Welcome to Whalebone Ocean Cottages 3 Bedroom Oceanfront Cottage!

Located in south Nags Head at milepost 16.5, this contemporary 3-bedroom oceanside cottage is sure to please; with 2 Queen bedrooms and a bedroom with a Twin over Full bunk bed for accommodations for up to 8 guests. The oceanside cottage is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen for cooking when you aren't going to the many nearby restaurants.

All of the cottages feature the KEES standard amenity package including soap amenity dispensers, K-Cup coffee makers, high-quality linens and bath towels, and free Wi-Fi access. Take advantage of the KEES Flex-Stay System where there are no check-in day restrictions or mandatory 7-night minimums. Whether you want to take a dip in the custom concrete pool, grill out with family and friends, or step out onto the beach, Whalebone Cottage Court offers it all!

This property has 2 parking spots for guests.

**Private outdoor community pools and/or waterpark play areas are available, weather permitting, beginning on Memorial Day and close after Labor Day. Please know that pool operating dates are subject to change at any point, for any reason.**

We stayed with our family and it accommodated all of us very well. The location was wonderful and the beach view sensational.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was clean, and communication with management was effective and smooth. I gave a four star rating due to the unit not having laundry on site.

Mother's Day Getaway

This place was absolutely perfect!! The location was wonderful and close to everything. This was the first time I had ever rented from Kees and VRBO and I was very pleased with all of it. We will definitely be staying here again. The kids loved being so close to the beach and pool.

Enjoyed our stay!

Very convenient location to beach and pool access. Kitchen was equipped with pretty much everything we needed and was nice and clean. Only complaint would be needed to have more towels for showering and more garbage bags. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Whalebone Cottages

The pool was what attracted us, but it was empty and filled with filth, clearly neglected and in disrepair. We felt cheated. This set the tone for our stay, having been misled. There were NO kitchen condiments or coffee, not even salt and pepper. The entry door was filthy. We did enjoy our stay in OBX and the beach was nice.

Lovely visit to Nags Head

We stayed at Whalebone Cottage C and it was great. Because it’s very early in the season we had the area to ourselves. It was super easy to walk down to the beach, just steps away. The view from the deck was OK, but the sand dune was pretty tall, still really nice though. The upstairs bedrooms had the best view over the dunes. It was about a 40 minute walk down the beach to the pier where there was a little fish and beer place. Awesome .20 shrimp happy hour. We’d stay there again.

Great last minute booking!

Loved the facilities. So close to the beach and the pool was wonderful. There were a few issues that we had, 2/3 were clogged and we called to put an order in to get it fixed but we never heard anything. Luckily we were able to grab the maintenance man when he was going to another cottage and he was so kind and able to assist us right then and there! Great place, just as advertised.

The house was located perfectly and such an easy trip to the beach. The house is cozy with a nice setup for families. Couches were not comfortable and needed to be cleaned. I should have read the contract more in depth. There are no beach towels, chairs, no cooking supplies or spices left over whatsoever. Bring absolutely everything spice wise or plan a trip to the store. You'll also need to bring paper towels and toilet paper as you get one roll per bathroom. The breaker in the main bedroom tripped several times. You cannot charge phones or any device in the outlets in the bedroom or they'll trip it. In addition there is no laundry in the house so bring extra clothes or go to a local laundromat. Also I would suggest you bring extra garbage bags as they don't supply more than the one. All this said the location and ease of the property were great. We met the property manager and she was delightful and helpful.

Well i did do this already so im not sure why its asking again for another review. The stay was amazing... great property and great location! The place seemed new and everything was very clean and updated. We'd recommend and surely stay again!
