Nice comfy unit within walking distance of town centre.Well set up kitchen and living area with plenty of windows for natural light.would like to have stayed longer.

Great tidy, 2 bedroom unit close to shops, park and sea views. Kitchen has everything and wifi works well. Just found the bedrooms a bit dusty. Overall very good.

Great location but property is run down

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fantastic location. Unfortunately the house was very unclean on arrival and is very rundown. Not enough outdoor furniture to eat a meal outside. Rental office is closed on w/ends so couldnt contact staff about cleanliness issue until Monday. Unfortunately a disappointing stay for our family.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have enjoyed another long weekend in the Gippsland Lakes Region at Above Sunset. The property is in a great location. A short stroll down to Sunset Cove and an easy walk into the township. The property has everything needed for a holiday or short stay. There are a couple of maintenance issues that could be tended to, but it didn't stop us from enjoying our stay or affect our views of the property.

So we f you are travelling with older people be aware there is a degree of difficulty The place was clean and had all necessary ammenities Charges are comparable to hotel charges so perhaps better mattresses could be arrangedQuite spot, however main road traffic as it is an entry point into Paynesville

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed a beautiful long weekend away in Paynesville. Above Sunset is the perfect location. A very short walk down to Sunset Cove to watch amazing sunsets, enjoy a swim, a walk or a bbq. The location is peaceful and quiet. Above Sunset has everything you need, including a pretty little water view from the lounge (wasn't expecting that). I especially love the fireplace. This was our second time staying at Above Sunset and we look forward to staying again. The team at Gippsland Lakes Escapes are very helpful and have been very understanding with the multiple changes to booking dates due to covid lockdowns.

Great Place to Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a very comfortable place. It had just about everything we needed. The interior lighting was somewhat poor, esp in the kitchen after dark when it was hard to see. Had to change the globes in the 2nd bedroom as one was blown. It rained for 18 hours without a break at one point so the games provided were very welcome. Would have appreciated more seating & a bigger table by the BBQ. The hot water system died on our last day & the property management team were onto it in a flash. Very impressed. Definitely a great place for young families, especially with the cove nearby

Reviewer Comments: I had much higher expectations of this property, based on description provided and other people's reviews, and the price. Unfortunately it was way below par on most things. Location really is the highlight, as most other people say. The unit does have all the basic stuff and amenities you might need. But for the price you pay, I could not believe how poor the level of cleanliness of the entire place was. Layers of dust on all furniture (i.e. clearly visible with naked eye from a distance), which made it very obvious no one had cleaned the place properly for a really long time, cobwebs in the kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining room, and bedroom. Sand on sofas in the living area. The cherry on top was the blue tongue lizard that we found in the bedroom on the morning after we arrived. We took the poor creature out (have a video of it) to safety which was the most important thing for us, yet I imagine for many people this would have been a complete shock and possibly a bit disgusting. So the place did the job - we had beds that were ok to sleep in, however, can't say we were too comfortable in the place in the time we were there, and for the price charged, this is not a place I would recommend.

Such a shame we didn't have a good weather during our stay, at least it was perfect for the last couple of days to enjoy. The house was nice & clean. Linen was like in a hotel. Couple of negatives. Was very strange, now days, to find out there were no WI-FI at all. Internet connection's really bad in the area, even on a mob. At least it was a good collection of DVDsCould be nice to have better pots & pans, utensils; plain mixing bowls. But overall we enjoyed it.

Comfortable and clean.

Location is great if you want to do walks along a nice long walking track, right on the waters edge. Also great spot to swim and for kids in the play ground. All only 2 min walk from your door. The unit was clean, open and the bread and milk provided was much appreciated, thank you. Comfy couches and beds, all the bits and pieces that you need provided. Thanks for a great stay.
