Maravilloso edificio de piedra situado en una posición tranquila con una vista panorámica sobre las famosas torres medievales de San Gimignano. La villa, una típica casa de campo toscana, ha sido reestructurada de acuerdo con la legislación sísmica y cuidadosamente renovada manteniendo las características originales y amueblada con buen gusto con piezas antiguas e instalaciones modernas (aire acondicionado, calefacción central, TV vía satélite, lavavajillas, lavadora, etc.) . Un gran jardín / parque privado de más de 12. 000 m2 con olivos, frutales, pinos y robles que rodea la casa junto con una hermosa piscina (5x10x1,40 de profundidad) son una invitación irresistible para disfrutar al aire libre. La gran sala de estar interior permite a los huéspedes una gran libertad para leer, reproducir música, tarjetas, mirar televisión, pintar o simplemente descansar. El salón principal se abre a una gran terraza bien amueblada, ideal para comer al aire libre. Para una privacidad completa, toda la propiedad y la piscina están cercadas, lo que permite a los padres relajarse completamente sabiendo que los niños están a salvo.

El espacio
Los huéspedes tienen el uso exclusivo de una gran piscina privada, parque arbolado con olivos alrededor de 10000 mq, dos terrazas de terracota para 80 mq. Toda la propiedad está protegida por valla y cobertura. Una cerca de piscina y cobertura adicionales garantizan una mayor privacidad y seguridad para los niños. Para la diversión de niños y adultos, un futbolín profesional está disponible en la terraza cubierta (20 m2) con acceso desde la puerta de la cocina.

La casa tiene su propia puerta de entrada exclusiva. En la parte posterior del edificio hay un pequeño apartamento que es una unidad completamente separada (acceso separado, puerta de entrada y jardín) ocupada por el hijo del propietario, a quien los huéspedes pueden dirigirse para cualquier necesidad.

Nice and cozy home

We really enjoyed our staying in Francesco’s house. We had a great time. The fence olivetree Garden was perfect for our do. Even the pool has an extra fence. Very thoughtful.

Close to everything.

Do yourself a favor and stay here, it is close to everything Tuscan, Close to the best vineyards, old towns, groceries ect. All withing an hour. The property is comfortable and has all you need to create your own meals. Our Stay 3weeks.The owners are the best, questions if you needed to ask are fast. Honestly one of the best places we have stayed, and we are in Italy multiple times a year. Visit the area in the morning find local food to come home and create, sit outside in one of the 2 dining areas. Then sunset in the awesome pool. Well all i can say is,,its just all Fantastico!!!!

I recommend Steve and Megan family to anyone. They are very kind, friendly, honest people I ever met. They respect in every aspect. They treated the house same as their own home keeping it tidy, looking after the garden in every possible way. To say how friendly they are, I had a fantastic couple of hours with them with a glass of wine and a tasty home made dish. They respectively left the house very nice and tidy. Once again, please let your door open to them, you wouldn't regret it..

Beautiful house in heart of Tuscany.

What a lovely property which perfectly enhanced our stay in Tuscany. The house is spacious and the block very private. The pool was just ours and a great way to wash the dust of exploration of our bodies and laze with a local wine by. The bedrooms and bathrooms where comfortable and clean and it was great to have a washing machine. The owner was helpful and accommodating in every way. Kitchen facilities were excellent. All in all a great place and we will return to it next time we are in Tuscany.

A true Gem in excellent location

Excellent location, very central still off. Fantastic garden, super quiet, 5 min drive to redtaurants and shops. House fully in line with description. Fotos represent what you will find un real ;-) very lovely hospitality with owner. Uncomplicated. Excellent pool, a bit ditached and fenced so ideal if you are w small children. Nothing to complain. We enjoyed it.

We loved it!!!

Very well presented and spacious villa set in the quiet countryside. We stayed for a week. Clean house and clean pool. Charming and helpful host. Overlooking a private olive grove that comes with the villa and a cherry tree we could pick ripe cherries from - what more could we ask for? Nothing! It was all there.

Wonderful springtime in Tuscany

We spent a week in late April in this house. It was a perfect stay with lots of room for us both inside the house and also with the surrounding garden. From here it is easy to get to the beautiful places of Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. Francesco's recommendation for restaurants in the close area proofed right as they were very good. It was easy for us to get information right from the beginning of booking the place and received always prompt replies from Francesco. Sad to have stayed only 1 week. Hope to return back sometime again.

Wonderful holidays

We spent two weeks in the villa last June. It is even more beautiful in real than on the pictures. It is ideally located to discover Sienna, Plorence and even Pise, it is very well equipped and if you need any help or information you can ask the owners, Francesco and Valeria, who always were very welcoming and helpful to us. As for the swimming-pool, it really is only for your own use, and it is simply wonderful! Well, do not hesitate, book this villa for your next holidays! Jocelyne and Claude. France

A great venue in a great location - wonderful!

Our party of 4 adults (2 couples) spent 8 nights in this great villa and had a fantastic time. The villa is as described on the website, a wonderful renovation of a typically Tuscan farmhouse and had everything needed for a self catering holiday. A perfect place to trip out from or just stay on sight enjoying the pool, BBQ, extensive and beautiful grounds and great views toward San Gimigano. We had great weather despite being mid May and had no need to use the aircon - though it was made clear that its use would incur a separate charge. Francesco was helpful and attentive, often only a text away. Francesco asked if we had suggestion to improve a stay so we did mention the lack mattress's for the rather old sunbeds. He was aware of this and was hoping to rectify the matter soon! Being a home cinema aficionado I would have preferred a more up to date DVD system (BluRay, HDMI) and a larger screen but that's me being really picky! The Wi-Fi was up to the job and required one reboot while we were there - but hey - that's technology. We would happily go again and confidently recommend it as a place to stay.

Séjour idéal en Toscane

Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse dans cette adorable maison. Tout était parfait et malgré la chaleur du mois d’août les murs épais de la maison gardent une certaine fraîcheur (la climatisation aide aussi dans les chambres!). La maison est très agréable et fonctionnen tout point conforme à l’annonce. La piscine est un merveilleux moment de détente après les visites de San Giminiano, Volterra, Sienne ou Monteriggioni!) Un très grand merci à Suraji pour son hospitalité, sa disponibilité et sa grande gentillesse. Ce sont vraiment les vacances dans la campagne Toscane telles que nous les avions rêvées !

Sehr schön gelegen, tolle Umgebung

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, Alles wie beschrieben. Für Familien mit Hund sehr gut geeignet, San Gimignano, Volterra, Sienna sind sehr gut erreichbar. Sehr schönes Objekt mit riesigem eingezäunten Grundstück. Colle di Val d Èlsa in unmittelbarer Nähe ist auch sehr sehenswert.

Jacqueline and her family are very friendly and very respectful. They left the house very tidy even thou they had a dog. There was absolutely no problem during their stay. I truly wish to have them again and recommended to anybody who would like to host them...

Wir durften 8 Nächte in dem Haus verbringen. Das Haus wurde liebevoll von Francesco und seiner Frau eingerichtet. Als Willkommensgeschenk gab es eine Flasche Olivenöl aus der eigenen Herstellung. Das Gesamte Grundstück ist eingezäunt und er Pool ist separat eingezäunt, wurde mehrfach gereinigt. Der Sohn wohnt nebenan im Haus aber diesen hat man gar nicht mitbekommen - und wenn wurde herzlich gegrüßt. Die Anbindungen in die Städte war sehr gut. Vielen Dank für den einmaligen Urlaub, wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Herzensempfehlung.

Gracious host

The house is located in an olive grove with a few walnut, persimmon and fig trees. The owner even grabbed a ladder to pick some of the ripe fruit for us. He was prompt in replying to our questions and we felt well-cared for. The house and pool feels secluded and private while you are there but the location is very well-suited for exploring the Chianti hills, the small towns, and also driving to Siena and Florence, so we enjoyed exploring the whole area from this house.

Tuscan tranquility

Beautiful place to relax and unwind. Loads of character, lovely setting and great location between sienna, Florence and Volteterra. Local village Colle do Val d’Elsa is wonderful and packed with great restaurants and great supermarkets a few minutes drive away to make self catering easy. Francesco is a great host - there when you need him but not intrusive at all.

Hervorragender und gelungener Urlaub in einem sehr schönem Haus mit Top-Service

Lage: Sehr zentral gelegen in einem Nachbarort von Colle di Val d'Elsa und nicht weit von den touristischen Zielen San Gimignano, Volterra, Monteriggioni, Casole d'Elsa und Siena. Auch Ausflüge zu weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut möglich durch die nicht nicht weit entfernte Anbindung an die Schnellstrasse. Einkäufe sind sehr gut im nahe gelegenden Poggibonsi möglich oder auch in kleineren Supermärkten in Colle di Val d'Elsa. Haus innen: Typisch toskanisches Landhaus sehr gepflegt mit ausreichend Platz für 2-4 Personen. 2 Schlafzimmer, 2 Wohnzimmer, 3 Bäder und ein Essbereich sowie eine Küche. Geschirr ausreichend vorhanden und auch sauber. WLAN hat sehr gut im Wohnzimmerbereich funktioniert und, falls von Interesse, es waren auch alle deutschen Fernsehsender empfangbar. Haus außen: Große Terrasse vor dem Haus mit 2 großen Sitzbereichen sowie eine kleine gemütliche Terrasse neben der Küche. Darüber hinaus ist ein sehr gepflegter großer Privatpool vorhanden und ein riesengroßer Garten mit Olivenbäumen und freien Wiesenflächen vorhanden. Abstellplätze für PKW sind auf dem Grundstück vorhanden, dass durch eine eigene Einfahrt mit Tor abgesichert ist. Gastgeber: Francesco war immer verfügbar, wenn man ihn gebraucht hat und hat immer alle Fragen beantworten können. Ein sehr angenehmer, kompetenter, höflicher und freundlicher Gastgeber. Wir haben uns gefühlt als wären wir daheim. Danke Francesco.

A wonderful stay

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful week at this lovely villa and already booked two weeks, for June next year, as we liked it so much. Francesco is an excellent and friendly host, there if we needed him but also respecting our privacy. As well as the lovely pool we enjoyed the setting amongst the olive trees and enjoyed watching the Hoopoes from the terrace in the evening. Rundum ein Genuss

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus inmitten eines Olivengartens ist geräumig, das ganze Areal (mit Pool) steht den Gästen zur Verfügung, und man kann von hier aus die wunderschönen Städte der Toscana besuchen, vor allem Siena und San Gimignano. Der Gastgeber Francesco ist äußerst hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen.

Ein wunderbares Haus mit einem tollen Gastgeber

Wir waren im August für zwei Wochen in der Toskana und eine haben wir in diesem tollen Haus in Campiglia verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr schön, geschmackvoll im toskanischen Stil eingerichtet und wirklich komplett ausgestattet. Das Haus bietet viel Platz, an allen Fenstern gibt es Fliegengitter, die Schlafzimmer enthalten gute Betten und eine Klimaanlage. Draußen kann man an verschiedensten, auch schattigen Plätzen sitzen. Ein sehr guter Steingrill ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Das Haus liegt auf einem großen komplett umzäunten Grundstück inmitten von Olivenbäumen. Der Pool ist ebenfalls nochmal umzäunt, traumhaft schön und absolut sauber. Man kann hier seine absolute Ruhe genießen, oder das Haus idealerweise als Ausgangspunkt zu Touren in alle sehenswerte Städte der Toskana nutzen. Campiglia selbst liegt dicht an Colle di val d`Elsa und verfügt über einen kleinen Einkaufsladen, eine Bar und ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Das Herausragende an unserem Aufenthalt war aber unser Gastgeber Francesco. Wir waren schon oft in der Toskana und sind dabei eher gerne für uns. Unser Kontakt zu den jeweiligen Gastgeber/innen hielt sich also bislang in Grenzen. Und hätten wir nicht schon am ersten Tag unseres Aufenthaltes eine Reifenpanne gehabt, wäre das auch wohl diese Mal so gewesen. Francesco tat dann das, was man gerne erwarten würde, selten bekommt und dann in einem Ausmaß der unsere Erwartungen weit übertraf. Francesco vermittelte mit der Werkstatt, war ständiger Rat- und Tippgeber, war immer zur Stelle wenn wir etwas brauchten, dabei immer zuvorkommend, freundlich, gelassen und ehrlich hilfsbereit. Er fuhr uns zum Essen, holte uns ab, und organisierte eine Hin- und Rückfahrt nach Siena. Er war mit Abstand der freundlichste und hilfsbereiteste Gastgeber den wir je hatten. Ganz lieben Dank Francesco Wir haben den Aufenthalt (dann auch wieder mit PKW) insgesamt sehr genossen und werden das Haus wieder buchen.

Charme, riesiger Garten und toller Pool

Ein Haus mit Charakter und Charme, gemütlich eingerichtet, komplett ausgestattete Küche, riesiger Garten, ein toller Pool und ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Nur die Küchengeräte, Töpfe etc mussten wir erst einmal gründlich reinigen - aber wir sind eben deutsch...Dennoch: sehr empfehlenswert wenn man Ruhe sucht...und kurze Wege zu einer Vielzahl von Sehenswürdigkeiten. Für Familien mit Kindern sehr empfehlenswert.

Thanks for the review and for cleaning what was already clean. In fact, what you just removed from the dishwasher should be cleaned regardless of nationality.

Nestled among the olive trees, the villa is located on a small hill (hence the name of "Il Poggio") with views of the Tuscan hills and towers of San Gimignano.
The proximity of the highway allows you to reach Siena and Florence in a short time by car or by bus. Volterra is about 20 minutes drive.
