Ubicación privada a minutos de la ciudad de Tahoe, al final de un callejón sin salida, en la costa oeste del lago Tahoe. Hermoso bosque antiguo que rodea la casa.
Casa original construida en los años 70 con una nueva adición completada en 2007. El nivel más bajo cuenta con 2 habitaciones nuevas y baño completo, además de una sala de estar con TV de pantalla plana con TiVo, ¡excelente para los niños!
Un dormitorio con cama King de California, TV de pantalla plana y puertas corredizas que dan a un balcón inferior. Segundo dormitorio con dos camas individuales en literas y dos camas individuales independientes, además de puertas corredizas al balcón inferior. Baño completo compartido fuera de la sala familiar más un tocador y un lavadero en el mismo piso.
Hasta el piso principal, sala de estar con lujoso sofá de cuero y sofá de dos plazas, televisor de pantalla plana satelital HD con TiVo, chimenea sueca, mesa de comedor para 8-10, gran terraza Trex con asador a gas y vistas lejanas del lago. Cocina normal, pero totalmente funcional y con una vista panorámica de bosques a través de la ventana. Internet de alta velocidad está disponible en toda la casa.
Dormitorio en la planta principal con cama de matrimonio y baño compartido en el hall.
El nivel superior al que se accede por escaleras abiertas con barandas de metal, ofrece dos dormitorios más: habitación delantera con cama King de California; Dormitorio trasero con dos camas matrimoniales. Baño compartido en el salón.
Esta es una casa con una ubicación ideal cerca de la ciudad de Tahoe, pistas de esquí y ciclismo, a poca distancia de restaurantes. ¡Ven a Woodland Retreat y haz maravillosos recuerdos!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect size house and layout for what we needed. Beautiful deck and nice, quiet neighborhood! House was clean.Some of the beds are very old and need to be updated. The one on the main floor is basically unusable and the family members in this room ended up on the couches and did not sleep well. For how much you pay, it would be nice for shampoo/body wash to be included, an iron that doesn’t leave rust stains on your clothes and more than 2ply toilet paper. If a few small changes were made, I would love to come back and stay!

The 5 bedrooms were perfect for two families and the deck was wonderful to sit out on with morning coffee or afternoon wine. The only hiccup was a problem with the water heater which resulted in cold showers for several in our party. The management company handled it proficiently and was very responsive. We were very happy with how it was handled!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this house because we thought we'd have a few more people joining us for the vacation. Even though we were a small group it worked out well. I didn't realize there would be three staircases, so that was the only tough part for my husband who has had both knees replaced. He managed ok, though! The first floor was basically unused, the second floor is where all the action is. The grand room there is beautiful and the deck was fantastic. We used the BBQ one night and it has to be the best BBQ in any rental we've ever had over the last 20-30 years. It was clean and it functioned properly. The kitchen, while small, had absolutely everything we needed from utensils to plates and cookware to storage containers. It was perfect to find an electric hot water kettle, it's exactly what we use at home to make pour-over coffees and teas. The beds we used were ultra comfortable. We have no need for twins and bunk beds but if you have small kids that 3-bed room would be super fun for them. I'd stay here again unless we could find a good, smaller place for us. It was odd to find 25 or so large black trash bags stuffed with pine needles and other "yard" clippings piled up in the front yard. Just wondering why they haven't been dealt with. Looks like they've been there a while.

Great house with plenty of accomodations

Great house in a great neighborhood right in tahoe city. Plenty of beds which accommodated our group of work colleagues on a retreat weekend. Nice spot!

Fantastic property

I stayed at this amazing house with a big group of friends and it was a fantastic place to stay! If ever I am in Tahoe with a large group I will absolutely book this place again. The whole process was seamless, the place was spotless, had the perfect amount of space for our big group, and had an amazing patio view. Great experience overall!

Perfect location and the house was amazing!!

Loved that the house was so well stocked!! It had everything we needed in the kitchen and plenty of towels. We would definitely choose this property again!

Very spacious

Beds and linens are very comfortable. Kitchen is well-equipped. Convenient location. Excellent deck. Two family rooms. Overall this is an excellent vacation house. A few negatives: Steps going to top floor are a bit slippery and wouldn’t recommend for the elderly. Internet is spotty. Visited in summer and top floor bedrooms got quite warm during the day.

Great house for a big family

We visited Lake Tahoe with our family from the Netherlands and the house was perfect for a family of 10. Grandma stayed on the main floor and one family was upstairs while the other was downstairs. The main family room was great for shared meals. Check-in process was easy and very clear. The house is located close to Lake Tahoe and we loved Meeks Bay. Would definitely recommend if staying with a large family again.

We had a great time here. The house was clean and comfortable for our party of 7 kids (ages 4-20) and 4 adults. The location worked really well for us too. The rental process was very easy. Would definitely rent again!

We had a good time despite the bad weather.

Although we couldn't go out as planned for hiking, skiing, and visiting local restaurants, we has a good time stayed inside to play games, watch a few movies, and cook a few meals. The biggest challenge we have at this location is parking. Because we parked two cars on the driveway, the snow blocked the access due to the snow plow pushed the hard snow/ice to block the driveway behind the cars. We have to use a shovel to clear the snow but the shovel available is a low quality one. It could clear the powder snow but not the harden snow/ice pushed onto the driveway from street plowing. Luckily a neighbor let us borrow two good shovels. Overall, we couldn't ski and go out but we had a good time working together to clear the snow from the front of the house, around the cars, and on the driveway. A suggestion is to have two good shovels available so guests can efficiently clear the snow.

Plenty of privacy with bedrooms spread out/on different floors with nice group zones: living/dining area, outdoor deck is spacious and well protected, a separate "play" room where kids could play or for work space, etc. Kitchen amenities exceeded our expectations--a whole pantry full of various appliances, spices, etc. Friendly neighborhood too, with easy parking and access to town and lake. Would rent again for sure!

Be cautious of the stairs

We had some elderly relatives who live nearby who were going to visit us, and it's a good thing they didn't, because they never could have navigated the stairs. That's the one thing people looking for a rental should be aware of with this property.

My Family Stay in Tahoe

Nice property .. few glitches.

Our fam of 6 adults and 2 little ones under 5 stayed here. Very spacious! But beware of lotsa stairs! One concern - The room my adult daughter and I were sharing had two queen (?) beds in it.. only thing, is the room is A-frame and is not big enough to safely accommodate two beds.. the bed I was using is very close to the wall.. very first night, I got up in the dark and hit my forehead pretty hard on the thick wooden support beam .. still hurts a week later! House also has electrical wiring issues., can’t use both electric outlets on both sides of kitchen sink w/o tripping a circuit.. and ceiling lights over dining table regularly flicker when dishwasher cycle kicks in., Heating not uniform either.. bedroom on the main floor near kitchen where thermostat is, gets exceedingly hot while bedrooms on other levels. (Even after we closed the register.) On a good note- When we did need fo contact the property manager couple of times, they were very responsive and helpful,.. we dId in appreciate that!
