Esta casa fue diseñada por el arquitecto hawaiano Thomas Bingham (un protegido de Frank Lloyd Wright) para la vida interior y exterior y el entretenimiento. Cuenta con 5 habitaciones, cada una con baño privado, la suite principal disfruta de total privacidad en su propio piso. La terraza en voladizo se extiende sobre la piscina de agua salada y la terraza de nivel inferior que ofrece impresionantes vistas del campo de golf y el océano con espectaculares puestas de sol nocturnas. Para los cocineros hay una barbacoa de gas al aire libre y un bar con fregadero, cocina gourmet con 2 refrigeradores, 2 lavavajillas y máquina de hielo. (Para los no cocineros hay varios restaurantes a pocos minutos de la casa). ¡La casa se encuentra dentro de las puertas privadas del Mauna Kea Resort!

Vacation at the Magnificent Mauna Kea Home

House was outstanding. It was all that it was advertised to be. The house was outfitted more upon arrival than most places we have stayed. The property manager was excellent! Would stay there again and recommend it to anyone who is considering renting it for a stay on the Big Island.

Family stay at the Mauna Kea - such a treat! The house is fabulous, and the management team are excellent. The resort is going thru some renovations, but the beach and golf are top notch!

The house was well equipped and wonderfully air-conditioned in the bedrooms and kitchen area. The property manager checked in with us periodically which made it nice. She was super easy to work with! Overall it was a great experience.

Beautiful stay in Mauna Kea at Amazing Property

The house was beautiful - accented by incredible African artwork and well appointed. Everything we needed was there - we catered several dinners and the Chef noted how well appointed the kitchen was to cook gourmet mealsThe property manager couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating. Beautiful place - only downside (if there is one) is you need a car to get down to the beach - the walk is too far.

our big island stay

It was amazing from beginning to end. Highly recommend adding hotel privileges. Only downside was that both resorts were doing remodels, but that really did not affect our stay. Beautiful home

Annual Family Trip to the Big Island

Family trip to the Mauna Kea. Although the hotel is undergoing a major renovation and the golf course is closed, we still had a fantastic time! The home is perfect for our group and service from Linaya and Linda was awesome! Can't wait to re-book next year!

Family Vacation

Our Family has just returned from a wonderful vacation in Mauna Kea Hawaii. Our VRBO rental was absolutely fantastic. The house was in exceptional condition and located was exceptional. None of us wanted to return home, and we would happily return to this property in the future.

Family Vacation

We rented two homes through VRBO for our family of 17. This big house has a 10 foot deep pool that all the kids loved. The patio area was perfect for card games, cribbage and outdoor dining. Both of the hotels’ beaches and pools were delightful.

Great house in a great location.

We had eight men stay at the house for week of golf and fun. We were comfortable and never felt crowded. Easily cooked most meals there at the house. Relaxing house and perfectly located. Second time we’ve stayed here. Great.

A week in Paradise

Another great trip to the Big Island and the Mauna Kea Resort. The property was fantastic, the house was spectacular! We celebrated a few milestone birthdays and enjoyed time with our families. Karen was great and took care of everything! We will be back again! Aloha!

Our best time in Hawaii (except for our wedding)

Our family (spouse, children and granddaughters) had an absolutely wonderful time at this gorgeous and fun home inside the Mauna Kea Resort. The views were incredible, and the heated saltwater pool was so enjoyable it was difficult to do anything but go for a swim. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we ate out only three times during our 12 day stay. We simply could not tear ourselves away from this magical spot inside another magical spot (Mauna Kea Resort). The internet is blazing fast, and there is also good cell reception at this home, although the TVs are a little dated. That being said, we often did not even turn on the TV as we were having too much fun doing other things. The owners have a huge collection of African art, vintage photographs, and shields from Papau New Guinea all over. All this made our visit even more unique as we puzzled over various artifacts and photos. We can't wait to return!

Amazing home!

If you’re going to the big Island this is the place to stay! Words cannot begin to describe how wonderful this home is. It’s beautiful both inside and out, very private, has great views of the ocean and was perfect for our party of 8. We really liked how the bedrooms were spread out giving everyone their own space and their own private bathrooms. Communication with the owner and property manager is excellent too, and we really appreciated the mid week housecleaning service. Of all the VRBOs we’ve stayed at, this is one of our favorites!

Phenomenal home away from home

What surprised me about this property is how I felt I was staying at my own home. Every possible gadget, accessory, condiment or whim I needed, was at my fingertips. 2 refrigerators, an ice maker, 2 dishwashers, food processor, coffee makers, spices, baking needs, bbq, water bottles, shampoos, detergent, bug spray, sunscreen, cleaning accessories, steamer, board games, you name it, it was found in one of the many drawers and cabinets. Karen and Linaya were a pleasure to work with. I had fresh food and produce delivered from Foodland, Karen the house manager received and put everything away before I arrived at the house. The house itself was homey and comfortable. The views...spectacular. The sunsets each evening were our favorite time while hanging out on the lanai or pool. Each room had it's own bathroom. Access to the hotel and it's amenities is an extra charge. Definitely request to add this package. It made golf, using the hotel gym. restaurants and the beach facilities a breeze. Thank you to Linaya and Karen for making our vacation so easy and memorable. We will be back for sure.

Beautiful sunsets every night

The house is amazing with plenty of space and everything you need. Loved the pool, the view and the peaceful mornings and evenings sitting on the wonderful outdoor furnishings. The host was very helpful and responsive and even had a mid-week cleaning. Highly recommend it!

Once in a lifetime experience!

Outstanding Family Stay!

Words can not express how wonderful our stay was this past week! A group of Cousins, siblings and significant others gathered for a long-awaited family reunion and this beautiful home and magnificent setting did not disappoint. The set up of the house provided privacy yet perfect places to gather and take in the gorgeous view. It is elegant but comfortable, inviting and felt 'warm' - a true island experience. The kitchen and home had everything we needed and then some! The pool was a wonderful place to linger, but it was also wonderful to take advantage of the facilities, restaurants and the absolutely perfect beach at the MKBH, by far the best beach on the coast. The house was spotless when we arrived and check in/out was a breeze. The on site manager has been so lovely, and very available for every question, though we didn't have many. I/we can not recommend this house enough! It was a dream - and we hope to return again soon! Thank you for the opportunity of staying in this beautiful home!!!

We've been coming to the Mauna Kea for 25+ years! Loved the property. Check-in and assistance from property manager was great! House has everything you need! Sunsets from the Lanai were spectacular! We'll be back for sure.
