The views are amazing and we loved listening to the ocean. We had several guests around the complex ask about it too! I will always give this unit and complex 5 stars- we have a truly fantastic time staying here! An updated bathroom with better lighting would be my only suggestion.

First trip to Maui

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Polynesian Shores. We were lucky to stay in unit 101 which is a ground level end unit. We were the closest unit to the ocean. Words can't describe how amazing it was to wake up and see whales and sea turtles from our windows/patio. The condo is as advertised. It had everything we needed to cook meals and plenty of space for 4 adults. The condo was clean upon arrival, and the front staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The resort itself is beautiful. It felt just the right size and the other guests all respected the house rules. It is also in a nice, walkable area close to shops and beaches. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will remember it always!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been to Hawaii 4 times. The stay at Polynesian Shores Resort is the best. We had the ocean front room which is only a few steps from the Shore, although I think every room has an ocean view. Good for snorkeling, just have to careful with the rocks. We saw giant sea turtles a few times. No AC needed at all. So peaceful and exciting at the same time!

Good place to stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stay here because it’s close to family that live on Maui. We’ve stayed in 101 before and not much has changed on the inside. Main bed was comfortable (cal. king turned sideways). The bathroom is very small (not for the big & tall). Waves were really loud because the water is super close. 2nd bedroom was set up with 2 twins. 1 out of 2 kids slept there (other slept on sofa bed in living room). Hall bathroom is small also. Living room was comfortable for 4 people. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you might need. Tight quarters there too. Ground level lanai was awesome to watch the sunsets. BBQ grills were good to use. Pool and spa were nice. Overall, 8/10 stars because the unit needs to be updated/remodeled. Property management is onsite and eager to help if there was problems. Laundry was onsite as well but not in the condo.

The unit doesn't have a/c and it was a little warm at times but being on ground level and sleeping with the windows open made it fine. Loved that their aren't hundreds of condos. Very cozy, family like atmosphere. Only thing I would suggest would be for the pool to stay open at least until 10. By the time we got done with dinner we didn't have much time for an evening swim. Would highly recommend to anyone.

You can't beat the location!

This part of Maui is our favorite and the Polynesian Shores is a gorgeous property! The well tended tropical grounds, the pool and hot tub, and the location of Unit 101 will not disappoint! We traveled with our children ranging in age from 7 to 19, and the property was perfect for us all! You truly can't be closer to the ocean! We wish it had better proximity to a sandy beach, but that is always up to Mother Nature in Maui!

You can walk right out onto the patio and the ocean is right there. The condo was clean and we felt right at home. It had all the amenities we needed. The property itself is gorgeous, and well maintained. I especially loved the torches that were lit every night. The manager(Bree) was great. Her communication was on point. I would definitely recommend Polynesian Shores, and can't wait to come back.

A perfect stay for our family and elderly parents. We enjoyed the most amazing sunsets and view of the ocean. The turtles were there every day feeding on the rocks. The snorkeling was very good too. We had all of the necessities we needed in the condo.
