Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love this location and each time we rent a little longer than the time before and I’ll be darned it still flies by. Amanda (wine country to coast rental agency representative is amazing. Excellent customer support. The amenities this time were great! House always had a coffee pot, but now they have a Keurig machine (we used usually packed ours) and different flavored pods. Also the bathroom has upgraded supplies and for the hot tub towels are now provided for guest use! Sounds silly but I really appreciated all the extras the agency provided and didn’t have to unpack half of my own items. Love the entire atmosphere of this house. The deer are so beautiful and friendly. Pet friendly too!

Easily the best stocked beach home I have ever visited. There were so many wonderful little surprises and extras … the dishes and ability to make utterly anything that came to mind was truly appreciated. The property was clean, lovely floor plan with enough space for everyone and then some! We absolutely loved our visit to Dillon Beach!

There were some problems with windows and how hot the house was with minimal fresh air. Problem with parking pass. Views were amazing and since I was at the beach most of the time, it was ok. Won't be back there again. Prefer a property closer to the ocean.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a really great home. It’s super cozy and the view is stunning. The visits by the deer really made it special. It’s a nice layout where the kitchen & main bedroom are on the floor where you enter. Our older dog couldn’t use the stairs. They’re a little steeper than normal. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because I had a very negative experience with the management company. I received an email at 4pm on our arrival day which I didn’t see until 10pm. The email said that there would be road paving the following day. The email & attached map was so unclear that it looked as if we might be stuck inside the house for the week. I impatiently waited until 8am the following day to call the emergency # to find they had no one I could talk to. It ended up we were ONLY stuck inside the first full day we were there. It was a very stressful. I understand things happen and they didn’t know the HOA was paving. It worked ok to stay in that day. I’m really surprised I never got a follow apology or call. I also never requested compensation. Just disappointing.

A beautiful home in a beautiful location. Highly recommend. The kids loved watching the ocean and wildlife through the great big windows. We saw rabbits, deer, an owl and more. Lots of room for all of us to stretch out and get comfortable.

Beautiful views but the house has a lot of deferred maintenance. A mixed bag on this home. Ocean homes get so much weather abuse and has to be kept up all the time. This has not been done. The beds were old and uncomfortable. The whole house needed updating. Windows were old some broken and most could not be opened. Hot tub was nice and pretty new. If you want a home with an ocean view, short drive to a doggie beach this is a good escape. We made the best of our time but would not return.

A needed relaxing break!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was perfect for a get away to just relax and breath. I was looking for a place to just unwind and relax from the constant everyday worries and stresses. I wasn’t sure what foods to bring and what I would be able to prepare meals with but this place has it all. Once I arrived I saw I had nothing to worthy about I went out to the chairs in the back with a beverage and watched a beautiful sunset followed by my first of many times in the spa. There is a picture of the few from the living room couch that doesn’t express enough how nice it was to sit on the couch in the morning with my coffee and see that few without any obstructions at all. I recommend this place for anyone who is looking to get away, plenty of enjoyment for a family as well

Although it was really storming outside, we had all the comforts we needed to enjoy the view, the storm and relax all at the same time. Abalone Alcove is a cozy vacation rental with an absolutely lovely view ofDillon’s Beach. And the pool table created very entertaining matches. Mom won - lol!

The views did it.

We went during the Winter and it was cold for us. It took us a minute to get the heaters figured out but they worked well once we did. The upstairs bed is very firm and downstairs bed medium in case that is important to anyone. I have a hard time on firm mattresses so ended up on the couch. They’re steep streets if you’re planning on walking around or to the beach but thankfully there is a parking pass included to park near an access trail. Tons of deer traveling through which was nice to see so you’ll need to be mindful of ticks on your pup. The views out the dining and living rooms are beautiful and made staying inside worthwhile.

Amazing escape!

We came up for a birthday weekend in the fall. The house is so cozy and comfortable. The views are to die for. We kayaked in Bodega Bay and used the concierge service to hire a paella chef who came to the house. The hot tub is fantastic and much needed. The teens took the downstairs level with their own bathroom, bedrooms, living room and pool table. We drove to do our beach walk but you could walk it if you are okay with hills. We can’t wait to stay here again.

We were missing bed sheets and called for extra sheets as we could not locate any in the rental. We called at 10:00pm, so not to late, there was never a response and we just had to get along without linens. No follow up at all. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

Perfect family vacation house.

We had a wonderful stay at the Abalone Alcove house. Our teenage boys got plenty of practice on the pool table and could almost beat us by the end of our week. The design of the house was perfect so our kids could really be on the lower level and we could our own little getaway upstairs. It was just what we needed and more than we hoped for.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented this property at the end of May. A week and a half before my rental was to start, my husband was admitted to the hospital for a serious condition. I appealed to the host for a merciful refund or partial refund. No response. After two days I told host I assumed she said no. A day after that she replied that unfortunately my request came with in the 60 days needed to make a refund. I didn't even make the rental before 60 days. I needed help entering the property. Called the number. the people at the desk of the management company running this rental had no clue how to help me and it took about half an hour to get the info to enter.No parking passes, when informed they said they would get on it. Never heard from them. I have been a frequent star guest of Vrbo's. This place is not worth the lack of empathy and disregard I experienced.
