Recently beautifully restored, it consists of a mainhouse (4 bedrooms), a guesthouse (2 bedrooms) , big swimmingpool, gym, big garden, an olive grove and vinyards. This is the place to totally relax, nearby Siena (45 km), Florence (120 km), Pienza (20 km), Montepulciano (30 km) and other beautiful little towns, situated on friendly hill tops and from the villa 360° breathtaking views. The property is beautiful and in a wonderful setting. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and was a pleasure to cook in. It has been a really hot summer and even with air conditioning, we found it difficult to sleep in the upstairs bedrooms. The downstairs rooms were fine and extra fans helped upstairs. There are plenty of large common areas for a group to gather both inside and out. Overall it was a sweet time for family to reconnect and explore Tuscany.

WOW!! What an awesome place! Pictures are great, but you really have to see this place in person to truly appreciate it! Such a beautiful property. The pool, the olive trees, the flowers, the rolling hills, this is exactly what I had pictured in my mind when I thought about Tuscany. This was a great base camp to come home to every day after taking day trips throughout the region. From the villa, it was a scenic drive for us to Sienna, Montepulciano, and Pienza. It was a little longer drive to Florence (glad I saw it, but not as cool as the smaller towns!) but very manageable. Host Jeannine was awesome! Very helpful with check-in and even made us a fantastic lasagna for our arrival! Highly recommend this property! Thanks for the hospitality!

Fantastic property

The property is extremely well maintained and feels brand new. The location is perfect for exploring wine country and villages! The property manager is extremely responsive and helpful, and went as far as stocking groceries prior to our arrival and preparing dinner for us the first night. We were very happy with our experience.

Family Vacation

What a lovely property. We stayed with our extended family and had a magnificent time. The air conditioning was not powerful enough for the summer heat so we did not use the upstairs bedrooms which were the nicest two - a bit unfortunate. Overall this is a spectacular home and we highly recommend it.

Exceptional Experience

We stayed for five nights to attend family wedding 30 minutes away. We had an exceptional time. The Villa was a magnificent place. Our host Jeannine was great from meeting us the first day familiarizing us with the Villa, providing us with a delicious lasagna dinner for our first night and being available throughout our stay. A great venue Congratulations to the owners.

Wonderful Property

This is a beautifully furnished and restored house. The quality of the furnishings and kitchens and bath are excellent. The pool is beautiful and we loved the covered loggia area so you could lounge poolside but still have cover from the sun. Easy to get to several interesting towns including Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano. The house manager was very helpful and pre-shopped for groceries and is available to line up lots of activities. Definitely recommend a stay with family or friends.

Huge stunning house

The only one downfall about this house is in some of the room the AC is too weak for the size of the bedrooms so it was very difficult to cool down. Other than this everything was amazing. The house is fully kitted out with everything you could possibly need !

Unforgettable Family Vacation in Tuscany!

The property is amazing! The photos don't do it justice. We loved everything about the place and our family made memories to last a lifetime. The rooms, pool, and views are all great! Enjoyed walking through the olive grove in the crisp early mornings and lounging by the pool in the warm afternoons. The bocci ball court was loads of fun. Jeannine, the property manager, is super helpful and very responsive. Our family included son, daughter-in-law and their 3 kids, so the separate guest house was a perfect setup for them. The rest of us stayed in the main house with each having our own ensuite bathrooms. Beautiful furnishings - very tasteful and eloquent but comfortable at the same time. We can't wait to return.

A Tuscan Dream

An absolutely magical Christmas holiday in a perfect location! The house...well, really a main house with an incredibly spacious guest house... was beautifully appointed and spotless with plenty of room for our family (that included our two adult children and their spouses as well as an 8 month old baby) to gather - and to spread out.  The property feels like an authentic Tuscan villa....but better; the bedrooms each had new ensuite bathrooms and the new kitchen was well outfitted for us to be able to cook and serve wonderful holiday meals.  Even at that time of year, we were able to spend afternoons playing bocce and enjoying lunch on the well manicured grounds while soaking in the far-reaching views over rolling groves of olives and vineyards to nearby iconic hilltop towns.  Jeannine, the house manager, could not have been more accommodating and responsive.  Her warm welcome - complete with a delicious homemade lasagna and Tuscan Christmas cake - made us feel like we were visiting an old friend.  She worked very hard to make our Christmas holiday stay feel festive and comfortable...and she totally succeeded in every way.  We will be back for sure!

Beautiful property

We had a lovely two weeks at this property. It's large and attractive, with plenty of rooms for everyone. Probably the best part of the experience was the hostess Jeannine. She was an amazing communicator and very responsive when we had any issues. She was absolutely invaluable to us as we learned the area. Be sure to take advantage of all the offerings she can arrange (ie cooking class with Lorenza, painting class with Liz, groceries, and even a private custom meal cooked by her - one of the best meals we had in Italy!). We really appreciated that we could walk to the local town, although it is quite small (just a few cafes/restaurants, a small grocery and not much else). Fortunately the two restaurants are quite good. Please note that while there is reference to a local train station we saw no evidence of any train service to the town. You will need a car (several if you're a large group). Some aspects we appreciated: the home gym, the AC (although it struggled during a heat wave), having 2 laundry facilities, and the beautiful pool. The house is probably best for multiple families, since it's two distinct houses (and the layout is a bit awkward). We were one large family and wished there had been a large gathering space where we could all eat together or play a game. But there are plenty of individual rooms to accommodate families who want to spread out. Be aware that the property is spread out with a lot of stairs, so probably not ideal for the mobility impaired.

UTTERLY AMAZING

I don’t often write reviews but wanted to make an exception given our experience. This will help with the review so I will point out that I am a bit particular when it comes to hotels and their cleanliness 😊. The photos of this house looked perfect and it was in the region we were looking for (close to Pienza) but there were only a few reviews as it is a newer house to VRBO. Upon booking, Instantly the houses host (Jeanine) reached out to ask how she could assist regarding scheduling of any cooking classes, yoga, daytrips etc…. Arguably one of the best moments of the trip was pulling up to the house, meeting Jeanine and getting a tour. The house was recently renovated and it is simply amazing. It is pristine. The pictures do not do it justice. Everything was fully renovated and the grounds and pool area are immaculate. The pools backdrop is olive groves with vineyards directly behind. It is exactly how we had always thought Tuscany would be and the location was great for quick trips to the surrounding towns. Having a good host really is important. Jeanine stocked groceries for us so we did not need to run to the store as soon as we arrived. Someone else referenced the lasagna and that was possibly our families favorite meal of the entire trip as we ate it on the outdoor veranda the day we arrived. This house is exactly how we dreamed Tuscany would be and we thank Jeanine and the owner for sharing it with us. Enjoy!!!!

During one of our holidays in Tuscany we fell in love with the place and the house, It needed a big restoration, but it was worth it, take a look at the pictures and you understand why. We live in the USA but come twice a year to our beloved Verninelle in the heart of Tuscany. And we love to let other people enjoy the beauty of the place and all Tuscany/Italy has to offer....your host, Jeannine, lives nearby the property and is there to make your stay unforgettable. She speaks English, Italian, French, German and Dutch.

The question why we fell in love with this property is rather difficult to answer! falling in love a not a rational thing, it just happens, and that is what exactly was the case when we saw Verninelle and where it is located. With our American /Italian architect we started the project and we are proud of what it became: a beautiful, spacious modern villa, with eye for detail and use of very high quality materials.

Jeannine, your host, can organize your spa visits, guided cultural tours (English spoken) , (E)bike/scooter tours, delicious dinners or lunches, painting and photography courses, yoga lessons, massages at the villa, spa visits, horse riding, in short, everything to make your holidays unforgettable.
