"La Casita de pájaros" (Suite Invitado por encima del garaje) tiene 1 dormitorio (cama King) y una escalera de caracol que conduce a un gran altillo (3 camas). Cocina completa, comedor, sala de estar, 1 baño. Muy flexible ... funciona muy bien para una pareja o una familia pequeña!

Equipada con nevera, cocina eléctrica, horno de microondas, cafetera, tostadora, TV por cable y conexión inalámbrica a Internet, TV / DVD / CD, Juegos de mesa y cartas. Porche privado pequeña con 2 sillas / mesa. Uso compartido de un gran patio de entretenimiento, y una parrilla de gas.

"La Casita de pájaros" es diferente a cualquier otro alquiler de vacaciones se encuentra. Es artístico, encantador, divertido y frívolo. Los niños les encanta - que no le encantaría una escalera de caracol, un altillo, piezas de arte originales, una colección Cookie Jar y lonchera, sirena residente y letras magnéticas en una puerta del refrigerador de la vendimia cuelgan en la pared?

Los padres les encantará su dormitorio privado para relajarse, una cocina ordenada a preparar el desayuno, y la parrilla al aire libre para perros y hamburguesas. Lo mejor de todo, la playa está a unos pasos de distancia, y el centro de Frankfort es sólo un corto paseo. Los niños mayores pueden "correr libremente" explorar el centro de la ciudad, mientras que los más jóvenes se dirigen a la playa con mamá y papá.

Está a 5 minutos a pie de la playa, para disfrutar del agua, arena y puestas de sol, o al centro de Frankfort para el cine, heladerías, restaurantes de lujo y tiendas. Tome 15 minutos en coche a la "Cherry Bowl" drive-in de teatro con los niños y no se olvide de hacer una parada en el restaurante "Cherry Hut" por su delicioso pastel de cereza!

El día se completa cuando hayas vuelto a la playa por la puesta de sol, o incluso más tarde posible para contemplar la Vía Láctea o ver las estrellas fugaces.

We had a wonderful stay in the birdhouse. The lococation was perfect, just 2 blocks from downtown and 1 block from the beach. We had 4 adults and 2 children and it was plenty of space for us. Host was very responsive and pleasant to talk to. We are definitely planning to come back.

My family and I are very thankful to have had the opportunity to rent the Birdhouse. The location is great, close to town and the beach. All the amenities were excellent, for a family that flew in from Arizona and could not bring a whole lot.

Entire apartment was clean and comfortable. Bathroom and kitchen were very clean. Plenty of towels and other necessities. Apartment is well-appointed and neatly decorated. Wi-Fi & TV all good. We are a retired couple. Had no issues navigating stairway to reach entrance. Situated on a very nice, very walkable street. 5-minute walk to Frankfort Beach. Quick walk to Main St. - very close to excellent restaurants, bakeries and ice cream shops! Excellent value for comfort, cleanliness, convenience and amenities. Excellent host!

A Perfect Place

Our stay in ‘The Birdhouse’ was amazing! A safe, quiet, and well, perfect location, is steps from the stunning lake Michigan Beach and 2-blocks from quaint Downtown Frankfort! Along with its ideal location, the Birdhouse is spacious, exceptionally clean, and well-equipped in the kitchen and has many beach chairs - and umbrellas available for a beach day. Jerry is very responsive and accommodating. This place has everything you will need for a pleasant stay, and I highly recommend staying here.

This property is clean and well maintained. It is located on a nice residential street, within walking distance of downtown Frankfort and the beach. The pictures and website description are accurate. The owner is easy to work with and responsive to any requests. We recommend this property for a couple or small family, as long as stairs are not an issue (they were not for us).

Perfect place for family of four - feet from the beach and so much more!

Booked last minute getaway to kick off the summer. Jerry was super accommodating with checkin and duration of stay. Place was very clean, very fun and perfect for our family - kids loved the loft space. Owners have thought of everything from hairdryer to shampoo in the shower, paper products, coffee grinds, beach chairs and buckets and even a salad spinner! Don't hesitate this place is great! We've rented up and down the east coast and throughout Frankfort. This is the most well equipped home we've ever stayed.

Feels like home

Our accommodating, warm and friendly hosts made us feel at home even before we arrived. We loved the space, where we could enjoy many charming nooks to relax and share one another’s company, even with our teen! She loved her private loft! We played games and watched movies - generously supplied by the hosts. It was whimsical and clean and full of charm! The house is nestled among other beautiful homes on a quiet street, just a 5 minute walk to a STUNNING beach and the picturesque town filled with with coffee shops and other fun things to explore. Thank you for the perfect home for some much-needed time away together! We hope to be back.

Special Memories

We booked this vacation not knowing days before we went they found a tumor in my husband"s spine. It was the most peaceful place for my husband and our girls to just spend time playing cards and games and do puzzles - all provided in the cottage. Our adult daughters walked to the beach every evening and walked the beach enjoying their time together swinging on the swings, processing all we had ahead. They still talk about this time together 9 months later. The cottage was clean, well stocked. We loved the town, shopping, eating at Storm Cloud, but mostly just family time in such a quaint, peaceful place. We loved the signatures in the bathroom and look forward to seeing ours again when we come back someday soon. My husband has since passed and we thank you so much for the wonderful memories of this last family vacation we had. We will be booking soon again!

Wonderful stay

We had such a wonderful time staying in the Birdhouse. It's super cozy and cute, just like the pictures. It was very clean and well appointed for our family of 4. There are so many thoughtful details like beach chairs and floats. The garage is so well organized and labeled for items for guest use. The patio space is beautiful and we really enjoyed the weber grills. Thank you for a great stay. We have been to Frankfort many times and this was our favorite place to stay. The proximity to the beach and town are unmatched!

Cozy Eclectic Retreat

We had a delightful stay in The Birdhouse. It's very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen, and the owners have thoughtfully ensured that you'll have everything you need for your visit. Lake Michigan is just down the street, so it was an easy walk to the beach for some nighttime stargazing. Definitely hoping to return.

The two of us – Cathy and Jerry – have four children, 18 to 44, and have been blessed with four granddaughters. Cathy is a retired physician and Jerry is "nearing the tail end” of his career as a psychologist.

Beyond family and work, our “fun” includes skiing, our friends, bicycling, and an assortment of hobbies. Our youngest child is Grace – 18 – just beginning her college career in upstate New York. She loves to bake, plays a pretty mean ukulele, and claims “happiness” to be her main pursuit in life!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The “Birdhouse” was the third rental in our quest to find the “perfect spot” in the Frankfort area. We fell in love with the chaming, artsy décor, easy walk to the beach, and short stroll into downtown for dinner, ice cream, and shopping.

We had tired of hotels, corporate lodging, and having to use the car just to go out to eat. The Birdhouse had it all we realized, and only steps away. We could enjoy time together, or go our separate ways, meeting back for lunch or dinner. If we wanted a break from the beach, short drives would put us into the wonders of Sleeping Bear Dunes, the fun of Traverse City, or any number of area attractions and activities.

It was during our second visit – late August 2015 – that we realized that the “Birdhouse” and it’s attached home, (now called the “Beachcomber”), was our ideal Michigan vacation home. Three hours after this epiphany, we agreed on a price with the owners, signed an offer, and shook hands. Four weeks later the home was ours!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

There are two units on this property and each have their own unique personalities! (Many large families rent both units to have everyone in one place) The Beachcomber is a spacious, modern, updated home with all of the amenities! Each bedroom has it's own bathroom and the large gourmet kitchen is perfect for hosting large family dinners. The Master Suite could rival some of the best hotels with it's walk-in 8 jet shower, whirlpool tub, private balcony, 4 poster bed (& an extra sofa bed!), sitting area and walk-in closet! The "Bunkroom" has it's own TV and game console complete with games to keep the kids busy on rainy days while the adults socialize in the living room beside the double sided fireplace. Board games and cards are provided for hours of fun & laughter.

The Multi-level Guest Suite above the garage has it's own separate entrance and is called "The Birdhouse". It is unlike any other vacation rental you will find. It is artsy, charming, fun and frivolous. Kids love it – who wouldn’t love a spiral staircase, a sleeping loft, original art pieces, a lunchbox collection, resident mermaid, and magnetic letters on a vintage refrigerator door hung on the wall?

Parents will love their private bedroom to relax in, a tidy kitchen to cook breakfast in, and the outdoor grill for dogs and burgers. Best of all, the beach is steps away, and town just a short stroll. Older kids can “run free” exploring the downtown, while young ones head to the beach with Mom and Dad. The day is complete when you’ve returned to the beach for the sunset, or possibly even later to gaze at the Milky Way or watch for shooting stars.

But the best part of all ... memories that will last a lifetime!
