Great Palm Beach Condo

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Desert Rose condo in Palm Springs. J'ai was very helpful and met all our needs. The location was terrific and the complex was clean and well cared for - as was the apartment itself. All the comforts of home. We will definitely be back!

Our home away from home in Palm Springs

This is the second time we have stayed at this wonderful Condo. A great location in Palm Springs with secure covered parking and a pool just steps away from the unit. (Hardly anyone else used). Very nicely appointed two bedroom/bath with a great kitchen.

A wonderful month at the Desert Rose

My husband and I were very happy staying at the Desert Rose Condo. It was a great location for us. Walking distance to many attractions, stores and restaurants. Fairly quiet with a great view of the mountains. Well maintained property. Hardly anyone used the pool in the courtyard next to unit so we felt like it was our own private pool. Well appointed condo with comfortable beds. We will be back.

Didn’t need or want for a thing!

Didn’t need or want for a thing during our stay. Morning coffee in the sun on the front balcony, plenty of pool supplies (large towels, plastic cups, etc.), and a comfortable livingroom space to relax in during the evenings. The unit & the complex were clean and very well maintained. J’ai was helpful & accessible before, during and after our stay. We will be back!

Hi Edith, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I'm sorry to hear that you had anything less than a wonderful experience. I agree that technology can be challenging - whatever happened to the good ol' days when you just turned on the TV and that was it? Now, we have remotes for everything; TV's, lights, ceiling fans. The Welcome Book has descriptions and instructions for each. And although we do not provide a computer, we do have high-speed internet that makes using your personal devices fast and easy. Thank you again for choosing The Desert Rose for your vacation. Please keep us in mind again.

Spacious & comfortable

We rented J'ai's condo for the month of Jan/2018. Very comfortable furniture and a nice big kitchen to cook all our meals in. There were lots of dishes & cutlery to cook with. Bedrooms have lots of space, but we did find the traffic noise on South Palm Drive made it hard to keep the windows open at night. We really enjoyed the big center pool as it was never very busy and is such a nice size for swimming.

The superlatives are warranted

This is a lovely property.My only disagreement with the excellent reviews is with those who talk about an easy walk to downtown. It is not an easy walk.We did it twice and it took us 45 minutes one way.In the heat,that's an enervating experience.

Barry, you're right, we should qualify the walking distance to downtown, 25 min fast/exercise walk vs. 45 min casual walk compounded by the heat. And also put the caveat that when hot, walks should be in the early morning! So glad you enjoyed your stay. Happy New Year!!

From start to finish the communication process with J'ai was timely and very informative. All questions answered in a timely fashion and also the information binder for the property was quite helpful. The condo was spotless, one of the best ones we've stayed at in Palm Springs. Fully stocked with everything you need. The Sandstone complex is very quiet and very well maintained, pools and grounds well kept! Met many other friendly individuals in the complex. Also location of the Sandstone Villas has easy access to many valley activities. Thanks J'ai!

Perfect Location to Rediscover Palm Springs

My friend and I were searching for a place to celebrate our 60th birthdays and our 40 years of friendship. Since I lived on Vancouver Island and she in Manitoba we decided Palm Springs was the place. I began searching for a condo unit with two equal sized bedrooms that each had it’s own bathroom. No flipping of coins to see who ended up with the tiny bedroom. J’ai’s condo was perfect in that regard. The entire condo was lovely. It was clean, had a very well appointed kitchen, nice furniture and comfortable beds. It was also in a great location with good parking. Lastly, thank you J’ai for the birthday vino and treats. How did you know that I can’t go a day without chocolate?

Lovely condo

This is a beautifully kept condo in a great neighbourhood. The home was spotless, comfortable and in a very convenient location. The grounds are very attractive and the pools are well-heated with lots of deck chairs available. J’ai was thoughtful (she left us a generous welcome basket) and always available. We had no issues with anything in the apartment. Our visit was cut short by the Covid-19 crisis which was a great disappointment, but we look forward to staying here again the next time we’re in Palm Springs. Palm Springs Adventure

The condo was exactly as pictured. It was the best equipped one we have ever rented. Everything was provided- including a yummy welcome basket , coffee, spices, some condiments, laundry soap, shampoos and lotions, an abundance of towels, and even a pool noodle! J’ai was responsive to any questions or problems. The bedrooms are near a busy street so you might need a small fan if that bothers you. The complex is well cared for and very quiet. The pools were clean and we enjoyed them . This is a great place to stay.

Beautiful condo and Palm Springs.

Our stay was very comfortable. Condo looked just like the Homeaway site. It was clean and conveniently located. Outside grounds were well taken care. Never got to use the pools due to the cool weather but looked lovely. Only thing we had trouble w was the tv. New tv and new remote. Had difficulty figuring it out. All in all it was a nice visit to Palm Springs. Thank you.

2nd time just as good as the first

This was my second time renting this home. I really really enjoy this property. Spotless condo with upscale furnishings and design. All the necessary items within reach. Great welcome basket with goodies ! Sandstone Villas is a hidden gem in one of the most wonderful neighborhoods (The Mesa) of Palm Springs. Features multiple pools, barbeques, gym, game room etc., etc.. This is my favorite condo that I have rented throughout the years (including many in this complex) and I will be back again!

Relaxing Stay

We want to thank J’ai for making our stay in her condo so lovely. The condo was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed with really nice linens. Bathrooms were spotless with fresh plush towels. A lovely gift basket with a bottle of wine and snacks was a special welcoming surprise. J’ai was available for a few questions we had, and was most accommodating in every way. We enjoyed the quiet complex and clean pool area. We would recommend this condo, and we hope to stay again. The location was near down town Palm Springs. Thank you for the details making this a great place.

Upscale Boutique Condo in Prime Location

I have rented many condos in the wonderful Sandstone Villas complex in South Palm Springs and this is by far my favorite! This is definitely the nicest one - very chic with beautiful furnishings and nice touches throughout (the leather chaise in living room is THE spot to watch t.v). I loved the amazingly comfortable beds, the stunning head on mountain views from the rear deck (which is where I enjoyed my morning coffee everyday!) - there is also a very comfortable front patio deck with chairs and ottomans to relax there as well! ALL the thoughtful touches such as L'Occitane toiletries, plush towels, spices (including sugar for that first morning coffee!) to cook with if you so desire, a wonderful 'welcome' basket upon arrival, pool toys, house slippers........and the list goes on. This truly was a 'home away from home' experience. I lacked for nothing. This condo as I stated in the title, is a very upscale boutique experience - a spotless, peaceful welcoming retreat. I hope to use this one on all my future visits to Palm Springs if it is available!!!! Sandstone Villas is a hidden gem in the South Palm Springs area......across from the Mesa neighborhood, it features four pools, tennis courts, billiard room, a gym - a very peaceful and private condo complex. I highly recommend this condo and complex!!!

From the moment we entered the door to. this property we new it was special. The only thing asked of us by J'ai was that we treat her home as if it were our home. From the bottle of champagne, to the crackers and cheese, some bottles of water and a kitchen that had everything that was needed for comfort and convenience. The information book about Palm Springs and area was very useful and totally informative. We will definitely tell our friends and acquaintances about this gorgeous property and all of the amenities. We really enjoyed Netflix is and the chance to enjoy a nice movie at the end of the day. We only had one small problem in the eleven days we stayed and J'ai had a friend come over and help us out. J'ai, thank you and we can.'t recommend your home highly enough to do it justice.

This condo is very nicely updated, clean, and conveniently located in Palm Springs

We stayed in this condo for about 6 weeks and were very pleased with everything about it. The location is convenient to stores and restaurants and nearly everything else in Palm Springs area. The condo is very clean and beautifully updated with a modern kitchen, including everything you would need to cook at "home". There are many amenities as well - 4 pools, a rec room, laundry, etc. And a gorgeous view of the mountains. The owners are very nice and were a delight to work with.

Top Notch

We arrived and everything was great from the start. The owner had left us a welcome basket with some essentials which was a nice touch. The property was immaculate. The home itself was very nice...updated, clean, and comfortable. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen as we made most of our own meals on vacation. The actual location was great! It was quiet, close to both the tourist filled downtown and the easy to reach areas that had groceries and felt more mellow. Our kids loved the heated pool and even though it was late December, the weather was comfortable. Great spot!

A very comfortable well equipped condo!

Our first trip to the desert after many years of dreaming of warm dry weather in December, coming from rain soaked Vancouver. We were delighted with "The Desert Rose" . Very attractive decorating ,comfortable and exceptionally well equipped. Loved the golf at Indian Canyons, hiking nearby at Indian Canyon, and Joshua Tree. We enjoyed some home cooking at Elmers, nearby. Excellent coffee at "Koffi"

Just like home..... :)

What an absolute gem of a place. We absolutely loved our time in your home. It's definitely a home from home. I wish we didn't have to leave. Palm Springs is my most favourite place on earth and made even more enjoyable having such a beautiful condo to stay in. Lovely neighbours too. I really hope you will let us stay again. Thank you for the champagne as well, just what we needed after our long drive from Vegas. Thank you for being such an amazing host! :)

I travel a lot and can really appreciate the feeling of just a bit of home, so I am thrilled that you felt comfortable and relaxed. Please do make our home your Palm Springs home away from home!
