Highly recommend!

My wife and I wanted to avoid hotels and find a "place of our own" for a few days in the mountains between Cherokee and Asheville. Diannah's place couldn't have been more perfect for our needs! She met us when we arrived. Made us feel very welcomed. Everything was prepared and clean. She even had freshly ground coffee, cream, sugar and a few things in the refrigerator which was a welcome touch for the mornings. Honestly, nothing could have been better for our stay. If we're back in the area we'll definitely check with her for availability. Thanks, Diannah!

We absolutely loved our time here! Diannah was a wonderful person and very easy to work with. It was very peaceful and the apartment was beautiful. It had everything you needed and more! Waynesville is a great city if you want to explore. There is also a very nice grocery store not far from here if you want to eat in. I would recommend this apartment to anyone!

Had a great time, Diannah was the perfect host. The property was well maintained and beautiful, the studio we stayed in was on the upper level instead of the lower and was an upgrade as she was doing work on the other and she kept it at the same price.Everything was clean and very nice. Loved the deck for sitting outside and listening to the birds,at night we watched the lightning bugs which I haven’t seen in years. Overall a great trip Thank You and we will be back.

Great Place for a getaway

Loved my stay in Waynesville. Diannah was a wonderful host and provided everything we needed while we were there. Property was beautiful and peaceful as well. The apartment was well appointed. Comfy bed and well supplied kitchen. Great location, minutes away from Downtown Waynesville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. May come back in the spring.

Hidden Heaven

Hello Future Travelers, My stay here was just what I needed. Quiet, peaceful, comfy bed, etc. My need is to be away from the hustle and bustle of the world & I found it here. The leaves were just peeking to come into full color (beautiful). I watched the bird feeders feed a number of birds. Sat and read a book, napped, read some more. Yes, for my needs it was just what the doctor ordered. The person who owns this studio apartment was wonderfully helpful to me while I was there with help with directions, conversation, etc. Yes, I would return here.

Second honeymoon hideaway

Diannah is an amazing hostess. She made us feel so welcome. The apartment is lovely and very comfortable. She has thought of everything you would need to feel at home. Including teas, coffee, fruit & a loaf of.homemade bread! It is a gorgeous, serene site but also convenient to many attractions. We can't wait for our next visit.

Wonderful Getaway!!!

Diannah is amazing. This place feels like it is away from the hustle and bustle but is close enough to enjoy downtown or Cherokee. It has the most amazing feeling. My husband and I will definitely be back.

Very accomodating

Stayed over Thanksgiving weekend while visiting with friends and family. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed and more. Diannah is an excellent host who made sure we had everything we needed and provided fruits and snacks which was fantastic. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Peaceful, clean place to stay

This VRBO is the lower level of a two-story house. The owner did an excellent job of preparing for our stay & of structuring our visit. The rooms are clean and comfortable. A few fruits and snacks were provided. Parking is right beside the door. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, coffee maker, refrigerator, etc. Internet service is good. The dwelling is literally in the woods and a walk at this time of year is refreshing. The only negative is that there is no cable or antenna. There is a TV but only DVDs can be watched.

Wonderful place, wonderful host.

This place was perfect. Extremely clean, all the comforts of home. Our wonderful host even had organic coffee, home made muffins and snacks for us. She discovered we were spreading ashes for a loved one and we arrived to find a very heartfelt card and note in our room. The atmosphere is so private and beautiful. Diannah even stayed up till midnight to make sure we were welcomed properly and made to feel at home. Cannot say enough good things or recommend this lovely place any better. Thank you Diannah!

This mountain home that I have called home for more 25 years now has been my sanctuary and art studio all these years. It has gone through many transformations. In the beginning, I lived upstairs and had my art studio in the apartment below the house - which is the studio apartment that I have recently made ready for guests.
I have always had a love for nature and it has been a source of inspiration of the artwork that I have produced throughout my live here in Balsam. The studio apartment was always my favorite space to create, and now it has become a guest house that I am both happy and proud to share with travelers from near and far.
