Great condo and great location

Loved this place a lot. Nice condo and so many great places to eat close by.will definitely go back. We have to leave two days early due to hurricane Michael. You can't control the weather.

Perfect recharge!

Comfortable, low-key and relaxing vacation spot. Not fancy but has everything you could need for a family beach getaway! Will definitely stay here again.

We had a great time, it’s a good location close to the beach , nice pool and the condo was clean and surprisingly stocked with extra items we needed.

Good location, spacious place and decent ocean view.

The good. Great location away from the traffic. Close to the beach and decent views from the balcony with plenty of room inside. Good size kitchen with plenty of pots and pans although we did not cook much. Clean and kept property grounds and friendly staff. The bad. A bit on the older side which I normally would not have a problem with, but it did have a musty smell especially on the kids room. I'm not sure if the carpet needs to be replaced, but there's a strong odor on that bedroom. There were a lot of gnats in the apartment although the kitchen area looked clean. Also, something resembling dried up bodily fluid was on the back of one of the pillow shams like it had not been washed. My kid found it he was laying on it, so that is my biggest complaint about the stay there, and the odd smell within the apartment especially on the smaller bedroom is what keeps me from not giving it a high review. The living room has a coffee table with a large glass top, so if you have small children that like to climb on furniture be careful as it could be dangerous. Overall decent experience, but please check the cleanliness of the linens for the next renter. We paid decent money for the cleaning fee, so we expect everything to be as clean as possible. Thank you for hosting our family.

Construction on building nois from 7-6 plus

A few days before our stay el Matador contacted me to inform me the unit booked is not available due to unit sold. Received upgrade to beach few unit. Unfortunately this was a major downgrade. The new unit sed awful like mold and was very musty. Causing allergies. The beds smelled really bad and all the fruniture smelled and is in need to be replaced. Especially the beds, couch and recliner. Our bedroom window did not lock which was a big safety concern as it faced the walk way. The bedroom has a big utility light outside the window which made the room light as day all night long. Needs better blinds or black out curtains. This building was under construction wich el Matador did not inform us until the night before the trip. Exterior

This is a family friendly location. The condos are well managed, the beach is beautiful and secluded

The beds were so comfortable the space was open, comfortable and clean. We will go back.

Family Beach Vacation

Overall nice condo for our family beach vacation. The location was close to the beach, and a nice view from the deck. A couple minor things which kept it from a 5 star rating but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our quick trip to Florida.

Great stay at El Matador

We really enjoyed our stay at El Matador. The facilities were great. The location is awesome. It is at the end of the inhabited portion of the island, so there is nothing further down the road/beach. This created a less crowded environment. The check-in/check-out procedures were easy and reasonable. The pools are relaxing. The beach access was perfect. Chair/umbrella rentals was easy. The room had several beach chairs included that we used also. It also had a small inflatable boat with paddles. It was fun to use. Several other beach toys were available. The room had several games/puzzles included though we didn't use these. Books and DVDs were included also. If I had any complaint, it would be that the pocket door was very hard to close enough to lock. Also, the key is hard to remove from the deadbolt lock. But these issues were extremely minor. Overall, the experience was wonderful.
