Tons of great stuff to do/see; here are some recommendations:
SeaWorld: this theme park is an animal-focused marine mammal park, oceanarium, marine animal rehabilitation center, and aquarium. https://seaworld.com/san-diego...
San Diego Zoo: one of the world’s best. Interesting factoid; their plant collection is actually more valuable than their collection of animals. They once spent $250,000 to move a tree 240 feet. The tree, a ficus watkinsiana, or strangler fig, weighs 440,000 pounds. It is the largest of the zoo’s more than 5,000 trees and is believed to be the largest of its kind in the United States. It is also one of the largest trees ever replanted anywhere in the world. https://zoo.sandiegozoo.org/
Lake Jennings: boating, fishing, hiking, 5 minutes away. https://lakejennings.org/
San Diego Beaches: with 17 miles of coastline and 4,600 acres around Mission Bay Park, San Diego offers a wide variety of beaches and amenities. https://www.sandiego.gov/leisu..
Gaslamp District: this is where you’ll find the nightlife. Also, there are lots of great restaurants. https://www.sandiego.gov/leisu...
