Location was great, only thing I suggest is making sure everything was clean and nothing missing/broke before the next guests arrive. A pass was missing and it states there's a fee per missing pass, but I was able to contact the owners and clear that up. Then the piano leg was broke off and was stressing about being charged for something we didn't do.

We stay at Rumbling Bald facilities about once a year and always enjoy it! The kids played pickles ball, mini golf, bean bag toss, and swam in the indoor pool and avg day! This was our first visit back since Helene and we were just so glad to visit both Lake Lure and Hike Chimney Rock. The kids really enjoyed the pool table and the short distance to the facilities and beach.

Mountain Getaway

Such a cute home, location was close to Chimney Rock and Catawba Falls. Resort had many amenities and home was in walking distance.

The home was as described. We like homes with bedrooms on the main level. However, there is an extremely steep climb up the driveway to the front door that might be challenging for some.2 members of our party (that are active but in their 70s) opted to skip a few group outtings because the walk back up the hill.The basement rec area had a great items! Please consider adding a comfortable chair or seat.Very nice. Very clean and great communication. Check-in was very smooth.

Family trip

We enjoyed staying here. The downstairs was perfect for the kids to have their own little get away. Our moms enjoyed sitting on the back deck every morning, visiting with the squirrels and birds. Very relaxing week.

Ladies golf trip

We played in a 2 day golf tournament at the Rumbling Bald Resort. The location of the house was perfect for that. There were four of us so we each had our own room.

Rumbling Bald Resort

The resort at Rumbling Bald is fabulous. The beach was unfortunately decimated by Hurricane Helene and restoration is still underway. Prior to the storm, the beach was great, including kayak rentals and boat slips, and a playground for the kids. I look forward to the day when it is restored. The pool area and tennis courts, etc are open which was worth going to. The area restaurants are good, too.

For the wedding party

We rented the house for friends and family to stay at for our Wedding. We were very happy with the house it’s a beautiful property. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Due to the poor condition of the home, we decided to end our vacation at the Noll House after just one day. Who wants to pay to stay in a house filled with heavily used, scarred, and stained furniture? We had to sit on a couch with food crumbs and garbage tucked into the cushions, and sleep on cheap sheets over uncomfortable, noisy mattresses.This property is a fixer-upper, not a vacation home. It is definitely not a place where you can feel comfortable, relaxed, or free from the stress of daily life.Furthermore, although the property is listed as smoke-free, the enclosed patio attached to the dining room has clearly been used by smokers. The stale odor hits you the moment you open the front door.It is quite apparent that Photoshop and a wide-angle lens did wonders to make the house look appealing online. We were fooled for sure. Additionally, there are no views of the lake—only trees. The listing photos misleadingly make it look as if the house sits directly on the waterfront.We absolutely do not recommend this vacation home.

Noll house vacay

Property was nice. Bedrooms were very comfortable and roomy. The only thing I was disappointed in, the living room sofas were not comfortable to sit in. Almost had to have help to get out of them.

Wonderful vacation!

The home was perfect for our needs and desires. The boys loved the pool table and basement area to hangout. The home was in close proximity to the amenities. The kitchen was stocked to cook which was a bonus. The only issues we had was the dishwasher did not get the dishes clean and the dryer took several cycles to get the towels dry. We would be grateful to stay at the Noll home again.

a bargain at double the price ...

house is old (built circa 1989) but in amazing shape and VERY clean and extremely well managed but property manager. Plenty of activities for kids and adults all within in walking distance !!! Highly recommend it and we will probably go back next year so don't raise the price even though my title says u should 😎...

Perfect Family Getaway

Great House for a family to stay and enjoy the mountains and Rumbling Bald Resort! Very clean and beds are comfy! The downstairs bath is only a half bath and the air hockey table doesn't work :(. Living Room is large and we rearranged the furniture for better TV viewing (TV is not a smart TV). Hall bath has the only Tub/shower combo. Master bath is large with lots of counter space! Loved finding a child's rocking chair and crib in the Master Closet! Would definitely stay again!

Weekend get away with the kids

Rumbling Bald resort was great! Lots to do with the kids at the resort and in the area (indoor pool, miniature golf, beach, hiking, etc). The house has foosball and a dated pool table. The air hockey is broken (severed electrical cord). We did have maintenance issues at check-in but the property manager was very responsive and sent someone out that night. Unfortunately the downstairs was cold and there was no way to make the downstairs warm without making the upstairs way too hot. Would recommend a space heater for the winter months. The house is dated but the photos are accurate. Overall I think the price was fair for what you get and we loved the resort and would come back.
