1- Lleno de carácter y lleno del sol de Provenza,
2- Ubicado en un camino privado muy tranquilo. No te molestes en el área del centro de la ciudad tus vacaciones.
3- Piscina: disfrutar de un refrescante chapuzón en la piscina después de un día de turismo alrededor
4- Amplia terraza. ¿No te apetece salir? Tome el sol y pida una pizza o una comida para llevar cómodamente
5- Horno de pizza: ¡hasta puedes hacer tu propia pizza en el horno de leña!
6- Sin problemas de coche. Solo deja caer tu auto y déjalo todo lo que quieras. No es necesario que te molesten cuando visites Aix.

We enjoyed our stay at Arlette’s attic suite. Relatively private suite with very responsive host. No major concerns. Walk to most of the restaurants in downtown Aix was 20-30 mins. Supermarket and bakery were closer by. Highway access was very convenient if you have a car! Photos of propert appear to be a bit outdated (e.g. not as bright, small bit of mold on shower curtain and tiles) but all amenities were great and accurate! Really enjoyed the pool and sunbathing during heatwave. The pool is being shared with the host and available 9am-7pm since host may have guests at night. Of note, the pool was shared with the host and her visiting family. Very friendly, but not completely private (fair, since the description was not explicit that it would be a private pool). Bonus: very friendly dachshund that loved to be pet

Nice apartment

This apartment is located in an attic which means that the ceiling is sloped, making it difficult for a taller person. Air conditioning is provided and is a necessity. The location isn't ideal since it is quite a walk to the center of town. Otherwise, the host is warm, friendly and very helpful. I would recommend her property.

Not what you think

Ardelle is the most charming and delightful hostess. What you see on the website and her separate website is not what you get. You do not get the lovely terrace. It is there but private. The kitchen is probably the worst equipped of any place we have ever rented. There are no drawers. No wardrobe. There is a rickety rail but as the bedroom ceiling slopes down to under a metre in height you have to put it in the bit you want to live in. In front of the TV. The person on the left side of the bed has to crawl in and out. You knock your head frequently on the low beam. The sofa is a sofa bed and uncomfy. The terrace has a dreadful view and no through breeze so it is very hot. There is a barbecue but you are not allowed to use it. Shall I go on.? Would I book it again? Not at that price I wouldn’t .

What a very sad state of affair. I didn't want to give a feedback to Christine and her husband as it proved one of the worst experience in 3 years and I prefer to have a positive approach to life. But I noticed they waited the very last minute to submit this feedback to prevent me putting a feedback (a rather telling approach). These guests proved to be the most difficult guests who ever stayed in La Maison Saint Jerome. They wanted loungers, they wanted this and that, requirement that no guests ever asked over 3 years of operating. Which I duly bought to please them. They needed a lift in town and I gladly helped them help them out, even if I haven't even been thanked for it. Total lack of communication with her husband who didn't leave the flat throughout the stay. The flat was left in a terrible state, rubbish left behind to clean (unlike all other guests so far), bathroom filthy, glasses on the floor, etc... one of the worst state I've never seen over 3 years. I am also considering taking this up with HomeAway due to the misrepresentation about the accommodation: * "You do not get the lovely terrace. It is there but private". Not sure what is meant here, there is indeed a terrace and it is indeed private. Yes, Aix in the summer is hot so not sure what I could possibly do. * BBQ are absolutely fine to be used not sure why the comment there? * No wardrobe: There is no picture of wardrobe and plenty of space to put clothes is visible on the pictures The list goes on and on. Would I recommend this couple to any of the HomeAway community. Certainly not. Hosting guests is always a pleasure and I've only enjoyed 5 stars reviews across all sites. It's a shame to come across this attitude once in a while, people who do not engage in a positive manner and relish in complaining in a misrepresentative way. Though, I suppose, it is inevitable.

Clean and convenient

Arlette was very welcoming. This rental was great for 2 people. It was close to a grocery store and about 15 min walk to old town Aix. It was also on the bus line. We parked our car in her driveway and walked every where. Nice deck to enjoy meals outside.

Zentrumsnah und trotzdem ruhig

Ich war für einen Sprachkurs zwei Wochen in Aix und die Wohnung erwies sich als ideal: zu Fuß knapp 15 Minuten durch den Parc de la Torse (sehr schön) zur Schule, knapp 15 Minuten ins Zentrum von Aix, knapp 2 Minuten zum Bäcker, 1 Minute zum Einkaufsmarkt; ich habe das Auto kein einziges Mal gebraucht. Dazu zur Erholung das Schwimmbad. Die Wohnung ist sehr funktional und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Fernseher und Geschirrspüler fehlen zwar, wurden aber nicht vermisst. Sehr gute Internet-WLAN-Verbindung. Bett erfreulich gut, Bettwäsche wird von der Vermieterin gestellt, ebenso die Badhandtücher. Die Vermieterin Arlette ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie wohnt im selben Haus und steht für alle Fragen und Wünsche zur Verfügung. Wenn es zeitlich klappt, komme ich nächstes Jahr wieder.

This charming residence was charming! The owners, Arlette and Herve made us feel so welcome and offered suggestions for our exploration of Provence. We particularly Loved the village of Cassis and our exploration of the lavendar in Valensole as well as the charming village of Moustiers! The terrase offered a lovely place to have morning coffee and the pool was a welcome refreahment after a day of exploring the area. A short walk to market...also convenient! Will be back! This is my childhood house. I grew up in it so no need to say that I have seen Aix change a lot over the years. My father built it on a farm land in the middle of nowhere! I lived and worked abroad and in France before returning in Aix to enjoy retirement and enjoy receiving guests from all over the world :) . Any question on how to make the most of your stay and good tips to visit Aix and the area, do not hesitate to ask!

At La maison Saint Jérôme, you get the best of both world. A short walk to Aix-en-Provence and all its world famous places. A relaxing environment, with birds waking you up rather than the humdrum of a busy town. A large terrace to enjoy, a pool to refresh yourself and fix yourself a BBQ and, dare I say, some insights on the good places to visit in Aix from "a local" are at hand any time :)

La Maison Saint Jérôme is located 10 minutes to the old Aix town, la rue d'Italie. Our guest love getting the best of both worlds, not only being close to the centre of Aix but also a relaxing, green and quiet place. This is especially true as night life in Aix is busy and day life is affected by the many transformation projects taking in town. Our guest also like to enjoy a jump in the pool after a day visiting Aix and its region. Or chill out in the private terrace for an aperitif or a barbecue.
