was wonderful. She was so fast in answering our questions and was a very gracious host. The condo was great and had everything we needed, plus some extra things we didn’t expect (beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, cooler). We felt very safe and welcome. We loved the location! It was close to our 2 favorite outings: Night snorkeling with the manta rays and hiking to the Captain Cook Monument and snorkeling there. We will definitely stay there again!

Great place in a nice complex.

The condo was clean and had literally ALL the essentials. The bed was comfortable and the complex was quiet. The only heads up is there really is not an ocean view from the condo or the lanai. However, you are steps away from a beautiful salt water pool that is on the edge of the ocean. We will stay here again.

The location of this place was the best! We loved hearing the ocean at night through the windows. The unit was homey and comfortable. It was also stocked with everything you could possibly every need to be able to cook, personal items, and even items for going on excursions! We also enjoyed having 2 pools and hearing the birds everyday. The only thing was it was hard to get parking at night if you were out late and would need to park outside the gate.

A Wonderful Find!

I was initially looking at major Kona hotels for our stay, thinking they would be a 'safer / more convenient' choice than a Vrbo. Then Casa de Emdeko showed up in my search. I just knew at the time I booked it I had made the right decision - our stay confirmed it. We could not be more happy with the condo itself (private, quiet, comfortable) and Cathie's hospitality made us feel welcome. We'll be back!

Great condo

This unit exceded our expectations for a condo in Hawaii. The unit was well-equiped with quality linens, kitchen tools and utensils (pots, pans, bowls,etc.)..perfect for those who like to cook while on vacation.The pantry was well-stocked when we arrived. Barbecue area is a friendly gathering place while cooking and sipping on a cocktail. The bed is very comfortable. Owners respond quickly to all calls and take pride in their unit. We will return soon.

Well equipped Well located

This ground floor oceanfront condo at Casa De Emdeko just south of Kailua is an excellent choice for a couple. It offers a very comfortable king bedroom, bathroom with double sinks. The kitchen and living room are small but provide everything you need. Would have liked a dining table but there is a table and chairs on the lanai. There is a fresh water pool and another salt water pool along the shore wall. The condo is a bit worn but is about to be remodeled. The owner was great to work with. Overall an excellent value.

Perfect Condo

Casa de Emdeko is a smaller condo complex with beautiful grounds and 2 swimming pools....one salt water right at ocean edge and the other fresh water. There is a sandy beach area with lounge chairs and palm trees to relax, read a book, watch for dolphins or do whatever your heart desires. Cathie was great with communication...even sending us a note to make sure everything was okay. Her condo is close to the bbq area and cabana....just steps away and has everything described. The condo itself is well equipped and has everything you need for your stay. Every detail has been thought of and there was nothing that we felt was missing. You can listen to the ocean while laying on the comfortable bed with nice quality sheets! The condo is nicely decorated with lots of beautiful art/pictures and very well maintained. We have stayed at the Casa a number of times and this is one of our favourite units....can hardly wait to go back! Thank you for everything, it was wonderful.

Excellent Kona Condo

We stayed in the condo for 5 weeks January through the beginning of February and loved every minute of it. The condo is in a very convenient location- far enough away from the main part of town to be quiet, but just a short drive or easy walk into town. It is a very nice size for 2 people. The bed was extremely comfy, the kitchen well stocked,pleasantly decorated and everything was clean. It was so convenient to have the washer/drier in the suite, and we found the printer to be equally useful since we had some family matters to deal with while we were away. Thanks so much for having the printer there! There was a handy little cooler which we used to take to the beach, and lots of extra beach towels, beach chairs etc. The condo is on the ground floor, which is handy for suitcases, groceries and getting back and forth to the pools and barbecue area. We also enjoyed the small sandy beach area, complete with palm trees, sunsets and whale watching. The condo manager was easy to deal with and friendly as were the owners. At night, if you open the bedroom windows, you can hear the surf, which is a very pleasant addition! As mentioned by others, it is on the south side so the lanai stays shady in the afternoon and the condo doesn't heat up. We also found having the lock box on the door very convenient as we didn't have to remember to take a house key! There were many other Canadians there while we were there so it was nice to touch base with others from home while we were away. This is our 3rd time to Kona, but first time in this condo, but we will not hesitate to return there again!

La mejor casa en la que he estado por mucho. Tiene absolutamente de todo y la ubicación y los servicios de la urbanización como las piscinas y playa son de 10! Si vuelvo a hawai volveré a este apartamento sin duda. Cathie es encantadora y nos ha facilitado de todo en todo momento incluso el chec-out lo hemos podido retrasar según nuestras necesidades. Estamos enamorados de su casa! The best house I've been to for a long time. It has absolutely everything and the location and services of the urbanization as the pools and Beach are incredible! If I return to Hawaii I will definitely return to this apartment. Cathie is charming and made everything available at all times even the check-out was delayed according to our needs. We are in love with that house!

Fabulous, Fabulous!

The host has outfitted the place perfectly, even leaving quality snorkeling equipment in multiple sizes. The bed was totally comfortable; I even ordered the same sheets when I got home because they were so rich. The surf was extra high while I was there, so the salt pool was closed, alas. I look forward to trying it the next time. Nevertheless I swam in the fresh water pool daily, sat by the waves crashing on the rocks where the small "beach" meets the rocks and watched daily, and I slept with windows open to hear the pounding surf. The condo is far enough from the hustle/bustle of the tourist business district, yet convenient for everything you might want. I'll be back. Mahalo. Mahalo mucho.

Picture of us in Kona on our wedding day (Summer Solstice, 2013). I purchased the property with a friend in 2002 but now John (JP) and I have full ownership. We are both retired and over six years ago we moved to the Big Island (from Corvallis, Oregon and Lake Tahoe,, CA) We love living in Hawaii where we spend most of our time bicycling, paddling, swimming, golfing, snorkeling, exploring out-of-the-way snorkeling spots and preparing fabulous meals for our friends.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

I love our private beach. There's nothing like getting up early and sitting on the sea wall with a cup of coffee and binoculars..watching for the whales and dolphins. Of course, in the evening it's the same thing, to watch the sunset, only it's with a Mai Tai.
