Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi password that was advertised in the email - did not work. I called the office and the lady told me that our college did not have Wi-Fi. That was clearly incorrect because there was a Wi-Fi box in the cottage.

Overall ok experience but cleanliness was horrible

The front and back porch was infested with bug feces And had huge spiders that could walk off with your luggage. They both needed a good power wash. The windows outside and inside were filthy and had dead bugs on the seals. There was a boys undershorts by the back porch and a hairbrush full of someone’s hair in the one bathroom drawers. This place obviously was not cleaned thoroughly.

Wonderful Inside, Outside was something different

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved the house but it was not worth what was paid for 3 nights. Although i understand the area has bugs and spider, i think it would have been helpful to know that the property was infested with bugs.And because of this we could not seat out on the decks nor could we cook on the grill. We had two rentals and neither grill worked and when we tried lighting the grill two people got stung by hornets. We also had a nest on the front porch and the night we arrived we have to fight them off to get in the house with our groceries. After this the kids really had not desire to go outside on the porch of the property. As i said i loved the inside of the property and i know there is only so much that can be done with the bugs but maybe having the homes power washed before guests move in is a good idea.

Cute and convenient

The property was well located, easy drive to Duck, Corolla, and other islands. Family enjoyed the large pool and staff very friendly. Cottage was cozy, clean and better than we imagine.

Frustrating

When we arrived, there was no running water. Talked to emergency help line at property management company for hours with now one available to help. Their reply, we are just the messengers. After two days, and many hours on the phone, while at the beach, they finally sent a plumber who fixed the problem. They did offer to let us out of the lease so we could just go home. Also, there was no place to put our garbage. Instead of wasting our time looking for a dump, we let it pile up in the kitchen and porch. Customer service was awful. They never called us back when they said they would. Will not stay at places managed by Kitty Hawk Rentals again.

Kilmarlic Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is quite nice, spacious, and well-decorated. It was clean when we arrived and had a fully-stocked kitchen. We were glad to have the small front porch, the larger back deck, and the putting green and seating area between the cottages. However, it was hard to reach anyone in the property management office and there was little to no information in the house itself. For example, we were not able to find the WiFi password (eventually got it by calling the service department, when we couldn't reach the property management folks). Also, there was no information on where to empty our trash, and it took 3 phone calls to find that out. Also, the pre-arrival information indicated that there would be kitchen towels, but there were none. We requested some and were told housekeeping would bring them over, but they never arrived. If they are not customary, then the pre-arrival information should be updated. Finally, I will note that my daughter found the mattresses extremely uncomfortable. I thought they were adequate -- not great but not horrible.

It will be nice if at least provide some essential items like laundry detergent, dish detergent, dish scrub, paper towels, extra roll of bathroom tissue and hair dryer, etc.Also during our stay, the owner wasn't aware the property was already rent out. We went out for golfing and our 20 yr old son was left behind doing his school project. Owner walked in with suitcase and surprised my son. He then apologize and left. I wish there was a better communication between the owner and the property management company.

Spacious Little Cottage

It had plenty of kitchen utensils so that we were able to cook and grill. It's location was a bit further from the beach, but you won't find a more quiet area than this! It was perfect for our needs!

Overall, it was a nice experience, however, I had to call to figure out how to get the WIFI to work. Also, the bedroom TVs weren’t working, but I was able to call to correct that as well.

Great place and location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience overall with this property! In our group we had 12 adults and knew going in that we would have to share beds. We did not find the sheets to be scratchy and all slept well. The house was spotless and very comfortable and nice. You honestly cannot beat the location and the area is nice and the accommodations like the pool and fitness center are a major plus. It's true that the Wifi does not work very well and we just ended up using a hot spot and the TV is a little difficult to figure out. The house does not have towel racks which is a minor inconvenience and the trash can in the kitchen is very small so I would recommend bringing trash bags. If you plan on having a larger group, you will definitely want to bring laundry detergent, dish washer detergent, and toilet paper/paper towels and maybe some extra dishes (we just used paper plates)the property did have pans and cookie sheets and utensils for cooking. The back deck is really nice and we did use the grill one night which was great! There is plenty of room for parking (we had 4 cars) and beach access is less than 15 minutes away and we were able to find free parking each day. I would definitely stay here again!

Bubba Watson House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house and neighborhood are really cute and relaxing. The house was definitely lacking in some home comforts that will perhaps be added/changed as there are more renters. There are no towel racks or hooks in any bathrooms, seems like this was overlooked, but definitely an annoyance. The sheets are very scratchy and I would highly recommend bringing your own from home. I ended up sleeping on top of the comforter with a soft blanket. The kitchen is equipped with basic essentials, but doesn’t have the variety of pan sizes, strainer etc that Airbnb’s do. I found it interesting that the house “sleeps 12” but the dining room table only sits 4. There is no way 12 adults would fit comfortably in this home, I would say 4 is the max or a small family. Our WiFi signal was so weak that it didn’t work. Did all the standards of restarting etc but it never was strong. Not a huge issue since we wanted to be disconnected but would be a big problem if someone needed to get work done using WiFi or kids wanting to use it for tablets. Also, the address provided does not register on GPS because the development is so new, this is fine however the agents should automatically provide written directions especially since not everyone uses gps. Hopefully the small things of comfort can be updated/added and it will make this rental much more desirable.
