Magical View

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was located in a wonderful location, with beautiful views and had everything required for an extended stay. The building is very secure with guards in the front lobby. Paul from Captain Cook met us at the condo and gave us the keys with a tour. He also took care of a Cable TV issue immediately by calling the cable company and staying on the phone to make sure everything was taken care of. You can tell he has done this for a long time and is very customer oriented. A grocery store is only 2 blocks away for those of you that enjoy cooking your own meals. Only 2 disappointing items. One cannot be helped by the building. The noise is extremely loud in the condo as we faced Ala Moana Blvd. Especially at night. Sirens, motorcycles, cars, etc. are constant during all hours. Just bring sound deadening earbuds! The second is the bathroom. It is looking very tired. The tub definitely needs replacing along with a general spruce up. If you can overlook a few minor items, you will have a wonderful time staying here.

wonderful view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the perfect place if you want to see bay activities, with a view from the marina all the way up towards Pearl Harbor. Not only do you have a view of the canal entry where the rowers go in, but also the sailboats from the marina, and the large cruise ships and cargo ships leaving and entering near Sand Island.You are blocks away from Ala Moana Shopping mall with very good grocery stores, restaurants and lovely shops, and the city buses stop right in front of Discovery Bay condos.This condo was clean, well taken care of, easy to stay in for our week stay.We hope to come again.

Great view from all wrap around windows!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I definitely recommend this suite, right from entering thru the door you are greeted with ocean views! The Murphy bed is a bonus, there, but out of the way. The bedroom was nice and with just the right amount of breeze when you leave windows open to stopper, usually no need for a/c! The location is just what I need, walking distance to Ala Moana Beach, Ala Wai Canal and shopping! I loved the location of the parking stall as well, right beside the elevator.

Nice condo -good location

Both were taken care of within a few days of our arrival. Really convenient location with small store nearby and Ala Moana less than 10 min walk. There are 3 biki stands within 2 blocks. We use the bikes daily- great way to get around waikiki and even downtown. Nice bbqs on 5th floor are always clean and well maintained. We would be happy to stay here again

Buildings surrounding our condo amplified street noises (sirens, loud motorcyles, protesters). Carpet needed cleaning. Comfortable bed and furniture, well-stocked kitchen, bathroom, closets, variety of useful stuff for beach, barbecue, entertaining, etc. Very nice parking space--close to elevator. Paul Tucker is our best rental manager experience.

Fantastic, location is perfect, property was just as advertised!

We had an awesome stay, the Murphy bed on the lanai worked wonderfully for our 14 year old granddaughter, she had her privacy and we had ours too. The condo is well equipped, everything we needed was available. I enjoy cooking and due to COVID-19 was able to prepare most of our meals “at home” and not have to wait in the long lines for service in restaurants, made visiting our favorite eateries extra special. Should we visit Honolulu in the future, we will definately stay in the special place, close to beach, great pool and hot tub, close to shopping, great parking, I could go on and on….highly recommend this property.

Amazing views of the Ocean

Overall the property was as advertised and the house had something for all age ranges for the beach. It was also very clean and well stocked with all kitchen and bathroom amenities. The property manager wasn't very responsive and made some hostile political comments when checking in that made us very uncomfortable and reluctant to contact him for anything. The day before checking out we tried to contact him in regards to certain items and never heard from him. All in all the place was very nice though and I would definitely book it again if we found ourselves in the same situation.

Awesome Views

The views in the condo are amazing from the moment you check-in to the moment you check-out. If the blinds are open mid afternoon, the unit does get very hot and even the A/C isn't able to keep you cool, so just know that ahead of time. My only complaint comes from the admin office in the other tower, where I was refused the parking pass that comes with the unit. My suggestion, look into the parking pass the moment you arrive so that you have time to work through the kinks with the stubborn admin. Note - the property manager and the office admin are two different people. The Property manager is an awesome guy.

Great place to stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and dishes. The view from the living room window is a spectacular ocean view including Ala Wai Marina and Magic Island. It is centrally located to restaurants, shops, a grocery market, and the Ala Moana Mall. The condo is high enough up that you don't hear traffic noise. It was very quiet for sleeping and the bed is comfortable. We plan to stay in this condo again. Paul the property manager was very helpful and quick to respond to our needs.

Amazing location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is high up overlooking the marina with views of the water activities in the harbor area. Endlessly fascinating. You also see the back high hills of Honolulu. There is a convenient bus stop right in front of the condo complex, making it easy to go wherever you like, with the lovely Ala Moana mall (and new Foodlands grocery store) within easy walking distance, or a short bus ride. Beautiful parks surround this whole area, making walking around a definate pleasure. Perfect location.

Second visit

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time staying at this condo. It was very clean, quiet and has very good views. It looked like the carpet had just been cleaned before our stay. We noted only one issue: there is a suction-cup mounted handle on the wall in the shower/tub area, presumable for people to get extra support from. The first time we stayed here, it fell off the wall when I touched it. this time, it fell off in the middle of the night when we were nowhere near it. this seems like it could be a safety hazard if anyone was really depending on it. It's nice to have the handle there but a more permanent installation would be better and safer.
