Another Incredible Stay!This was our second time staying at Catkin’s property, and it was just as amazing as we remembered. The views of the glaciers are absolutely breathtaking it’s something we never get tired of. The location is perfect: central enough to easily explore a variety of activities in the area, yet still peaceful and scenic.Catkin is a fantastic host always responsive, welcoming, and helpful, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

Our family had a great stay at this rustic homestead outside of Homer. A bit hard to get to but once you're there, you won't want to leave! The cabin itself was spacious and clean, well-equipped kitchen, washer-dryer, everything we needed. The views were nothing short of stunning! The pics don't do it justice. And the local wildlife! A mama moose and her two babies came by one morning, along with a family of sandhill cranes and a large porcupine. Just an incredible experience for our first time in Alaska--highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Glacier View. The view was amazing. We saw a moose and her 2 babies walk across the property and we saw a coyote on our walk to the beach. Two sand hill cranes performed their mating dance for us. Our host was accommodating and the cabin is adorable. Highly recommend staying here!

Loved this VRBO! It was clean, perfect size for 3-5 people. We enjoyed two days there. We were able to see three moose and some sand hill cranes. Loved the location and views all around. The host was quick to respond and full of knowledge. Enjoyed a hike down to the beach and found some cool shells. Will plan on returning in the future.

Magical Property

We had a wonderful time at the Glacier View Getaway on the Kilcher Homestead! The home has stunning views from multiple areas and there are unique family heirlooms and pictures throughout which give it such a personal touch. The home was well equipped, clean and comfortable.Catkin was such a gracious host! We connected with her a few times and met a number of other family members in our hikes to the beach. It was enjoyable to go on the tour on site to hear about the history of the homestead. It was truly a memorable stay and we look forward to coming back.

Rexlax with a spectacular view

The cabin is very clean and absolutely beautiful with a breathtaking view. We saw a mama moose her her baby out of the living room window in the early morning. Our host Catkin was easy to communicte with. We highly recommend staying there..

AMAZING! The cabin was perfect! The view outstanding! The owners were fabulous! We were lucky and had a moose with her twins bed down by the cabin all day! It was very exciting. The entire stay was so pleasurable and we were so sad to have to leave. Hands down we would stay at that cabin or rent another cabin from these owners any day.

Freakin Amazing

The cabin was so beautiful, as was the surrounding property. We saw moose behind the cabin both nights we were there. Very thoughtful of our hosts to stock the pantry with plenty of everything. It was nice being able to do some laundry while we were there. The gravel road we had to take was super rough in one area, but no big deal - just take it very slow if you have a small car.

Magical Stay!

We enjoyed Glacier View and the Kilcher homestead immensely! The property is just magical from the walk down to the beach to picnic or the evening campfires with amazing views. Catkins cabin has everything needed and she is a gracious and entertaining host. This was our family's favorite part of our Alaska trip and are already planning a return stay. Don't hesitate to see Alaska's splendor and the amazing Kilcher Homestead!
