If you are looking for a place to stay on The Homer Spit overlooking The Homer Harbor this is the place for you. It is Located directly behind The Salty Dawg Saloon and upstairs from The Salty Girls gift shop.
Enjoy all of the benefits of the spit life~ watching the boats come in and out of the Harbor right from the living room windows, beach walks, great restaurants, gift shops, watching The Buttwhackers fillet fish and spending time at The Salty Dawg Saloon.
This cozy one bedroom upstairs apartment offers everything that you need to make yourself at home.
Kitchen has pots, pans, dishes, silverware , glasses, coffee pot, tea kettle and is stocked with misc cooking utensils etc.
Bathroom is shower with bathtub and is supplied with toiletries . There is also a washer and dryer located in the bathroom.
The bedroom has a queen size bed with full linens , blackout shades and plenty of room for you to store clothes.
Living room has a reclining chair , reclining loveseat, smart tv system, monitor heat to keep you warm
The views are absolutely spectacular from every window . You will not be disappointed.
The Salty Dawg does have live bands that play out on the back deck throughout the summer so noise level can get loud at times. This location is not for someone who is looking for a quiet place to stay.

Absolutely gorgeous apt with a fabulous deck that overlooks the harbor! We LOVED our stay here and wish we had time to stay longer. It's close to several restaurants and is right across the street from the beach. There is a bar right next door so there will be louder music until they close but there's a sound machine that helps with that. I would definitely stay here again if I return to the area. We were extremely happy!

That was the best place to stay since I have been going to Homer from the 80's. The accomadations were all and then some. I will be staying there from now on as long as it is available. Meeting Ms. Donna was also a pleasure.

Amazing Location

Gorgeous location, perfect place to stay in all the action! Amazing restaurants walkable and great people watching! I’d stay here again!

The place to stay on the Spit

This place is wonderful! On the Spit, right next to the harbor and walking distance to everything! I don't think our car moved at all. We walked to shops, restaurants and literally right out the door to our fishing charter. Very clean, has all the amenities and the host is great! We were coming off a 7 day cruise, so the washer and dryer in the unit was a huge blessing.

Perfect location!

Everything was absolutely perfect! The location was great right in the middle of all the action on the spit. It was fun to watch boats come in and out of the harbor. The place was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we needed.

Spectacular is not an exaggeration. This is an apartment with quality furnishings. The host thought of every possible need a customer might have. We felt at home and comfortable. No words seem to express just how enjoyable this stay was.

This property is literally within walking distance to the entire Spit. It's literally right over Salty Girls and right next to the Salty Dawg. The views are incredible and the property is clean and well maintained and the attention to detail inside was so thoughtful. I actually don't think the listing does this property justice. The deck was so enjoyable that other tourists kept trying to come onto the deck before realizing it was part of the property. The parking is unbeatable for the area too. Super easy and convenient considering the parking police are brutal on the Spit. We would love to return to this peaceful gem. Thank you for wonderful accommodations!

truly perfect!

stayed with friend, this was just a perfect location- stayed with friend- stunning views from all windows, great set up (complete kitchen, also a washer and dryer!), comfy bed and a wonderful deck. Everything you could need has been thought of, would not hesitate to go back. (Was initially a bit worried about staying over the Salty Dog saloon- did have ear plugs, owner also provided a sound machine in the BDR, but turned out to be just fine). Very highly recommend if staying in Homer :)

Great location, great view. Very clean and well maintained. Donna had all the little details covered for out of towners’s. She was very easy to contact and very welcoming. I would recommend her rental to everyone and I’ll be back!

If you’re looking for a place to stay in, Homer absolutely book this VRBO! It is beautiful, overlooking the harbor with easy access to shopping and, of course, THE Salty Dawg Saloon!Communication with the host was exceptional and the accommodations were above expectations. Everything is spotlessly, clean and in “like new condition”I would rate this among the best places to stay on the Homer Island Spit if not the best place to stay!

Cozy abode in the action!

We loved staying here! It’s private, cozy, and still central to all the action on the Homer spit. My friend and I enjoyed sitting on the deck to watch boats and wildlife and walking to all the shops nearby. We also loved the living room fireplace and the fully stocked kitchen. It was clean we felt very safe. The saloon is next door of course, so make sure to bring some earplugs if you plan to go to bed before 1 AM. :)If you’re looking for a homey landing pad for your walking adventures on the spit, this is a great spot. Thanks for hosting us!

Great place to stay on Homer Spit!

We stayed a Friday & Saturday night and were a bit worried about what noise we might hear, especially from the neighboring saloon. But it was no issue at all! The place was quiet, cozy, large, comfortable and clean! The only slight issue was that one day, someone had parked in the designated parking spot, so we had to park in the neighboring lot ($10). But no biggie, it was still close. Great place to stay to be right on the spit and close to the action.

Great rental on Homer spit

We loved our stay here. Great to be right where the action is. Seeing the boats coming and going in the harbor, a seal and sea otter joined at times as well. Apartment is very comfortable with a beautiful kitchen. Comfortable bed. We appreciated having tea, coffee, salt and pepper and our favorite chocolate. Thanks Donna!

Amazing apartment in Homer

Probably the best view from the spit. The afternoon show, watching the pro fish filet teams after the boats came back was great. Fully equipped kitchen. Easy walk to all restaurants and shops on the spit. Parking just downstairs from the porch.
