We loved the Trevi Charming Penthouse; it is absolutely in the beating heart of Rome and within easy walking distance to everything. The Restaurant downstairs is solid, the sandwich shop in the Piazza right outside is gold, and you can walk to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Many notable churches (with Caravaggios) and almost anything else in Rome within minutes. This was our first time having a host meet us at the property, and we were glad he did. First Francesco is a wonderful human and was very helpful, but also remember this is a 500 year old building, it is going to have a few reasonable idiosyncrasies, and he was helpful in navigating those as well. Having Francesco was a huge positive for the property and the whole trip.There's absolutely nothing negative to say about the property itself. Our family of four felt we had a ton of room and a great experience. You can definitely hear if some of the residents or visitors are being especially loud downstairs; we heard late night singing and shenanigans several times, but only when they were being especially loud. If you are unwilling to be in the hustle and bustle of Rome (reminded us of NYC) the minute you step out of the building this may not be for you, but if you want to have Rome right outside your building it's a wonderful place to stay.The coolest thing happened right when we were getting acclimated, several of Rome's Beautiful Green Parakeets were singing and flying around the rooftop right across the way.
