La encantadora casa de campo Il Poggio está rodeada de vegetación, dominando el paisaje de Crete Senesi desde la cima de una colina con una sugerente vista de 360 grados.
El lugar ideal para pasar unas vacaciones relajantes y para interesantes excursiones de un día a hermosas ciudades medievales como Siena, Florencia, Perugia, Montepulciano, Cortona, numerosos pueblos medievales, iglesias y castillos. Las visitas a las bodegas son muy interesantes.
La villa tiene 7 dormitorios, cocina, salón con terraza y 5 baños.
Puede relajarse en la piscina, que tiene 12 metros de largo y 6 metros de ancho.
El pueblo medieval de Montisi está a 3 km; cinco kilómetros de distancia es S. Giovanni d'asso en cuyo antiguo castillo, que data del siglo XIII, tiene lugar la feria de la trufa blanca (marzo y noviembre).

A piece of heaven

This villa is too beautiful to express in words. The views are breathtaking, the villa is perfect in every way. There were 10 of us and it more than suited our needs. Perfect location surrounded by the Tuscan hills. Sunsets are gorgeous! Pool was fantastic. Luigi, the owner, was accessible and always willing to help. We hired The Tuscan Chef for 2 night and that was a real experience. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Don’t pass this one up. It’s wonderful

Beautiful villa

Family group of 9, ranging from 17 to 73 stayed for a week this august and we all loved this villa. The location and views are just beautiful with stunning sun rises and sunsets. We loved the pool but unfortunately were under attack from mozzies and big biting flies but there’s nothing anyone can do about nature. The villa has everything you could need, the only thing that would have been helpful for us as such a big group was more shelves in the oven, there was only one and we ate in a lot. Luigi was lovely and so helpful before and during our stay. Would definitely recommend.

heaven on earth

We spent a wonderful week in this villa. The host was kind and helpful. The house suited our large family (14). The swimming pool was chilling. The views from the house and the sunset were breathtaking. The villa is ideally located to visit cities nearby such as Siena, Firenze, Pienza, Assisi... It was an ideal way to celebrate my 70 th birthday with the people I love most. Thank you, Luigi.

Spring break in Italy

We had two families stay at the villa. We had a 11 people and the size of the house was perfect. We really enjoyed exploring the local towns. We made side trips to Florence and Sienna which were awesome. Luigi is a great host who helped us out with our plans.

Perfect In Every Way

Staying in this house was a definite highlight of our 2 week trip in Europe. Luigi, the owner, was friendly and answered all questions we had while introducing us to the home. Watching the sheep graze and seeing deer on the distant meadows were an added bonus. The pool was great to have and was enjoyed by all 14 of us. We used the washer and clothes line everyday. The small cooking area off of the living room area is great. It has a professional exhaust fan, is well lit and has a sink. We didn’t use it the first night we were there and the small kitchen at the back of the house got very hot. We had booked ahead to have Alessandro, who is The Tuscan Chef, to come on the second day we were there. He had cooked in the house before and introduced us to the cooking area adjacent to the living room. We highly recommend Alessandro - the Tuscan Chef. The meal he taught us how to prepare was delicious, authentic Tuscan, and fun. Alessandro recommended a small wine shop, Porto Franco, in Montisi. The owner was very helpful and her tasting area is an actual cave. The bedrooms were large and accommodated our group. We loved the outdoor covered patio with lovely flowers and plenty of seating. The views and sunsets are magnificent. Pictures we took are quintessentially Tuscan. Some of our friends cannot believe the photos are just as we took them.

Simply The Best.

I've rented 5 different villas in Tuscany and this is the only one I've rented twice. I rented it in October for two weeks and will do so again. It is in the 'sweet spot' of Tuscany with destinations a short distance in all directions. The Villa sits on a hill with views 360 degrees and is well equipped.

Magnificent stay in a timeless site

Luigi is a host always available and ready to help us. Good location near the vilages of montepulciano and Montalcino. I really recommend the house for a large families, or 2 families who want to spend a dream holiday! the rooms are huge.

cool holidays...

My family and two other families of friends we had a great week at this villa, eating every night in the beautiful veranda. the villa is situated on top of a hill with a spectacular view. During the days we did a lot of hiking in the beautiful cities close to us. Very pretty little village of Montisi which is three kilometers. Luigi has been very considerate and gave us numerous places to visit.

A wonderful stay at Il Poggio

We stayed at Il Poggio for two weeks and chose this home for its handicap accessibility. (My mother is temporarily in a wheelchair and does have the ability to walk short distances.) She was able to get all around the first floor in a wheelchair. There's a wooden ramp outside that allowed us to get her to the side porch and into the dining room. One bathroom downstairs had a grab bar and an elevated seat, both very nice for her use. Overall, the house is spacious with large bedrooms. The kitchen is large enough to fix light meals. Who goes to Tuscany to stay in the kitchen cooking? The amazing views of the surrounding landscape aren't shown in the photos provided online. And it is extremely peaceful as you are about 1 km off the road. Internet was primarily available in the living room and a couple of bedrooms upstairs. The home looked just as shown in the photos and was in excellent shape. We visited a cheese maker/farm/restaurant near Pienza, went hot air ballooning just outside Montisi and visit the Avignonesa winery for a tour and lunch. We made day trips to Sinalunga, Pienza, Montalcino, Montipuciano, Assisi, San Gimignon, and Cortona. We found Luigi to be very helpful and friendly! I highly recommend Il Poggio for your stay in Tuscany!

A beautiful villa

It was very nice to stay in this villa with comfortable and clean rooms . we relaxed in the stunning swimming pool drinking good red wine. Thanks to Luigi who was very kind to us. I hope to return next year.

Absolutely spectacular location & view, beautiful old villa in Tuscany

We had a wonderful stay at Luigi's villa in Tuscany. The view was stunning, even more so than the pictures demonstrate. The pool outside was immaculate and beautiful, with a 360 degree view of beautiful Tuscan hills and villages. Needless to say, we spent much of our time outside by the pool. The house was a beautiful old villa with stone walls and lots of beautiful furniture. Some minor disadvantages of the home included: terrible (almost unusable) internet wifi (which Luigi said he would try and address in the future), and extremely firm beds which we found to be quite uncomfortable. Also, there are two small kitchens which are dated and closed off from the other parts of the home. Luigi was extremely responsive to our needs, and a very friendly host. Overall, we highly recommend this property!

Faboulous surroundings!

We were a group of 17 people that stayed at Il Poggio for a week in july. The surroundings were stunning with 360 degrees view over the Tuscan hills. The out door dining area had an amazing view and we enjoyed the sun set while having diner at night. The pool and pool area was very nice, with pergolas that gave nice shade. The lawns were green and fresh, we enjoyed a family volley ball "tournament" here. Montisi and the surrounding small towns were beautiful with good restaurants and pizza. The house was as expected, but we found the kitchen(s) a bit small and inconvenient for our large group. One bed room was to smelly to be used. Some nights it was hard to sleep because of barking dogs. There were not enough sun beds, and many of them were broken. Luigi was very friendly and brought new sun beds to the house very quickly. For an experience of the fantastic Tuscan landscape and charm, the house is well suited. We had a lovely week!

Great place to spend a week exploring Tuscany with friends.

We just wrapped up a week vacation at Il Poggio and had an amazing time. The location is excellent and between the pool, patio, and BBQ pit we spent most of our time outside. It's worth noting, however that the interior left much to be desired. The kitchen was very small and te whole downstairs was quite musty smelling. It was very dark without much natural light inside and only fluorescent lighting. Lastly, the Internet was painfully slow and only worked in the living room (no signal elsewhere in house). Overall we had a great stay and the property was gorgeous with incredible views.

Excellent Villa !

The location could not be better. The villa sits on a hill with 360 degree views and it is near a delightful small hilltop village. It is off the main tourist destinations but accessible to most of the best. The beds are good, the bathrooms plentiful and well equipped. The villa has a pool and a very nice outdoor eating area. We used the well equipped kitchen for most meals but went into the village to one of their three restaurants as well. I have rented 5 villas in Tuscany and this is the best. I plan to rent it again and I can give no higher praise.
