Mampoo Casa - Alquiler de vacaciones, St. John, Islas Vírgenes de EE.UU.

Un alquiler de vacaciones exóticas y de lujo con vista al mar, rodeado de la belleza natural de San Parque Nacional Juan. A un corto paseo de las playas de Hawksnest Bay, esta casa de estilo japonés de tres dormitorios y tres baños tiene tres amplias terrazas, una pequeña piscina, aire acondicionado, ducha al aire libre y muchas hamacas.

Una casa de vacaciones encaramada en la ladera sobre la antigua destilería de ron de bahía en Hawksnest Bay, esta inusual casa de madera tiene tres dormitorios, una cocina encantadora, varias terrazas y una piscina para refrescarse.

Despertar en una cama de caoba y koa y ver el agua turquesa sin levantar la cabeza de la almohada. Para llegar a un resfriado Ting ™ la derecha de su propia nevera dormitorio y caminar en la terraza para disfrutar de las copas de los árboles y contar los veleros a continuación. Dé un paseo de cinco minutos hasta la playa para un chapuzón matutino y regrese para preparar su café molido y recuéstese en una hamaca para contemplar cómo el plátano se pelea para divertirse.

Una nota importante para los posibles huéspedes con problemas de movilidad: hay una escalera bastante larga desde el camino de entrada a la casa, que puede ser demasiado extenuante para las personas con problemas de movilidad. Por favor, mira las fotos para tener una idea de la escalera.

The house is lovely, well appointed and generously stocked with everyday items - laundry detergent, bathroom supplies, kitchen equipment and spices, towels etc. The communication with the local host was terrific and they were most responsive. The only serious complaint is with the listing description. The host clearly states this is beachfront property - in fact the listing says it is the "only beachfront property on this beach." the listing does say "beach view" but one assumes that if the property is beachfront, then it has beach view . The property is actually across a road and a walk from the first beach entry point and significantly situated up a steep and long driveway tucked well up into a mountainside. I feel that the listing was deceptive as our family chose this property primarily because of the beachfront verbiage in the listing.

Our stay was exceptional. The house is beautiful and in a great location. The beach is only a short walk away and is gorgeous. Communication with the property manager, Jen, was easy and she was really helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Other than a steep driveway, it was almost perfect. View was amazing and location meant that we had a short walk to one of the best (but least crowded) beaches on St. John.

Amazing view and location

This is our second time staying at Mampoo house. This is a great place with amazing views and ideal location. Walking distance to Oppenheimer beach and a short drive to town. Love the plunge pool. Unique Japanese inspired architecture. Surrounded by nature. Love the zen feel!

Incredible Location and Island

Everything about the Mampoo house was perfect. All of the necessities for a vacation and the extra touches the manager puts on it shouldn't be overlooked. From providing a welcome basket to giving advice on places to go it really made the trip special. Would absolutely stay again and had a great time hiking/snorkeling.

Mampoo House is Amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mampoo house! This is special property -- very simple, but elevated by its thoughtful design and spectacular views. The floorplan is well-suited to 3 couples with private bedrooms and baths for each. Our property manager, Jennifer, was amazingly helpful from the beginning to the end of our stay. Without question, this is now our go-to rental when vacationing in St. John!

Treehouse Heaven

We enjoyed everything about Mampoo House. Jennifer the house manager was terrific. She responded to our tuests immediately. The views from the house are breathtaking. The beds are very comfortable and all the linens and sheets were top notch. We will definitely return.

An Oasis in the Trees

What a great stay we had a Mampoo House. The location and views are spectacular and the property has all of the modern amenities for a comfortable stay. Communication with Jen & Joey was great and they were really helpful making sure all of our needs were met during our stay. Running the stairs provides a great workout for those looking to get some fitness in during their stay. The plunge pool was perfect to cool off after the workout or at the end of the day. Would definitely book Mampoo House on a return visit!

Absolute perfection

Our group of 4 had a spectacular stay at Mampoo house. It is so well appointed, easy to cook in, super relaxing and beautiful. The plunge pool is an absolute delight, perfect for relaxing after a long day of snorkeling. Being so close to Oppenheimer beach was a joy to discover and made for a wonderful short walk each day. The property managers are wonderful to work with - so attentive and helpful with any questions we had. The owners of the property were so kind and really took care of us, ensuring that we had a lovely time on the the island. Would highly recommend this property.

Our favorite place on St. John!

We absolutely love Mampoo House. The location can't be beat as there is a quiet beach across the street, yet restaurants and shops are just a short drive away. The house is beautiful and beds very comfortable. You can hear the waves breaking from inside the house. Our host, Jennifer, was exceptional and was always available for questions. She even picked up our grocery order for the first day. We will always choose this property over all others.

The ultimate tree house!

What a fantastic property! Make sure you know that your group will be climbing many stairs, although the location and easy access to Oppenheimer are worth every step! The amenities provided with the house, chairs, sun tent, snorkels, spices, olive oil, and beach towels were great necessities! We cooked several nights in the house and found everything we needed. I can't say enough about the concierge, Jennifer! She had fresh fish for us upon arrival! Do yourself a favor and reach out to them asap once you're booked to help with planning!

Amazing place!

This was the first time we rented a house after staying at Caneel Bay a few times. For the same price as a one bedroom at Caneel you get a three bedroom house with amazing views, awesome architecture and unrivaled privacy. There is wifi, ac (we did not need it), laundry room, a small plunge pool and several decks. There are a couple flights of stairs to climb between the parking area and house but we're not an issue for us (family of four with two kids ages 8 and 10). The house was just renovated so everything is new with high end appliances and great interior design. Modern yet very warm. On top of all that there is an amazing concierge (Jennifer) to help you with reservations or information on anything from excursions to grocery stores. Highly recommend!

Above and beyond

We had a wonderful time at the beautiful Mampoo house. The location was great with walking distance to one of the most beautiful beaches in St John (Oppenheimer Beach) and minutes ride to Cruz Bay where we enjoyed shopping and dining. Everything you need was there at the house from shampoos to cotton buds, even bandaids, water filter, snorkel and beach towels. The Japanese architecture was just beautiful, I cannot believe the builder made the sliding doors himself. Opening and closing sliding doors took a bit but got used to it by end of day 1. Beware of mosquitos; we went in August during high season so mosquitos found its way in the cracks. Property manager Jen went above and beyond and helped us through everything like jump starting our rental jeep when the battery died... She also was very knowledgable about the house and taught us some St John culture :)

Amazing house, location and vacation!

Mampoo house is a unique and amazing experience. We came for two weeks to celebrate our wedding anniversary and loved every minute. The location can't be beat. Right on the north shore drive, close to all the great beaches (hawksnest, trunk, cinnamon) and close to town yet secluded and private! A winning combo!! The view is incredible; the walk to the beach is easy and rewarding as you end up in an "almost" exclusive Oppenheimer beach; the house is an architectural beauty with its shoji doors creating spaces that immediately put you into vacation zen; the plunge pool is ideal for cooling off; and the extra bedrooms on the lower level provide for nice separate, space for everyone. (We had friends come and stay with us for a few days). Overall amazing house and wonderful stay with the house managers being attentive and responsive. I do recommend you read the house description as they are not kidding about the stairs and you are surrounded by nature so... yes you will hear crickets, frogs, roosters, and such at night (and day)! Loved it and plan to come back as soon as we can!

Paradise found

This property is so beautiful, with an amazing view. Private yet an easy drive to Cruz Bay (we chanted "stay left" whenever leaving). The architecture is gorgeous and the Ipe wood used throughout was smooth and cool, even in direct sun so it was comfortable going barefoot. The 72 stairs only made us plan a little better... Recycling the old cistern into a plunge pool was a brilliant idea, we used it daily. Concierge Jen was helpful and informative- she is invaluable. Already starting to plan our next trip!
