The house is great! Literally everything is there from kitchen items to kids games and beach toys. The house is decorated so nicely and us the best ocean breeze as it is just steps away from the beach. This is our 2nd year staying here and we hope to make it a tradition since we love this place. Tink (owner) is so hospitable and gave us some ideas on things to do when the weather wasn’t cooperating.

We LOVED our stay in this home. Too many wonderful amenities to list them all, but the front porch was amazing. Front and back porches had sturdy gates, so children and dogs that run out the door are still safely contained on the porches. The front porch is spacious and shady all day. Room for kids to play, a beautiful place to eat breakfast or play games at night. It was so hard to leave it. The tap water tastes good; no need to buy water like at some southern beaches. Just a few steps to the boardwalk. There is a bathhouse right at the beach access by the house. The ocean was wide and flat, with a tide pool, and a sand bar; wonderful places for small children to play without being in rough surf. The kitchen was well stocked, Dawn and a sponge provided, handsoap in all the bathrooms, retractable gates to contain dogs or children in or out of the kitchen/dining area. A wonderfully long dining table to seat 12 people. Chairs for 14. Large comfy living room; large coffee table big enough for games with 9 gathered around. Fenced grassy yard. Boogie boards, sand toys, umbrella, canopy, many assorted beach chairs, bikes with locks, all available for our use. Owners were very responsive, and kind. I can't say enough good things about this rental. We miss it already!

Beautiful home, so close to the beach!

Our large extended family enjoyed our stay at Lucky Dogs. The house feels more like a well-loved family home than a sterile vacation rental, with art, interesting color choices, and even a well-stocked little library tucked away in an alcove at the top of the stairs. The home is big enough for everyone to sleep comfortably, the hosts are friendly, attentive and readily available, and the beautiful beach is only steps away. There are beach chairs, bikes, beach toys, a great outside shower and a small fenced backyard with flourishing tomatoes that the host urged us to pick and enjoy (which we did!) The house is beautifully decorated, but -- warning -- not childproofed. Our group included several babies and toddlers, so one of the first things we did was to move many breakable decorative objects to higher shelves to keep them out of the kids' reach. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped with all the plates, cutlery and cooking implements you could ever ask for. The downside of this is that the cabinets are already so full that there wasn't much room for a week's worth of food for a crowd. If I could recommend any changes in this beautiful home, it would be to add some kitchen shelves or cupboards for food -- and maybe some hooks near the doors for bags and jackets. But those are small things. It was an excellent place to spend time together with family.

Leave the extras at home- this place has it all

The place is beautiful! The location is amazing. Everything you may need and then some is already available at the home. From bikes, a wagon, beach toys, etc to batteries- this place has it all. The beach views from every window and deck is so nice. The beach is so close that the kids didn’t bother to bring shoes. The rooms are all nicely decorated as well as the room for the pups. Midway of our stay, we decided to book for next year since everyone in our party loved this home. We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful house steps from the beach in a nice neighborhood.

This was our third stay here and we loved it just as much as last years. The house is very clean and well maintained. Met the needs of our 15 person clan perfectly. We hope to be back!

Great House

The bedrooms were spacious. There was plenty of dishware & silverware for our group of 15. So nice to have beach chairs and beach towels included. I loved the decor and the large front porch. The beach was close and we never ran out of hot water. It was a win all the way around!

Unforgettable Vacation Home

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home for our family reunion, and it was an experience we'll never forget! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views of the ocean visible from every room. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the beach, making it incredibly convenient for everyone, from kids to grandparents, to enjoy the sun and surf at a moment's notice. The house itself is beautifully maintained and spacious, easily accommodating our large family without ever feeling crowded. Each room is tastefully decorated with a coastal theme that perfectly complements the breathtaking seaside views. The common areas were perfect for gathering and making memories, whether we were cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, dining together, or lounging in the comfortable living room. We loved spending evenings on the deck, listening to the waves and sharing stories. The proximity to the beach meant that morning walks and sunset strolls were a daily delight. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, such as beach chairs and umbrellas, which made our beach days even more enjoyable. In addition to the fantastic amenities, the hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, ensuring that our stay was nothing short of perfect. The Salty Dog is a true gem. It provided the perfect setting for our family reunion, combining luxury, comfort, and an unbeatable location. Highly Recommended!

7 Days in Heaven!

This house is the perfect setting to spend time with your family. We had 3 generations of siblings, cousins and babies, so the 2 minute walk to the beach was a blessing. Each family had their own bedroom with a bath on each level plus two more on the ground level. We all get a night to cook for one another and the large dining room table accommodated us nicely. Besides the beach the covered porch with the constant ocean breeze became the place to gather from early morning till late in the evening. Every room had a view of the ocean. This section of NJ does not require beach tags and yet the beach was still remarkably maintained. We enjoyed the use of the bikes and the small patch of lawn in the back was the perfect place for the toddlers bouncy house! Another huge plus is that all linens and towels are provided. Also, boogie boards, skim boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, 7 adult bikes are all here saving tons of room in your car. Having ample parking for 6 cars was also a blessing. We had one small lap dog and there is a dog park right across the street. This is not the newest house you will rent but it is one of the best. One fact you should know is that there are lots of steps, it is a 3 story home. This also allows for the adults to have some time without disturbing the sleeping kids. We obviously loved this house as it is the second time we have rented here. You and your family will love this house too!

Lucky dogs family vacation

This was our second year staying at Lucky Dogs Beach House. We love the house, all the amenities and especially the location to the beach! Jim and Tink are wonderful hosts and always ensure that we are satisfied with our stay while there. We look forward to future vacations at Lucky Dogs!

A fantastic home for a multi-generational family reunion

Lucky Dogs House was a lovely home for our family reunion. We had 12 people staying in the house -- 3 families of 4 with ages from 8 through 51. The bedrooms were very quaint and comfortable. Loved the decor. Some of the beds were softer while others were firmer, in case that will matter for some of your group. The bathrooms were well sized and the towels, pillows and sheets provided were excellent. The owner also left ample soap and toilet paper. We also took advantage of the vacuum cleaner throughout the week, which helped keep things clean and tidy. We also loved the ratio of bathrooms to people and we enjoyed the expansive front porch.The kitchen and the lower floor are not large, but they are well designed and we were able to host family members staying at another house (9 more people ages) for meals. There were plenty of dishes, cups and plates and silverware -- which was so helpful. The knives weren't super sharp and you might want to bring an 1-2 additional large pots. They left fantastic coffee, the ice maker in the fridge was such a help and the coolers out on the decks were great.The porch and decks were fantastic and the distance to the beach was so amazing (only steps). And we were able to take advantage of the bikes (7 in all), boogie boards, and beach chairs. And the outdoor shower was large and so helpful to wash off after the beach. The owner was communicative and helpful. I would definitely recommend this house again and if we have another reunion!

Amazing!

This property was wonderful! Just as described/pictured. Very clean and very well stocked. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating the entire week- location right off the beach and everything you could need for a beach day with multiple bikes, chairs, toys etc. every room was so cute and clean with well working AC units and plenty of storage space. we would recommend it to anyone!

Family Reunion Perfection

Lucky Dog is an absolutely phenomenal rental! Jim and Nancy went over and above to make us feel welcome and you couldn't ask for a better location. The bedrooms were impeccably kept, kitchen was very well stocked, and it made for a lovely place to vacation with our family from all over the country. Favorite activities were sitting out on any of the 5 decks and wandering back and forth to the beach that was literally 3 doors down. If you visit on a weekend- be sure to check out the little coffee place that a neighbor is running out of the garage across from the front deck. Perfect location for all age groups and the dog that was with us was very comfortable. Can't wait to stay again!

Great Time!

The home is perfect for a large group gathering. It has a lot of charm and character, with plenty of room for everyone to sleep, eat, and lounge comfortably. Ample parking in the driveway is great, but the lack of street parking may be annoying. The only weird thing is that the grill is on an upper deck that is only accessible through a bedroom. The proximity to the beach and boardwalk is ideal. The host is wonderful, and with linens included, check in couldn’t be any easier.

Great family beach house

We had a great stay! The house fit our extended family comfortably, and was well equipped for family meals and time together, while the various porch spaces and nooks allowed enough space that we never felt crowded. Access to the beach can't be beat, and being able to travel with our pup was the cherry on top!

We loved Lucky Dogs

We spent a week at this property with a group of 12 ranging from 5 years old to 75, plus a large dog. The house is big enough that we didn't feel cramped, was beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed to enjoy afternoons at the beach and family dinners at the house. Tink and Jim answered any questions we had right away and were super friendly and welcoming hosts. We loved having the front porch for morning coffee and evening wine, and the kids got a kick out of the outdoor shower after coming up from the beach. You couldn't ask for a better location, we can't wait to return!

Nancy & Jim were great host! Responded very quickly, and was very accommodating to our needs/requests. Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful. 
The property was very clean and well stocked. We could not have asked for a better location. Overall a wonderful place; we would stay here again easily! Pictures on the internet do not do this property justice wow factor. Quiet neighborhood & close to boardwalk. Very comfortable would definitely recommend.

OCEAN BREEZE

What can I say except "What a great place to stay". This home although older is filled with all that you could want. Home was exceptionally clean. 8 Bedrooms with really comfy beds (even the bed above the dog crates was comfy). Clean linens and towels including beach towels and dishcloths are included. Thankfully not a TV in every room so the family gets to be together. There is a huge(seats 12) dining room table which really brought the family together for some great laughs and conversation. All the rooms were tastefully decorated. There are lots of stairs for those of you who need to know. Literally steps to the beach, only 3 houses from the boardwalk. You can suntan on the rear decks which have a great view of the ocean or you can sit on the huge front porch with its constant ocean breezes. All the decks and upper floor bedrooms have a great view of the ocean. ( Don' pay extra for a beach front rental. The view isn't much better than this). There are some great extras with the house like 6 adult bikes, Plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards and those wooden skim boards. (This will save lots of room in your car). NO BEACH TAGS NEEDED for this beach. Pet friendly and neighbor friendly, there is a small dog park across the street where locals bring their dogs to play. There are also free movies at the park on Thursday nights. Parking for 5 cars at the rear of the house. You will love your vacation at this home.

Footsteps to beach

Wonderful location. Took 5 minutes to get to beach with a whole load of kids. Neighborhood was quiet and respectful. Boardwalk was 1/2 minute from our door and our whole family biked. Landlord took care of adult bikes and we brought the kids bikes The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. We brought our dogs for part of our stay and the doggie space provided was adorable. The front porch was very enjoyable. The gate was a life saver with small children.. We had a great time.

A Family-Friendly Beach House Gem

Tink and Jim were very welcoming of us to their beach home. They responded quickly to our questions and needs. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated with a beach/water theme. You will step into a clean/sanitized home too. The ocean views from every room and several outside porch options made for good family meals and visiting. The location can’t be beat just steps from the boardwalk and pristine beach. Having bicycles and boogie boards was a real plus for us long- distanced travelers. This home will surpass all your expectations! We hope to return for another family reunion.

Lucky to find Lucky Dog Beach House

The property and the views were amazing. The beach was awesome and so easy to get to. If I forgot something, I could quickly come back to fetch. They have beach chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys etc. So well equipped house. The front porch was adorable and we spent so much time there. The house is better than the description. The owners were very responsive and I could feel they cared to make our stay very comfortable. Jim also came to fix our tire for us. We just lucked out. They made us feel so welcome that we could anything in the house. It had everything we needed. Have done many rentals, but this was the best.

We love how close it is to the beach, the number of family and friends it accommodates, and the many gathering spaces-decks, private porches, living room and a dining room with a large table and plenty of seating.

Atlantic City is unique. The South Chelsea area is quiet and residential, yet the casinos, fine dining, entertainment and shopping is only minutes away. Walk or bike the boardwalk, car, jitney, Uber, taxi- anyway way you choose is only minutes away from all AC has to offer!
