Long weekend

We love the spacious place and the close proximity to the beach, and parking in front. We enjoyed it a lot. A few things that could make the stay even better: better kitchen extras, e.g. spices oil and other common use items. Also beach towels would have been nice. The old electric outlet was a challenge for our electronics.Overall, great place and location!

Due to skyrocketing rental prices I decided to rent an Atlantic Breeze apartment for the brief stay this past week.Other reviews stated very clean/great location but little outdated (carpet/furniture).i’m not big on fancy anyway but “clean” reviews were a must. My family loved Atlantic Breeze. The previous reviews were correct. I hesitate giving a good review because the underated rental will become to popular. Lol

"Summer" vacation

The location is amazing, the building is cool, and the AC ran cold.Unfortunately there was a dog in the space next to us that drove us crazy and we called the emergency number but it still went on for a few more days. Days Inn is a bit of a drive for the pool, would have been cool if the pool was one of the closer 3, but still nice.

Unclean condition

Great location…. HOWEVER Upon arriving and opening the door I was immediately greeted with a sickening smell of mildew and smoke. The carpets were stained in several places. The bathroom was far from clean and the shower curtain was black from mildew. The kitchen was not cleaned and the appliances were not usable unless scrubbed first, as they were caked in old food residue and sticky debris. When I opened the cabinets under the counter, I had to kill cockroaches and found several dead ones there. Utensils and plates had to be washed in order to be used. The sheets were stained and smelled. I HAD TO CLEAN MYSELF AND SPRAY AN ABUNDANCE OF AIR FRESHENER TO MAKE IT BEARABLE. I immediately messaged the property manager upon arrival and told him all of my findings and concerns and to see if we could be placed in another property. I have not been answered to this day and also never received a call back from Jekyll Realty. It is not acceptable that I was charged a cleaning fee for a place that was not clean and had to be cleaned to be bearable….. I DO NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS THESE ISSUES ARE ADDRESSED AND RESOLVED

May 2023 Stay

Our stay here was pretty horrible. We came from Alabama with small children hoping to enjoy the beach. But found that there was NO hot water. I called the maintenance (emergency) line. The man (Tom) was nice, but there was no solution. The hot water heater was broken. At first we were told that we could go to unit 8 to use the showers, but found the note on the door saying that unit 8 had NO water at all. We could tell that plumbing was done before we came because when first turning on the kitchen sink, the water was brownish yellow… on a hot weekend, this could have been a minor inconvenience, but with the cool weather and no hot water, it equals sick children. We were washing our kids with cloth rags and hair in the sink… For the amount of money we paid for this stay, this was absolutely horrible! 1 star because there is not an option for none.

Better than expected!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Atlantic Breeze #6. The unit has been painted and furniture has been updated since the pictures of the listing were taken. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of pots and pans, cookie sheets, silverware, dishes and more. A coffee maker and a keurig were both included in the kitchen as well! The couches were extremely comfortable and the selection of furniture and side tables were a nice touch. We enjoyed the private balcony with a beautiful view of the trees and even could see a bit of ocean through them! The master bedroom mattress was extremely comfortable and my husband and I slept great all week. The bathroom was very nice and the tile has been painted white for a little update. The shower was a little confusing to operate the knobs, but we got the hang of it after a couple tries. Hot water is HOT, which is a huge plus. The unit is within walking distance to the beach and the sidewalk to the beach access is gorgeous.

We enjoyed sitting on the covered patio watching the deer come up to eat. The walk to the beach is nice and paved sidewalk made it so much easier to get down to the ocean view. I would absolutely recommend this place. Very relaxing & fun atmosphere. 100% would come back again.

Great location, needs a lot of updates and a deep clean

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is really great. It's on the quiet end of the island, away from things, but not too far out. The beach is a short walk away. If you are looking for a pool, this isn't the place because there isn't one (you have to go to the Days Inn to use theirs.) Our A/C broke on the first day. The management company was very responsive in getting it fixed for us the same day.The condo is in need of some major renovation. The bathroom is in poor condition. The tub is old and past being able to look clean, and the fixtures are rusting and flaking small metal pieces. The cabinets and counters are probably original to when it was built, and they show their age. The furnishings are clearly from a garage or estate sale and show a lot of wear. I was not impressed with the condo cleanliness. It's clear that a surface cleaning is the only cleaning that's been done to this place in a long time. The carpet desperately needs to be cleaned, if not replaced. My socks were black from walking around it. We found toenail clippings in the bathroom rug. The tub didn't look like it had been cleaned with cleaner in a while. The bedding that was provided was dirty (and given the small washer in the unit, I doubt ever actually washed). I found BLOOD on the bed skirt in the second bedroom. (And, sidenote, I also found blood stains on the sheets from the suggested linen rental company - just bring your own stuff.)It's a shame because the location and layout of this condo are perfect. With a little TLC and some investments into renovations, it would be a great little condo.
