Great Condo

We were a party of four; our second time at this condo. It’s in a great location in Kona, very nicely maintained grounds and pool. The condo has a beautiful view and has everything you need, including beach chairs and toys. We had a great time! Mahalo!

This Kona condo truly is a five-star find and the ideal base for exploring the Big Island. From the moment we stepped onto the lanai, the stunning, uninterrupted ocean view took our breath away—it provided the perfect backdrop for every morning coffee and unforgettable sunset. Beyond the aesthetics, the unit offers incredible peace of mind. The complex is remarkably quiet and feels extremely secure, allowing for truly restful nights. The location is absolutely unbeatable. We were amazed at how centrally located we were, with supermarkets and the local movie theater just a short drive away. For recreation, being so close to a fantastic golf course and having easy, quick access to the best beaches was a major bonus. We spent less time driving and more time relaxing. If you’re looking for a quiet, safe, and convenient slice of Hawaiian paradise with a spectacular view, look no further. We can’t wait to return!

Best condo of 10

Of ten condos at Kanaloa where we have stayed, 1502 is the best. It has a cook’s kitchen, a fantastic setting and view, and recliners on the deck for after days of adventure. We can’t wait to return.

Delightful Property

We loved our time here. It was equipped with everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach gear. I loved sitting on the lanai and watching the ocean, the property was quiet and convenient for everything we wanted to do on the Kona side, the condo clean and comfortable, and lovely to boot. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Spacious, Updated Condo With Great View

My family loved our time at this condo. It was beautifully updated, clean, very spacious and well stocked. The view from the lanai was amazing and was one of our favorite places to relax. It will certainly be the first place we look into booking when we return to the big island!

This condo is true to the photos (much appreciated)--immaculate, well appointed, choice location with fabulous views, nice amenities. The owner is a pleasure to work with, communicated clearly with kindness and accommodation. There were many things that enriched our stay, beginning with the welcome fruits/coffee/cookies, the beach equipment (chairs/cooler/umbrella/etc) and snorkeling gear, clear instructions how to use and care for condo equipment and appliances, nice linens and towels. This owner takes pride and care of their property and we truly appreciated the experience. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home.

Perfect short getaway

We were looking for a relaxing place to stay to decompress, near the water but not in a crowded area. This condominium was perfect. We particularly appreciated the clean & comfortable space. We'd definitely come again.

Great condo

We have stayed 3 times at Kanaloa and this is by far the nicest we have stayed in. It has a fully equipped kitchen, marvellous views, comfortable beds and everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The welcome basket was greatly appreciated. The owner was in touch with us to make sure there were no problems. Would definitely recommend this condo.

Lovely, comfortable, everything you need

Beautiful condo. The owners have thought of every convenience. Kitchen is as well stocked as we’ve ever seen. The view is gorgeous. We are golfers so really enjoyed watching people tee off right in front of us. We spent so much time out on the beautiful lanai that we wished for a second chaise lounge. Otherwise, pretty perfect!

The property exceeded our expectations! The view is exactly as pictured. The unit is more spacious than depicted in the photos. The unit was extremely clean, and the furnishings were very comfortable for 4 adults. The kitchen included everything you would need if you chose not to dine out. One of our top requirements was A/C throughout the rental, and Condo 1502 delivered cool nights along with stable Wi-Fi. The property was quiet. We loved the ocean side pool! We would definitely choose this property should we visit Kahaluu-Keauhou again!

Kanaloa 1502

From the minute we walked in, we could tell we made a great choice. We've stayed at quite a few VRBO properties and this one rates at the top! The listing and description of amenities and the pictures are spot on, cleanliness was superb. Thanks too for the Kona coffee. Sipping coffee and eating our breakfast papayas on the lanai was a great way to start off our morning as well as watching the sunset in the evening- so peaceful and tranquil. We enjoyed the Ocean pool - lots of lounges and relaxing to hear the waves crash against the shore. The only thing I wished was that there was a music system or CD player in the living room. Would be nice to listen to music as we fix meals- but not a deal breaker. This complex is very quiet and well maintained. Thank you Mindy and Don for opening your home to us. We would love to return some day soon. Audrey & Albert C.

The best at Kanaloa!

I wanted to reach out and say 'thank you' for the great stay (our second at Kanaloa) we had at your place last month! As always, your condo shines above the rest! We have very much grown to appreciate and enjoy what a great place you have. The weather was amazing during our stay, and we've enjoyed becoming comfortable with the area and all it has to offer that end of town (we even walked over to the Keauhou beach, which we'd never done before because the pools on property are go great)! We are already starting to look at next year, and hope to be able to return again soon! Thank you as well for your great communication, flexibility, and care that you show to your Hawaiian home. Kanaloa at Kona is the gold standard we compare all others to, and few can!

Best Stay Ever...so much better than being in a hotel.

My brother and I highly recommend this property. It is convenient to shopping and easy access to my sisters as we celebrated our family reunion at my sister's. I look forward to more future stays at this property. This property is more than I expected.

Fantastic

This is the second time we have stayed in the condo in the past two years. Not only is the location perfect, the condo is spectacular. We felt truly comfortable in the condo, had lots of space for 3 of us, and an amazing view of the golf course and ocean. The sunsets were amazing.

Our First Stay in 1502

The unit was one of the best ones in the resort (we have stayed in 3 other units and at the resort many different times). It was clean, decorated "Hawaiian Style" (but more comfortable furniture), the unit has been updated and everything was in great condition, everything we needed was available. The kitchen was well equipped, with supplies, pots and pans, and many cooking essentials. Also there was a lot of outdoor equipment, including masks, fins, and chairs. We are getting lazy and did not use these items. Sitting on the Lanai and watching the ocean and golf course was just the right activity for us! When we arrived, there was a basket of fresh fruit, some juices and water. I love avocados, and I can truly say that I have never seen one as big as the one that was left for us. It really was about the size of a small football! Also the owners could not have been more gracious working with us throughout the pandemic mess. This trip was booked over 2 years ago, and they moved the dates for us twice. We will definitely try to rebook 1502 in the future. Aloha, Craig and Sue

The pictures don’t do this property justice. It’s fully stocked with what you need and the views from the deck are perfect. Will be staying here again for sure.

Very nice condo, great location from Kona Airport

Wonderful condo and price value but no mention of facility removal of curbs with lots of construction noise in the mornings. I was disappointed that this was not mentioned when booking the condo.

Smooth, relaxing, beautiful stay

The stay was great, directions for things were clear, accessible, and easily found. The hosts were responsive but we hardly needed to bother them during our stay. Everything just went so smoothly. The bed is comfortable, everything felt clean, the kitchen was extremely well stocked, the view is great, and the condo is tastefully decorated. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Awesome condo with a spacious lanai for the sunsets

This was a great stay in an ideal location close to everything in Kailua-Kona. Best snorkeling was 4 mins away and 8 mins to another beach. Plenty of pools and bbq pits to use around the complex. The unit was clean and large and had everything we needed, including the lanai for breakfast and to watch the sunsets. The reason for 4 stars was because of an additional fee that was charged. I messaged through the app the day of the reservation and did not get a response till I sent an email a couple weeks later. The policies say maximum occupancy is 6 people. Nowhere on their website or VRBO does it mention that any more than 4 people will there be an extra charge. Still today, no mention of a fee. Standard practice is to disclose all fees. So for an infant and a toddler, I was charged the same as if two grown adults stayed. Other than that, everything’s was great and I would stay here again.
