The view was the only thing worth considering. Light wasn’t working, nothing mentioned of the 80 steps to climb and confused instructions for everything. The property manager is not helpful at all.

Estupendo apartamento con magníficas bistas

El apartamento estaba muy nuevo y muy cómodo. Julien fue muy amable al recibirnos. Usamos mucho el coche para movernos por la zona y estuvo muy bien poder aparcar casi a la puerta. Por supuesto, las vistas, magníficas y muy disfrutables desde la amplia terraza. Un alojamiento muy recomendable.

Lovely stay in Laglio

This Laglio apartment had exceptional views of the Lake which is definitely a prerequisite for a stay at Lake Como. The pool was beautiful and was used every afternoon by our children. The kitchen was very well appointed and the living room was quite large as was the Verandah. There were 2 bathrooms. This apartment also had washing facilities which for our family of 4 was essential. Some improvements that could be made was the bedroom linen , pillows and blankets now need to be updated. Small touches such as soap for the shower and provision of some pods for the coffee machine would also be nice. On the whole though a very enjoyable stay.

Great location for exploring Lake Como, Laglio is quaint & the apartment offers great views

We stayed here as a family of four including 2 small boys and had a wonderful holiday. The apartment was lovely, light and clean with comfortable bedrooms and good bathrooms. The balcony had plenty of furniture for sitting outside and enjoying the stunning view of the lake. The apartments garden was split on different levels and the pool was on the other side of the building. Our eldest son absolutely loved the pool but the youngest (age 3) found it a bit cold and without a shallow area to paddle in didn’t venture in too much. On the hotter days of our stay we missed not having an umbrella for some shade and we had to move around some garden furniture so that we could enjoy the sun and watch the children by the pool. This was ok though and we had the pool area to ourselves most of the time. We struggled with the WiFi connection and tv signal - probably due to a storm, as it was working when we first arrived. We used the opportunity to break from the routine of tv and internet! Laglio is a lovely village and we found it easy to drive to other towns along the lake or access the Ferry. A little shop, restaurants, butchers and amazing ice creams, the children loved the little playground over the road. I wish we had requested a welcome pack/hamper in advance as there was nothing provided and the local shop was closed when we arrived and we had to drive back to Como to get to a supermarket. I would recommend this apartment to other similar families, couples, friends.

Peacefulness and beauty

We came back to this beautiful small village Laglio, to the same apartment where we stayed years earlier. Service was excellent as always, the lake view is spectacular, we enjoyed every single minute! One day skiing - on other day having a boat trip - such an incredible experience! See you next time!

Stylish apartment in charming lakeside village

We had a lovely week in Laglio and really enjoyed exploring the lower end of the lake as well as getting to know the village itself which is charming. We were lucky to be there when the festi degli Alpini was taking place and were made to feel very welcome at this village event. The apartment is in a wonderful position to enjoy the lake views and had everything we needed- the pool was especially welcome due to the very warm weather. Thank you again to Julie for booking us a perfect lakeside table at Crotto dei platani. The view was stunning and food excellent. Looking forward to coming back to Lake Como in the future. Thank you again for making our holiday run smoothly.

WOW! What a find!

From the first moment we stepped into this apartment we fell in love with it. Our first time was 2014 and we've been back several times since at different times of the year. Our last time was December 2016, my boyfriend and I took my parents for a festive treat and we've just re-booked to go back with my teenage sons for Easter. It really makes no difference what the time of year, one thing that remains constant is the outstanding lakeside view which is perfectly showcased through the panoramic floor to ceiling vista from this apartment. Wether from the comfort of the extra large sofa looking towards the snow capped mountains in winter, or from outside lounging on the patio furniture watching the sun rise over the mountain in summer, the views are always a visual feast. The gardens and pool are all on different levels but all offer the same awesome views. The apartment itself is very comfortable for 4 people with a double and twin room, ample wardrobe space and 2 lovely modern bathrooms. I've cooked in the kitchen quite a few times during our numerous visits as there's a shop next door selling fresh meats and other italian goodies which occasionally makes a welcome alternative to our usual restaurant over-indulgence! We always rent a car to explore as there's so much the Lake has to offer and so many little villages all offering different things as well as a vast array of different eateries. Unfortunately for our greedy waistlines, it is a foody's paradise! There is everything on offer here from fine dining, simple trattorias, icecream parlours, street food and the free food in every bar at happy hour is unbelievable! Prepare to gain weight if you holiday here! This apartment is an ideal base for Lake Como! It's even on the right side of the Lake to make the most of the sun all day long if staying home. Every time we go we discover something new. Private boat hire, sea plane, amazing shops, outstanding lakeside walks, magnificent villas (especially Balbianello!), 5 minute ferry to Belaggio of course,I could write forever recommending all my favourite places but that would spoil the surprise!! I can't wait to take my boys at Easter. So in short, WHAT A GEM!! Perfect apartment, perfect location... Exciting lake waiting to be explored! What are you waiting for?

Fantastic stay

We stayed here last summer and had a wonderful time. Initially we were disappointed our original home we chose was not available however Barrie quickly called us to offer this neighbouring home which worked out just fine. The home has views you can only dream of and the decor is very modern and tasteful. The ensuite bathroom was a nice touch whilst the second bathroom is literally outside the twin bedroom. The garden gave us complete privacy as the home and gardens are located on the opposite side of the pool which was a real benefit as we could swim each day (we only ever saw other residents use the pool of a late afternoon or on the sunday of our arrival) and then relax in our garden it was like having our own private villa. Laglio as i think the other reviewes mentioned when we were searching for a home, is a very quiet spot with a handful of restaurants, wine bar, mini market and butchers and gave us an insight of italian life from yesteryear. All of which we could walk to very easily.I think this makes the place gain an extra magical and mystical feel as it really is like stepping back in time as you walk around the little streets alongside the lake, we really did love out time here. We were recommended to hire a car and glad we took the advice in order that we could access the supermarket, ferry and larger shops and village which are all found 10 minutes or less from the home. We enjoyed afternoon tea at the 5 star Villa D este close by arranged as a treat for my birthday, right on the lakeside, expensive but worth it! The property does have a private garage although we parked the car all week below the steps to the home each day. A special thanks to Julie who met us on arrival and could not do enough to ensure we were settled in. We have already recommended this home to our friends as we think Laglio is a great location.

Fanstastic home, location, great host!

After extensive research we chose this home and could not have been more delighted with our choice. The home was just as photographed and the views did not disappoint. The interior was neatly appointed and the gardens were lovely to sit out in and soak up the sun. Most of the time we had the pool to ourselves (it was only busy on the sunday of our arrival for a few hours) so that was a real benefit to our group. There are a few stairs to reach the home and we certainly felt fitter at the end of our stay than at the beginning but in truth it took us 2 minutes to walk and the view as Julie, the host, reminded us is only as good as this from an elevated position. Julie met us on arrival and could not have been more helpful giving us titbits of information of where to shop, eat and live like a local and where and when to take the local ferry. Laglio is very quiet and tranquil so may not be to everyones taste, however we loved the peacefulness and walking down to one of the neighboring restaurants or café bars and meandering around the streets, the holiday really recharged our batteries. Argegno and Cernobbio, both a 10 minute drive, were also nice to visit if we ever fancied more action but we content to stay local and soak up the unique atmosphere of Laglio. The holiday really worked for us and we would love to return sometime soon!

Fantastic views and great relaxation

We - a group of 4 adults - loved the location and the area and had a great week in the villa. All the good stuff: - The views - The comfortable seats on the balcony to relax and stare at the view - The view - Very spacious villa and in a quiet location - The view - One or two nice nearby restaurants ( nice meal at La Locanda a few minutes walk away) - Have I mentioned the views yet? Our thanks to Brian, Julie and the team who were very helpful both when making the arrangements and during the week. The only minor negatives/notes - but these certainly wouldn't stop us booking again: - the steps up to the villa are very uneven. Those unsure on their feet need to be aware and small kids will need hand holding which isn't easy when you are carrying bags up and down. - Parking near the villa is a little hit and miss. We were there in peak season so probably saw the worst of it. There is your own underground (and so shaded) parking space but that's not next to the villa but a few minutes walk away. - Needs a sun umbrella. You are shaded on the balcony but nothing for when using the sun beds or by the pool. - the freezer isn't one. We wasted ice cream in week one. As I said, small bits that certainly didn't ruin an otherwise great week. Overall - loved it and will certainly be considering a return visit. P.S. If you are reading this and have not been to Lake Como yet, you'll love it. Our 2nd visit in 3 years and visit 4 already being planned.

Our dream holiday!

Just had to write to thank you for a wonderful stay on Lake Como. This home was just the ticket and made for a relaxing vacation. Light, spacious and views we never got tired of waking up or drinking wine under the stars on the terrace at night. The gardens were lovely to soak up the sun of a day time, definitely the best apartment in our view as not overlooked and away from the pool which we prefer but was only 30 seconds walk when we needed to cool off. Laglio is completely unspoiled by tourism, i can see why George Clooney chose this location to live. We loved the cantiner restaurant at the bottom of the steps from the home for dining of an evening and the park in near by Carate to access the lake and sunbathing with the locals! Special thanks to Barrie and Julie for your all your help during our stay. We will definitely recommend your services to our friends.

Great holiday!

Julie, Barrie and Robert, were brilliant in organising our dream holiday. Everything was so well organised, starting from the booking process ending by meeting Julie and Robert in person. It was great to meet you all, thank you once again! I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone willing to have a relaxing holiday and admire Como views. They are truly stunning and it is great place to be. We've been to Il Gato Nero restaurant, which I can also highly recommend. I think it was George Clooney's favourite place? :) We all loved Como and can't wait to go back. It was sad to leave. We were lucky with the weather both days. No doubt will be in touch again when we decide to come to Como :) Victoria

Beautiful

Lake Como is absolutely wonderful and if you're looking for a beautiful, tranquil environment then this is a must. Laglio is a quieter part of the lake but still has a few good restaurants within walking distance as well as a deli and simple produce shop. The apartment was great, well equipped and with fabulous views of the lake. Julie and Barrie were extremely friendly and helpful with everything from booking great tables at local restaurants to advice when we needed to see a doctor. Many thanks to them both.
