Fantastic villa beautiful location
Property had everything we required were big foodies and it offered a fantastic well equipped kitchen. The children enjoyed the pool area too deep enough for diving but well proportioned for general swimming

I am so pleased that Bernadette and her family enjoyed their stay. It was infortunate that the entire area was subject to an 8 hour electricity cut and hope that it did not put too much of a damper on their stay, however we have offered to reimburse Bernadette for any food wastage during the outage.

Beautiful family holiday base
The three generations of our family really enjoyed our stay. A perfect base for exploring local towns and beaches. Very tastefully decorated with a lovely pool , gardens and linens. We were looking for a high quality base for a relaxed holiday with a baby and grandparents and we weren’t disappointed. Elizabeth was very helpful, the lady representative doesn't have brilliant English but that wasn’t a problem. A list of supermarkets and local attractions / restaurants at the villa would be a helpful addition.

Laura and her family were delightful guests and from the very start of our communications were easy and clear about their requirements. Our housekeeper also told me that they were courteous and Thoughtful guests throughout their stay.
We have very much taken on board Laura’s comment that it would be helpful to have a list of supermarkets/restaurants and local attractions and have started compiling one which will be available for all future guests.

La Vigna - Good, but could be better!
We enjoyed our stay and the owner and on site manager were very hands on, helpful and nice.
However the following should be noted:-
* There was an insufficient supply of hot water, for both showering and bathing.
* The showers are not power showers, so no real force behind the water jets.
* The showers do not have thermostats, so difficult to control the hot and cold and obtain an even temperature.
* There are no outside comfortable seating areas. Whilst there is an adequate number of chairs and tables, there are no couches, or hammocks, for an afternoon siesta.
* There is no TV. The villa was not advertised as having a tv, however, families with children, should be made aware, as the point could be easily missed, on the website.
* The villa does not really work for more than two couples, if privacy is required, as only one bedroom has an ensuite.

I am pleased that, overall, you enjoyed your stay at our home. However, I am so sorry that you had issues with the house and I would like to address all four of these points:
1. The shower and hot water:
This is the first ever review or feedback to mention a problem with the hot water to the showers. I would like to say however that the guests arriving directly after you contacted me immediately to report extremely poor water flow. We arranged for the plumber to come the following day who reported that the inner tube in the casement to both the shower heads had been twisted: The parts were replaced within hours.
2. No, we do not have outside sofas or a hammock and have never indicated that we did.
However we do have ample outside seating and six very comfortable state-of-the-art sun loungers by the pool.
3. T.V.
We have chosen not to have a TV at La Vigna and that is clear on the website.
4. Only one en-suite bathroom:
La Vigna is a four bedroomed spacious home with three bathrooms, only one of which is an en-suite. This is also very clear on our website.

A Magical Stay at La Vigna, a great experience of Puglian Flair
We had the most amazing stay at La Vigna. Everything was just perfect. We felt we were living in a small paradise. The house is one of the most beautiful houses we have ever seen. Interior design was providing such a sensual pleasure following the traditional style of the Itria Valley. We all deeply enjoyed the beauty – sophisticated choices and the quality materials of the interior. The kitchen was spacious and charming, very well equipped with quality appliances, marble countertops and lovely tiles. We cooked many meals there, eating lunch inside hiding from the heat and dinners outside on the patio. One day we had a cook arranged for us by Elizabeth - and we enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by lovely Flora. With Flora I also learned how to make a lemon-ricotta pie. Bedrooms felt cool enough even though there was quite a heat period during our stay. We appreciated good beds and the quality material bed linens. Bathrooms were spacious and beautiful, with good towels. And, everything was very clean and fresh. The gorgeous house was surrounded by an amazing scent of rosemary and lavender, and an orchard filled with trees of figs, apricots, cherries, pomegrantes, apples, pears, almonds, mulberries. What a luxury to have fresh fruit from the garden. I loved walking in the garden early in the morning, enjoying the sounds and scents of nature. I carry with me the scent of figs, lavender and rosemary. And, oh my, the pool! A great one with a proper length and beautiful layout, surrounded by fig and cherry trees and a huge pine tree. A perfection.
Also, the location was perfect for taking small day trips. We visited e.g. Locorotondo, and went swimming in the sea in Torre Guaceto, and had a fantastic lunch at Cibus at Ceglie Messapica. And what made our stay even more special was the warmth of our hosts - Elizabeth and Ian. We were taken care of in such a wonderful way, from the first contact on. The communication was prompt and extremely kind. Thank you so much, Elizabeth and Ian. You have a very special place, and your caring and love for the place can truly be felt, in communication and at the estate. Also we want to send our warm gratitude to Isa, the housekeeper. We can highly recommend this little paradise to anyone who appreciates beautiful house and surroundings, sophisticated yet cosy interior, a great pool, and accommodating and warm hosts. We wish to return to this magical place, maybe next in the time of pomegranates. Grazie Mille!

Brilliant Stay!
Absolutely beautiful property in a sumptuous location. We had an amazing time in this gorgeous part of the world. The property is elegantly and comfortably decorated and impeccably clean and well-equipped. The situation of the pool is unbeatable with outstanding views over the abundant fruit trees and surrounding land as well as to Ostuni in the distance. We had the super-talented chef Flora come to cook for us twice during our stay and her four course meals were incredible - everything made fresh and mostly entirely from scratch! Communications with Elizabeth were outstanding and she and Ian provided loads of helpful information before and during our stay and promptly and pleasantly answered all our (many!) questions. Would highly recommend La Vigna for a family holiday.

A HIDDEN GEM IN PASCAROSA
We had a great time at La Vigna and communicating with Elizabeth was a breeze! The house was one of the cleanest property I have been in...and we also got the cleaning team coming once a week. The pictures and description are quite accurate..I would just say add that the AC is not available in all the bedrooms and the entrance doors require maintenance. Lastly, the property would benefit from having more umbrellas by the pool and by the outdoor eating area. Also, more lights by the entrance gate and by the pool would have come handy. Overall a nice property to vacation for sure! Thank you Elizabeth!

An absolute gem
This is a wonderful place, oozing character and style and in a spectacular location looking out towards Ostuni. The pool is spectacular - long enough for proper lengths and with far reaching views. Wonderfully equipped kitchen for cooking in but a lovely pizzeria in the village for eating out. Fresh, ripe figs dripping off the trees, juicy grapes on the vine, apricots and pomegranates what more could you ask for???

Amazing house....!!!
From the first moment the contact with Elisabeth was perfect, she is very kind and organised, that's what you need in Italy.
She answers to e-mails very quick and everything we asked for was taken care off, and very important: the house was very clean!
When we arrived we felt immediatly in love with the house. You can't imagine how big the house and the garden are, also the terraces all around the house are much bigger and much more beautifull then the pictures showed on the website.
The housekeeper Isa is the best... the day of our arrival we found fresh fruit from the garden on the kitchen table, cheese and wine in the fridge and coffee and milk so we didnt have to rush to the supermarket, it made us feel so welcome.
We were with seven adults and three children but the house was really big enough, kitchen and livingroom very spacious. The kitchen is really good organised, it is very easy to cook for a big family, very well equiped.
Behind the livingroom with two comfortable couches, is a long corridor with four beautifull bedrooms, all with a lot of privacy and their own terrace and three big badrooms.
The interiors of the house are amazing...! The colours, the walls, the styling... it is a perfect combination of modern and typical afchitecture of Puglia.
The garden is so good taken care off, there are beautifull plants, trees and even a wineyard and a trully, it is wonderfull to walk around.
The swimmingpool is a real dream, very big and clean, enough sunbeds with a beautifull view on the valley and the city of Ostuni.
There is a little pizzeria near the house and also a little supermarket nearby.
The location is perfect, in the beautifull Valle d'Itria and very near to Ostuni, Cisternino and Locorotondo which are very nice towns to visit and also not to far away from the beach.
Offcourse you need a car to go to places but hat is normal in Puglia.
If you want a perfect house with a perfect host you found it!!!!

Fabulous 2 weeks at La Vigna
We had a wonderful and relaxing 2 week holiday at this charming villa. The house is so lovely to return to after trips to the beautiful hill top towns. We visited the local markets and beaches and one of our favourite restaurants was the local pizzeria - not to be missed!
The house is rustic and stylish set amongst orchards of vines, olive, fig and pomegranate trees and the pool is one of the most relaxing spots, boasting fabulous views across the countryside and on most days a welcome breeze. We didn't want to leave and wished we had booked for 3 weeks. Thank you Elizabeth, Ian and Isa.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful house!
The house is beautifully renovated with a tasteful selection of colors and materials. We were only four people but there is easily enough space for eight. Every room is pretty, clean and well equipped. We found everything we needed, especially the bathrooms and kitchen have all the equipment you could wish for. We enjoyed cooking dinner and eating outside very much. Also, you can wander between fig trees, rosemary and lavender in the wonderful and huge garden, jump into the great pool or simply sit in the sun on one of the many terraces and garden corners. Isabel, the lovely lady who takes care of the house was a great help (even though we speak little Italian) and made our stay extra easy. Elizabeth the owner of the house also took good care of us and could always be contacted for any questions. There is not much in Pascarosa, the small village but we liked it very much, it feels remote but still not far away from anything. You find a delicious Pizzeria there and even a little bit of nightlife. Also, the location is very convenient if you have a car because it’s close to Ostuni, Martina Franca, big supermarkets and right in the lovely Valle d’Itria with its Trulli houses. To the sea it’s about a 20 minute drive. We were very much delighted by the whole region and the house and really wish to come back to La Vigna!

Wonderful old farmhouse in a beautiful setting
This is the perfect house for a family holiday in Puglia. This was our first time in Puglia and we were delighted with the area: it combines the climate and architecture of Provence or Tuscany with the plain unspoilt charm and lovely beaches of Cornwall or Brittany. The landscape is breath taking – blue skies, rich red soil, deep green vineyards and olive groves, clean white drystone walls and trulli. Pascarosa is perfectly situated between Ostuni and Martina Franca, with several stunning medieval hilltop towns about 7-10 km away in every direction. Each town has a beautiful baroque ‘centro storico’ and several excellent restaurants serving very good local food and wine. It is only 15km to the coast. The local people are very friendly and welcoming. The house itself is an old converted farmhouse set in acres of vine, olive, fig and almond trees, with superb views across the valley eastward to the town of Ostuni, whose walls change from rosy pink to bright white depending on the light and the time of day. The beautiful pool is set among pine and fig trees (fresh figs straight from the trees for breakfast every day!) and catches the cooling hilltop breeze perfectly. The style of the interior design is understated elegance. In the old part of the house two of the bedrooms have beautiful domed ceilings, and the sets of double doors linking the spacious sitting room, kitchen and terrace can all be opened up to create a wonderful living/entertainment area. The village/hamlet has a nice pizzeria and there is a shop at the nearest garage which sells all essentials and where family cooking (menu changes daily) is available to eat there or take away. The house was spotless and the gardens and pool discreetly maintained throughout our stay.
We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to coming back…

We already booked again!
This was our first non-hotel holiday ever and we were anxious as to whether Elizabeth and Ian's house would live up to our hopes. We need not have worried. The location is wonderful and is exactly as the website says. The charm of the house is that it feels very natural and understated but is very elegant, set in farmland, with lovely views from the fabulous pool area. It was spotlessly clean and three wonderful women met us to settle us in, with provisions already in situ and lovely gifts on the table for us to enjoy. Dinner was waiting on the table at 10pm at night on the day of our arrival and was much appreciated. Elizabeth could not have been more helpful and tolerant of our endless questions, but that made a difference to the set up of our holiday. Anything we asked for while there, she sorted out very quickly. The house is in a historic area, with beautiful towns, inexpensive restaurants and charming local shops all within a 30 minute drive. We shopped daily in Cisternina for our groceries and the food was fresh and delicious. We love cooking, and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. The utter charm of Puglia is that it feels like you have gone back in time. The pace is slow and that suited us perfectly. We have booked another three weeks in 2015, that says it all.

Beautiful villa perfectly placed
A group of seven adults just spent a wonderful week in this large, well equipped and beautiful house. Everything was provided, it's calm and lots of outdoors space for little and big kids! What sets this rental apart is the support we received. Elizabeth sent me lots of tips to make the most of the area, booked a table in the local pizzeria, and there are several people in the village to help out.
Set between the two towns you are ideally situated either way as long as you have a car.
Couldn't ask for better.

Simply Beautiful
I spent a week at this stunning villa in August with a group of family and friends that ranged in age from 19 to 65. Everybody loved it! The house itself is beautiful - spacious, gracious, and well equipped, including the kitchen. Everything was impeccable. The owners went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and responded immediately to questions and requests. The custodian Angela was very helpful and the local people were friendly.
Even though it was hot in August, we were perfectly comfortable. The pool is spectacular, on an elevated spot surrounded by fig trees, with views toward the historic town of Ostuni on a distant hill. I often rose early to watch the sun rise.
The area is interesting. I enjoyed visiting the baroque town of Lecce and the nearby towns, although we spent most of our time at the villa and relaxing by the pool. This is a beautiful place that I'd highly recommend. You will need a car if you want to explore the area.

3rd Visit - Cant wait for a 4th
This is the third time I have stayed in this property. The listing of the property is completely accurate. This is a large farmhouse and is always beautifully clean and well maintained to an extremely high standard. The owners supplied us with a contact number in case of emergencies which is comforting as a non italian speaker. I have stayed both as a couple and with a group of friends and on each occasion have fallen more in love with Puglia and Pascarosa.
The village is welcoming. The Pizzeria is hospitable and charming and makes beautiful bread for sale each morning. There are some fabulous villages and small towns to explore along with beautiful beaches a short drive away. Frankly though there is nothing better than visiting one of the local markets and purchasing the wonderful fresh produce of the region and returning to the villa to enjoy it sitting on the verhanda with a glass of Primitivo.
This farmhouse is on the edge of the village which makes you feel completely secure. It is up above sea level so there is always a wonderful breeze which even in the height of summer makes the temperatures pleasant. The pool is situated with superb views of the surrounding area. Cant wait to visit again.

FABULOUS
I was online to re-book this beautiful villa for the second time and astonished to see Island Family's review. The area is wonderful as they say but the villa is amazing too and the kitchen in particular very well equipped. The gardens are not manicured but that is not typical of this farming area and would be totally out of place. We can't speak Italian but communicated without any problems (hand signals etc!) with the housekeeper Angela - all part of the fun when abroad! In any case the English but Italian speaking owners are always at the end of a mobile phone if you need help. We contacted them several times to ask about local restaurants etc and they were very helpful. We are axcited about returning especially now they have put in a pool.

Villa of your dreams
"This is a beautifully converted farmhouse in a lovely stretch of Puglian countryside, and a wonderful location from which to explore the baroque towns of Martina Franca and Lecce. We have stayed in some excellent villas in Spain, Greece, and other parts of Italy, but this outshines them all. Fabulous interiors, loads of space outside, and an imaginatively constructed large size pool surrounded by fig trees with a seductive distant view of the 'white town' of Ostuni. Highly recommended.
Elizabeth and Ian are thoughtful and attentive hosts, who went out of their way to ensure that we felt at home. "

Almost
We stayed for 5 weeks at this renovated farmhouse. Pascarosa is a tiny village with no store or cafe although it does have an amazing pizzeria (seriously amazing). It is centrally located between Ostuni, Ceglie Messapica, Cisternino and Martina Franca - all are great towns. Given the location you need a car.
Puglia is incredible. The people are friendly, generous and kind, the food exquisite, the towns and villages beautiful. We loved our time in Puglia.
The pool is great though it's not heated (which shortens the season). There are lovely fruit trees surrounding the house and some nearby grapevines and olive trees. However, typical of the area (though perhaps not the price bracket), there is no lawn and the area around the house is as much field as garden.
The house sleeps 7 people in bed rooms. The kitchen, in particular, is under (or cheaply) equipped.
During our stay, we had some maintenance and communication issues. We would recommend being able to speak Italian to maximise your stay.
It's a great place, with potential, but is not finished inside or out yet. Perhaps, when finished, it will justify its price tag.

We are sorry that these guests were disappointed with the house and gave it this low rating.
As was noted in their review, cultivated gardens and lawns are not typical of the Pugliese countryside, which is why this farmhouse is surrounded by verandas and terraces for relaxing, barbecuing and outside eating. The area around the house is defined by a profusion of olive and fruit trees - in essence, a natural landscape characteristic of a former Pugliese farm.
With regards to communication, we always exchange mobile phone numbers and if and when any maintenance problems arise, we have a housekeeper in the village as well as a dedicated team of tradesmen who sort out any issues as quickly as possible.
We are surprised by the comments on the kitchen. We believe it is, in fact, very well stocked and equipped, particularly as other guests have gone out of their way to remark on this.
The house is fully finished for summer lettings (but we will be installing radiators and a wood burning stove for winter lettings in the New Year). Parts of the outer boundaries require some finishing touches, but we are intending this to be done in the spring.
All our other guests have really enjoyed their stay in our house and we are sad that these particular guests did not. We are pleased, however, that they enjoyed their stay in Puglia and were able to make the most of the beautiful hilltop towns and wonderful restaurants.
