Perfect House with sunset views

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a quiet neighborhood, directly on a water. Perfect for kayaking (kayak included with rental). Spacious, clean, wel equipped kitchen, just bring your spices. There is a bike/walking path directly in front of the house perfect for walking dogs enjoying the view. There is one TV but no cable connection but you can use your own accounts (Netflix, Hulu, Max etc). WiFi is fast. Our dog enjoyed fenced in backyard. The best thing is the breathing sunsets we loved every night. It is our third time in this house and definitely not the last. The Beach Realty company were quick to respond with questions and concerns. Highly recommended.

I wish for more stable, larger pavers in the back of the house before climbing the steps. I think this fix would help prevent falls.

Coffee at sun-up on the porch overlooking the Sound, and the sound of the crickets and sea bird to greet the spectacular sunsets every day ... these will stay in my mind for sometime. Nice fenced yard for the pups made mornings easy, too. Very comfortable layout, loved the kitchen and the open floor plan highlighting the view over the Sound. We also appreciated the kayak, and the proximity to two great bike shops for bike rentals. Short drive to area beaches, too. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Bayside OBX trip!

We had our annual family vacation to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed this home! Some of the photos made the home seem like it might be a little dated but it was very nice inside and looked much newer. The kitchen was well stocked with items for use, dishwasher and laundry machines worked well! We didn’t use any of the beach items or kayaks since we had our own but would’ve been nice had we not had anything. Being on the water was great and the sunset views are spectacular!! Even nicer, not shown or listed (unless I just missed it) was the garage space - we were able to open the garage doors to pull our vehicles in for when there was rain/storms - loved that!! Would come back to stay again

Beautiful on the sound

Ideal location close to everything. Rooms are well set up and spacious. Bathrooms are a decent size. Ample parking and garage area. Our dogs loved the backyard and enjoyed swimming in the sound. We enjoyed spending the evenings sitting on the deck, watching the water and the ospreys flying around.

Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sunset Joy was the perfect location. Off of the busy HWY 12 and in a quiet neighborhood. Only suggestions we have are new shower curtains as they had some mildew on them, trimming back the bush at the end of the driveway, a little difficult to see people in the walking path and in the way backing into the driveway, and then replacing the last step going into the water, with it gone it is a long step down and the stair stringer is still exposed. Overall we had a great experience though and would consider this as a rental again.

Week in May

The back deck was the star of this house as we spent many evenings watching the setting sun over the back bay/sound. Osprey nesting just off the sea wall gave us a nice connection to our surroundings. Walks along Bay Drive were full of birds and soft breeze. The house was very clean, and functional. For most part is well represented by pictures. Couches were not as seen in pictures. They were covered and was a bit disappointing. Neighbor to south is pretty close but since never home it was quiet. If they are there, then privacy on back deck would be mixed. They have pool and seem set up for some outside entertaining (they also had the house power washed, a 4 hr. ordeal at 6pm Friday eve). Kitchen was fully equipped (though the toaster needs some attention). Just the two of us so the size of the house was very comfortable. Easy to find and close to grocery store and the main drag to all the restaurants. Main Bedroom was ample sized, bed comfortable, shower strong with plenty of hot water. Altogether it is a quiet area. Interior of house is very tidy and while simple in design, not boring or austere. Lots of windows, natural light, super views out on the sound/bay. Would go back again, and this time of year was ideal. Air and weather were perfect.

My only suggestions, ones I’ve made each time we stay here and we’ve stayed several times are:1. Please get bath mats for the showers. They’re slick and someone is going to fall. We bought one the first time we came and bring it with us every time we return.2. Also a cheese grater would be very welcome in the kitchen. Not an huge item, but a kitchen necessity. Again we bring our own every time.

The photos are exactly how the home is. It was well appointed and very comfortable. The views were great and at the beginning of November very quiet and restful. The sunsets were spectacular! There were a couple of issues with the housekeeping but a text message to Beach Realty solved the issue immediately. Beach Realty was fantastic by the way. I encourage you to make your journey to this lovely home on the sound with spectacular views!

Very impressed with the cleanliness of the property inside and out. Beautiful view of the water from the deck and full view from inside the house. Felt like home. Convenient to everything. Great neighborhood to take walks in. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful Sunsets, but spiders

Given good weather, the sunsets were beautiful out over a great view of the sound. The house was clean, with newer finishings and construction. The only issue we had were the number of spiders outside and inside the property. We were not sure how they were getting in, but we ended up killing 28 spiders during our stay - mostly small, spindly types.
