La ubicación: esta unidad se encuentra al otro lado de la carretera de la hermosa playa de Shoal Bay, con aguas cristalinas y arenas blancas, es el destino de vacaciones más idílico para cualquiera que busque belleza, serenidad o aventura. Shoal Bay, sin duda, sería una de las ciudades costeras más bonitas de Australia y tiene mucho que ofrecer. La playa ofrece una excelente natación y se pueden alquilar kayaks y tablas de paddle surf (abierto todos los días durante las temporadas altas de vacaciones escolares, fines de semana largos y Semana Santa). Solo una caminata de 700 metros lo lleva a la animada zona de Shoal Bay, donde encontrará una deliciosa variedad de lugares para comer y beber, además de una selección de tiendas. Continuando hacia el extremo oriental de la bahía se encuentra el magnífico Parque Nacional Tomaree con espectaculares vistas desde la cima de la montaña Tomaree. También hay muchas pistas para caminar y andar en bicicleta y solo a 5 minutos en automóvil te lleva a Nelson Bay. 

La unidad: situada en la parte delantera del complejo con vistas perfectas de la playa de Shoal Bay, vistas infinitas, hermosa serenidad y una bahía azul brillante con una playa de arena al otro lado de la carretera. Con vistas al agua desde todas las habitaciones, hay una sala de estar de planta abierta con TV de pantalla plana (no se muestra en las imágenes) y un reproductor de DVD, además de un comedor y una cocina equipada con horno, placa de cocina, microondas y nevera completa. La unidad ofrece un pequeño balcón encubierto con una mesa y sillas con vista a la playa y al océano.  El dormitorio principal tiene una cama queen y vistas panorámicas al agua desde ambas ventanas, con una cama doble y una litera en el segundo dormitorio. El baño está equipado con una ducha de cristal, tocador y aseo.

Hay una lavandería compartida en el complejo con una lavadora de carga superior que funciona con monedas, que conduce a un área comunitaria con césped y tendedero. La unidad proporciona un estacionamiento cubierto para su vehículo.

Really Disappointed !

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is just too old, its dark, stuffy not pleasant and over all not clean. Furnishings all too old, carpet is stained, there is blankets, old light fittings full of dust, cushions etc stuffed in wardrobes, fans full of rust, no aircon, doonas/quilts where not nice, bought my own, broken bath rails sticky taped together, terrible dining table and chairs, crockery is all oddments, wardrobe backings are falling off, holes in curtains, no dishwasher, no kitchen linen or detergent, lounge is smelly, no radio, no fly screens I could go on. Disappointed I should have read reviews.

Great location but very unhygienic apartment

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The apartment was in great location with ocean view, however very pricey for the condition it was in. The carpet was filthy and bed were squeaky. The furniture in the apartment were so old that it could have been acquired from council pick up. We spent most of the time outside the apartment due to its poorly kept condition.

Excellent Location Only

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The best part of our stay in Shoal Bay was the Gorgeous View from our Accommodation. However, The property needs a major clean and overhaul! The whole property is very dusty, Very dirty & smelt awful, carpet is filthy & damp, spider cobwebs everywhere, rain poured into the lobby through the cracks above the side window and above the sidling door. The Bathroom window-screen is full of dirt/dust. My kids refused to sleep on the bunks in fear it was going to collapse, it is very unstable & squeaky! The closets had used unfolded blankets & pillows in them, the cushions on the beds and lounge were dam & mouldy, the lounge suite, smelt awful too!! Sadly this is the worse accommodation we've ever stayed in. Would not recommend this property to anyone

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good location & well-equipped but cleanliness below standard. Unsightly mould present on bottom of middle shower door; also on grout in shower. Dust behind toilet has not been mopped; also window very dusty & cobwebs. Bedside tables had dust & remains of spilt liquid. Glass tables in living area had fingerprints & spilt liquid & had not been wiped. Also railings below the glass have considerable dust. Dinner plate left outside under table. One main bedroom window could not be opened; no flyscreen on lounge balcony door. Sufficient kitchen items however oily marks on some cups & plates. Scatter cushions dirty. Outside, balcony floor needs painting & building in general needs a makeover. Surrounding units of similar age appear better looked-after. After I paid my deposit there was no email or confirmation until I called 2 days later.

Don't Risk Your Health for the View

The pervading smell of urine, disgustingly dirty carpets, pillows and fans, and black mould and green slime in the shower - all this discovered in the most cursory of inspections. This awaited us as we arrived for a romantic Valentines Day weekend. Who takes responsibility for this? It is a health and safety issue the owner has allowed to happen, and given that many of these issue are long term where does the responsibility of the letting agent lay? We selected this apartment because it was in the quieter "no through road" section of Shoal Bay Road, it was absolute waterfront with 180 degree water views and you can hear the waves lapping as you go to sleep. The disgusting situation we encountered certainly broke the romantic weekend experience. The agent offered us various alternatives but none came close to offering the fundamentals we had selected as our reason to come to Shoal Bay - so we ended up in a soulless 8th floor apartment, over 100 metres from the beach with the drone of air-conditioning systems on the adjacent building replacing the lapping of waves - Happy Valentines Day dear.

The property was fine quite comfortable however getting access to the key was a real challenge

Great place comfortable but having to drive 15klms to put the key back was an issue. When returning the key there were 5 other groups in the same situation all stating they would not stay with this lot again. It was only the key return that put them off. Anyway not sure if we would go the same way again even though our accommodation was good.
